1 Install Office 365 ProPlus with the Office Deployment Tool Overview These instructions define the steps to download and install Office 365 ProPlus using the Office Deployment Tool. Office 365 ProPlus can only be installed on workstations running Windows 7, 8, 8.1 or 10. Download the Office Deployment Tool Follow steps 1 4 to download the Office Deployment Tool *The Office Deployment Tool is approximately 1GB in size. It is recommended to download the tool the night before installation. Step Action 1 Click here to access and download the Office Deployment Tool zip file. 2 At the prompt, click Save As. Choose a location to save the Office-Deployment-Tool.zip file. 3 Navigate to the location you saved the Office-Deployment- Tool.zip file. Right-click on the file and choose Extract All. This will extract the contents of the Office-Deployment-Tool.zip file to a folder labeled Office-Deployment-Tool. 4 Copy the extracted Office-Deployment-Tool folder to the media you will use during installation. 2 Install Office 365 ProPlus with the Office Deployment Tool (Continued) Install Office 365 ProPlus Follow steps 1 16 to install Office 365 with the Office Deployment Tool. 1 Log in as a user with local administrative privileges. 1 It is recommended that you Uninstall existing versions of Office by running this Fix it tool. 2 Navigate to the location you saved the Office-Deployment-Tool folder (desktop, flash drive, etc). 3 Open the Office folder. 4 Double click on file labeled ODT.bat 5 A command window will open running the command setup.exe /configure configuration.xml. 6 Office will begin the setup process. 3 7 If prompted to Activate Office, sign in using the employee s user id you re installing for (ex: MyBSAusername@scouting.org) and click Next. Enter employee s MyBSA password and click Sign in. Install Office 365 ProPlus with ODT 3 of 7 01/20/2016

4 8 When the Welcome to your New Office window appears, click Next. 9 On the First things first screen, choose No thanks then click the Accept button. Install Office 365 ProPlus with ODT 4 of 7 01/20/2016

5 10 A short introduction video may play. No interaction is required. 11 On the Meet SkyDrive screen, click the Next button. Install Office 365 ProPlus with ODT 5 of 7 01/20/2016

6 12 Pick a design from the list, and click the Next button. 13 From the Take a look at what s new screen, you may choose Take a look for a brief PowerPoint presentation on Office 365, or choose No, thanks to skip the PowerPoint. 14 If you see this screen, it will show a progress bar for the Office installation.
