2 A General precautions Read the instructions carefully before beginning the installation and carry out the actions as specified by the manufacturer. The installation, programming, commissioning and maintenance of the product must only be carried out by qualified technicians, properly trained in compliance with the regulations in force, including health and safety measures and the disposal of packaging. Before carrying out any cleaning or maintenance operation, disconnect the device from the power supply. The equipment must be destined solely for the use for which it was expressly designed. The manufacturer declines all liability for any damage as a result of improper, incorrect or unreasonable use. DESCRIPTION Audio module for Dual Band GSM systems. The module can make audio calls in speaker mode to telephone numbers on fixed and mobile networks, via the pressing of call buttons or entry of codes on MTMKB keypads. From the phone, you can open the door or activate the AUX relay using the numerical keypad to communicate or the dial to open function. Main features Maximum 98 call keys (12 MTM8C modules). Option to manage a contacts list containing a maximum of 1000 telephone numbers, which may possibly be organised into groups. A group can be made up of a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 5 telephone numbers Each group can be associated with a call key (see section 3. Associating a group of users with a call key on the entry panel). The numbering of the keys follows the logic show in figure A, according to which key 1 is associated with group 1, key 2 with group 2, etc.; a call order is associated with the telephone numbers that make up a group, to be used to manage call diversion when there is no answer B Page 2 - Manual FB00758-EN - vers. 1-06/2017- Came S.p.A. - The data and information shown in this manual are to be considered subject to change at any time and without the need for any advance warning.

B Call the telephone numbers associated with group 4. Call the first number in group 4, if there is no answer, call the second number in group 4, if there is no answer, etc. Call the telephone numbers associated with group 6. Call the first number in group 6, if there is no answer, call the second number in group 6, if there is no answer, etc. The telephone numbers in the contacts list (maximum 1000) can be authorised to command relays on board and/or associated with the call keys; for example, it is possible to call the module from a number (that has the correct authorisations) to operate the solenoid lock or the entry panel's on-board relay. The MTMAGSM module combined with the MTMKB module makes available up to 2000 codes to manage the activation of door releases and relays; it is also possible to associate a customised call code with each group. COMMISSIONING THE DEVICE Preliminary operations Note: The micro-sim card (not included) must be enabled for 2G data traffic and for sending and receiving SMS messages. Check the availability and costs of these services with your mobile phone operator. Note: Make sure that module MTMAGSM has no power and that the SIM card's PIN code has been disabled. Before inserting the micro-sim card into module MTMAGSM, it is advisable to test the sending and receiving of SMS messages by using the micro-sim on a normal mobile phone, in the proximity of the area in which you intend to install the device. Module start-up Insert the micro-sim card into its housing as shown in the installation instructions. Connect the external aerial to the module socket and power the system. During start-up all the call button LEDs flash at the same time; calls cannot be made during this stage. optimum operation only once registration has been completed, and where there is a good GSM signal. Checking connection to GSM network status Press and hold down the PROG button; the LED above the button provides the following signals: Flashing quickly (< 2 seconds) = Flashing slowly (> 2 seconds) = The module is ready for Module not registered with network Module registered with network

4 OPERATIONS THAT CAN BE CARRIED OUT FROM THE TELEPHONE During the conversation between the telephone and the entry panel, it is possible to carry out the following operations using the telephone keypad: Increase the speaker volume Lower the speaker volume Activate the solenoid lock PROGRAMMING VIA SMS * 0 # Adjusting the speaker volume (for call in progress) If during the conversation the person you are talking to cannot hear your voice at the right volume, you can increase the speaker volume by pressing key 1, or lower it by pressing key 4. Adjusting the microphone volume (for call in progress) If you can't hear the voice of the person in front of the audio entry panel, you can press key 3 to increase or key 6 to reduce the sensitivity of the microphone. Programming via SMS requires the sending of individual SMS composed in such a way as to contain the information required to programme the entry panel. Access to the entry panel is password protected; the factory settings set the password at "0000". General information on the composition of a programming SMS The text of a valid programming SMS starts with the password assigned to the entry panel. For example, if the access password is still the default one: One or more commands to programme the device can be added to this sequence; each command or sequence of commands message must end with the symbol #. The different types of commands are identified by a numerical code. If the commands are for the purpose of setting parameters, each of the data items to be set is preceded by the character. (see table of commands). Each command can be sent in an individual SMS and must be preceded by the symbol #. For example if you want to change the default password (0000) for a new password (1234), the command code is 10 and the SMS to key in is: # # Increase the microphone volume Lower the microphone volume Activate the entry panel on-board relay End the call Page 4 - Manual FB00758-EN - vers. 1-06/2017- Came S.p.A. - The data and information shown in this manual are to be considered subject to change at any time and without the need for any advance warning.

5 Alternatively, an individual SMS can contain a series of commands, each preceded by the symbol #, on condition that the length of the SMS does not exceed the maximum number of characters permitted for a single SMS. Page 5 - Manual FB00758-EN - vers. 1-06/2017- Came S.p.A. - The data and information shown in this manual are to be considered subject to change at any time and without the need for any advance warning. If the programming SMS contains more than one parameter, these must always be preceded by the symbol.. Example of SMS with chain of numerical commands and parameters: # # # # If there is some text amongst the command parameters, it must be written between the characters. Example of SMS with chain of commands containing numerical parameters and text labels: # # C A M E G R O U P # # If you want to use a command that is for setting various miscellaneous parameters (for example, the command that sets the ring time and conversation time), leaving one of the values unchanged, you must compose the SMS leaving empty fields in the space reserved for the parameters that are not to be changed (.. ). Example of SMS in which the command requires the setting of two parameters and you want to programme only the second of the two, leaving the first unchanged: # # To know the outcome of sending one or more commands to the entry panel, enter the character? at the end of the desired command(s), before the symbol #. Example of programming SMS with request for outcome for the first parameter programmed: # ? # C A M E G R O U P # The message received in response to the SMS in the example can have 3 different outcomes and, therefore, contents: 20OK = The command has been received and carried out correctly, 20E1 = The command contains wrong parameters, 20E2 = The command has not been carried out. For commands that require a reply SMS (e.g. request for GSM signal strength or request for firmware version of connected modules), enter character? at the end of the command and before symbol #. Example of SMS that requires a reply SMS: 8 0? #
