1 General Specifications Y52010A/Y52011A/Y52012A LinkforSap SAP R/3 PP-PI Communication Software Package GENERAL This GS covers the specifications and system configuration of LinkforSap SAP R/3 PP-PI Communication Software Package (LinkforSap). The LinkforSap connects Yokogawa s CENTUM Control System (CENTUM) with SAP R/3 PP-PI (Production Planning - Process Industries) module. With the LinkforSap, users can download production order generated by R/3 PP-PI and upload result data gathered by CENTUM without creating a user application program. With our production support software packages, the LinkforSap enables real-time integration of enterprise information system with production control system. FEATURES (1) Real-time data connection Connecting R/3 PP-PI with CENTUM enables real-time integration of enterprise information system and production control system. This software package can handle continuous and batch process data. (2) Program-less configuration Defining transfer data and timing on the definition tool (configurator) allows communication without a user application program. To define transfer data, correspond R/3 PP-PI-defined data name to tag name and data name defined on the CENTUM. (3) Connectivity with other production control system LinkforSap consists of Common Communication Function and standard I/F adapter. A user version of the I/F adapter to connect with other production control system can be created using C language functions in the LinkforSap communication interface library. 2 2 SYSTEM CONFIGURATION Figure 1 shows the system configuration using CENTUM CS. The LinkforSap runs on a production support computer. 3 3 SOFTWARE CONFIGURATION Figure 2 shows software configuration in using CENTUM CS. LinkforSap consists of three software shaded in the figure. (1) Y52010A LinkforSap SAP R/3 PP-PI Common Communication Function This software executes communication with R/3 PP-PI and communication assignment to a connected I/F adapter. (2) Y52011A LinkforSap SAP R/3 PP-PI Exaview I/F Adapter This software is an interface to transfer data between Yokogawa s Exaview Process Data Acquisition/Management Package (handling continuous process data) and R/3 PP-PI, and provides both data mapping between them and data conversion. (3) Y52012A LinkforSap SAP R/3 PP-PI CS Batch I/F Adapter This software is an interface to transfer data between Yokogawa s CS Batch Management Package and R/3 PP-PI, and provides both data mapping between them and data conversion. 4 4 OPERATING ENVIRONMENT 1. Hardware HP9000 server or workstation Server: E class or D class Workstation: Series 700, B class, C class Main memory: 64MB or more (at the smallest system configuration) Disk: 2GB or more (at the smallest system configuration) To use a server or workstation not listed in the above, please contact the section in charge. 2. Software HP-UX10.10/10.20, CDE environment Supervisory system: SAP R/3 Release Other software (1) Exaview I/F Adapter Y32000C Exaview*C Basic Part is required. This software runs on the HP9000 server only (does not run on a workstation). Y32030B Exaview Remote Tag Access (Client/server) optional If handling the Exaview data on the remote host, this software is necessary on the local and remote hosts. Y32011B Exaview*C Event Logging Process optional If handling Exaview event messages, this software is necessary on the local host. This software handles Exaview event messages on the local host only. This software runs on the HP9000 server only (does not run on a workstation). (2) CS Batch I/F Adapter The following software are required; SIH6600 CS Batch Recipe Management Package (installed on the ICS) SIH6610 CS Batch Process Management Package (installed on the ICS) SIH3130 CS Batch Process Management Package (installed on the FCS) SIH6662 CS Batch Production Planning and Scheduling Interface (installed on the ICS) SIH6663 CS Batch Production Information Management Interface (installed on the ICS) To upload batch trend data onto the R/3 PP-PI, the following software is required. SIH4820 Historical Message/Trend Text Conversion Package (installed on the ICS) optional SPECIFICATIONS 1. Overview Connecting with R/3 PP-PI Ethernet interface Connectij with Process Data Acquisition Function (Using Exaview I/F Adapter) LinkforSap acquires data from Exaview, CENTUM s process data server. The following CENTUM control systems can be connected to Exaview; Integrated Production Control System CENTUM CS; Ethernet interface (TCP/IP) via a gateway station Integrated Production Control System CENTUM-XL, CENTUM-V; HF-bus interface Distributed Control System mxl; Ethernet interface (TCP/IP) Connecting with Batch Management Function (Using CS Batch I/F Adapter) Integrated Production Control System CENTUM CS can be connected to transfer CS batch data.

5 5 Transferable Data Data acquired by Exaview Process Data Acquisition Function and processed by CS Batch Management Function. For communication, define transfer data and timing. Definition Tool A configurator is available to define communication and transfer data. A transfer data can be defined by corresponding data name defined on a R/3 PP-PI to tag name and data name defined on the CENTUM. Specification Details 2.1 Communication Data (1) Common Communication Function The following data defined by R/3 PI-PCS interface Control recipe (R/3 PP-PI to LinkforSap) Process parameter: Specifies data for CENTUM and upload timing of CENTUM data Process data request: Specifies process data requested to CENTUM Process message reservation: Specifies process event that requires a report Process message (LinkforSap to R/3 PP-PI) Reply to control recipe (in principle) (2) Exaview I/F Adapter Process data/message (CENTUM to LinkforSap) The following Exaview data specified by a control recipe Instantaneous data, one-minute data Closing data Tag attributes Event message Data is uploaded upon; R/3 PP-PI data request However, event messages are uploaded upon Exaview event detection. Closing data can be uploaded each time Exaview complets a closing process by defining the Exaview user script.

8 8 2.3 Communication Interface Library <Common Communication Function> This is a C language function library for data communication with R/3 PP-PI. With the functions of communication interface library, an custom I/F adapter function can be created. Communication Management Functions (3 types) Transfer Data Send/Recipe Functions (4 types) Common Functions (3 types) 2.4 Process Instruction Category A control recipe consists of various instructions for control system. These instructions are defined on the R/3 PP-PI according to purpose, called process instruction category. Each control recipe is defined by a combination of process instruction categories and characteristic values of each process instruction category. The Exaview I/F Adapter and CS Batch I/F Adapter cover the following process instruction categories. (1) Exaview I/F Adapter R/3 PP-PI Standard Process Instruction Category AREAD1, AREAD2, AORD_1, AMAT_1, APHASE_1, APROD_1, ACONS_1, ACRST_I, AOPST_I, APHST_I R/3 PP-PI Non-standard Process Instruction Category AREADC1, AEVENT1, APHSCH These categories must be prepared by the R/3 PP-PI customizing capability, if necessary. (2) CS Batch I/F Adapter R/3 PP-PI Standard Process Instruction Category AREAD1, AREAD2, AORD_1, AMAR_1, APHASE_1, APROD_1, ACONS_1, ACRST_I, AOPST_I, APHST_I, APHAR_1, AQMSMR_1 R/3 PP-PI Non-standard Process Instruction Category: Not available 2.5 Process Message Category Process messages are defined on the R/3 PP-PI according to purpose, and they are sent from a control system to the R/3 PP-PI. This is called a process message category. The process message category and its characteristic value define which process message is sent to the R/3 PP-PI. The Exaview I/F Adapter and CS Batch I/F Adapter cover the following process message categories. (1) Exaview I/F Adapter> R/3 PP-PI Standard Process Message Category DPREAD, PI_PROD, PI_CONS, PI_CRST, PI_OPST, PI_PHST R/3 PP-PI Non-standard Process Message Category CPREAD, CPEVENT To use these formats, the R/3 PP-PI program must be customized (defined). Disk capacities: 5.5 MB or more (2) Exaview I/F Adapter> Main memory: About 3.5 MB (package) and Me (each system) Me: When defining 1,000 process message mapping definitions and receiving 24 control recipes including 100 process instruction categories AREAD1, Me is about 2.5 MB. Disk capacities: About 5 MB (package) and De (each system) De: When defining 1,000 process data mapping definitions, saving 100 process message categories DPREAD for 10 days and receiving 24 control recipes/day, De is about 16.1 MB. (3) CS Batch I/F Adapter> Main memory: 4.5 MB*number of started projects Disk capacities: About 10 MB (package) and Db (each system) Db: When saving 20 batches/day (about 8 KB/batch) if one batch is 100 data) for 10 days, Db is about 16 MB.
