1 DEPOSITPARTNER INSTALLATION GUIDE Desktop Application SCANNER DRIVER INSTALLATION NOTE: In order for the scanner to work properly, the scanner drivers must be installed before downloading the DepositPartner software. 1. Click the link that was provided to you in the welcome sent from 2. Click DepositPartner Scanner Driver in the Installation Software & Driver section. 3. A File Download Security Warning box will appear asking for permission to open or save the file. Click Open. 4. A zip file box will open. Double-click on setup.exe. Last Update 7/26/2016 Page 1

2 5. The following User Account Control notice may be presented. If you receive this notice, click Yes. If you do not get this notice, move to step The InstallShield Wizard will appear. Wait for this step to complete and do not click Cancel. 7. On the next screen, click Next to install the TellerScanDriver. 8. On the next screen, click Install The next screen shows you that the TellerScanDriver is installing. Wait for this step to complete and do not click Cancel. Last Update 7/26/2016 Page 2

3 10. Once done, the following InstallShield Wizard Completed screen will show. Click Finish The following screen pop up will appear requesting to restart the PC for the TellerScanDriver configuration changes to take effect. Close all open applications on your desktop, including the zip file, and click Yes. Once the PC has restarted, the scanner driver installation is complete. Last Update 7/26/2016 Page 3

4 STEP 2: SCANNER HARDWARE INSTALLATION NOTE: Before installing the scanner hardware, make sure you have downloaded the DepositPartner Scanner Driver and that all of the items listed below were included in the scanner shipment you received. If anything is missing, please contact Johnson Bank Customer Support Center at It is very important that you retain the original box the scanner came in for warranty purposes. Packaging List: 1. Teller Scan Device (scanner) 2. Ink-Jet cartridge 3. USB 2.0 Cable 4. Power supply cord 5. Cleaning Kit 6. Disposable Check Bags 7. Support Contact card The Teller Scan Device should be located on a flat surface near the PC. 1. Plug the Power Supply cord into the Teller Scan Device and a nearby power outlet. The smaller end will be plugged into the Teller Scan Device while the larger end will plug into the power outlet. 2. Connect the USB cable to the USB port located on the rear of the scanner and to an available USB port on the PC. 3. Turn the scanner on by using the on/off switch located on the back of the scanner. If you have the CX-30 model, there is not an on/off switch, this scanner will automatically turn on when connected to the PC. 4. Your PC should find the new hardware once the USB cable is plugged into the scanner and your PC. If your PC found the new hardware, you are finished installing. Re-boot your PC before utilizing DepositPartner. If your PC does not automatically find the new hardware, continue with Step Click the Windows icon located on the bottom left corner of your PC to access your start menu and choose Control Panel. 5 6. From the Control Panel, click Devices and Printers. 7. Once the Devices and Printers screen opens, Click Add a device. 8. Select the TS Device from the list Windows provides and click Next. Last Update 7/26/2016 Page 5

6 9. Click Close on the confirmation page that tells you the device has been successfully added. 10. To validate the device has installed properly, highlight the TS Device on the Control Panel under Devices and Printers. Right click and select Properties. 11. From the properties screen, select the Hardware tab. The Device Status will show This device is working properly STEP 3: SOFTWARE INSTALLATION NOTE: This install will take approximately minutes, depending on the number of applications running on your PC. 1. On the PC where DepositPartner will be installed, click the link that was provided to you in the Welcome sent from cashsupport@johnsonbank.com. 2. Click DepositPartner Software (Desktop Application Only) in the Installation Software & Driver section. 3. The Application Install Security Warning box will appear. Click Install. 4. An installing window will show the progress of the software installation. Do not click CANCEL. 5. After the DepositPartner software is installed, the Login screen will appear. Type the user name and password that was provided to you by Johnson Bank Last Update 7/26/2016 Page 6

7 6. You will be prompted to enroll/register for Multi-Factor Authentication. Refer to the Multi-Factor Authentication User Guide for assistance with this enrollment/registration. 7. You may receive a Password Expired pop-up after you ve successfully enrolled/ registered for Multi-Factor Authentication and logged in. Click OK. If you do not get this screen, skip to Step The following screen will have your user ID and old password pre-filled. Enter a new password and confirm it a second time, then click OK. NOTE: User passwords must be a minimum of 8 alpha-numeric characters, plus one symbol #, $, %). The address will be prefilled with the that was provided on the DepositPartner Schedule. Once the password has been updated, a password confirmation e- mail will be sent as confirmation. Last Update 7/26/2016 Page 7

8 9. After logging in successfully, you will be prompted to register the scanner to your PC. Your location will be the street address where the scanner is located. If you have two locations utilizing DepositPartner with one scanner at each location, make sure to choose the correct location and the appropriate scanner that you are utilizing. Click Register Client. 10. Add the DepositPartner Icon to Desktop» Windows Vista and 7 Steps: Select Start Menu and choose All Programs Click the Johnson Bank Folder from the list Right click on DepositPartner, select Send To, Choose Desktop (create shortcut) Last Update 7/26/2016 Page 8
