1 General Specifications SS2CPML Product Maintenance License GENERAL Product Maintenance License (hereinafter, referred to as PML) is a license for support service of standard system software on customer's systems. The license has the Customer Support Information (CSI) access rights, standard software failure analysis request rights and software upgrade rights. The support service is available from the first year. In addition, Yokogawa provides a Product Maintenance License with a program to migrate from the existing version to the latest version at a special price. FUNCTIONAL SPECIFICATIONS Applicable Systems CENTUM VP systems R6.01 or later New installations of CENTUM VP R6 system CENTUM CS 1000/CS 3000/VP systems upgraded to R6.01 or later ProSafe-RS systems R4.01 or later New installations of ProSafe-RS R4 system ProSafe-RS systems upgraded to R4.01 or later PRM systems R3.30 or later New installations of PRM R3.30 or later PRM systems upgraded to R3.30 or later Expiration date of a License PML has an expiration date of 1~3 years from date of delivery. Customer must update the license to continue to receive service. If a customer who has some blank periods without PML intends to renew a license, the customer needs to pay for the blank paeriods. Supported software packages (*1) CENTUM VP R6 software packages ProSafe-RS R4 software packages Plant Resource Manager (PRM) R4/R3 software packages *1: In this document, a software package means a software function unit that becomes available by a software license. Above-mentioned packages are listed in the Appendix later. License Details Web Access Service Customer with the Product Maintenance License can refer to system product maintenance information on Customer Support Information (CSI) by registering customer information. In addition, it is possible to receive update information notice by . CSI contains the following information. Support Information Software Release Information Advanced Technical Supports Technical Support Team in Yokogawa is to help solve problems with the standard software via Global Response Center. Advanced Technical supports include provisions of workaround of failures and the patch software. Information for vulnerabilities related to the standard software and workaround and/or patch software are provided. 2 2 Offerings Upgrade License (revision up/patch) Upgrade License is necessary to execute CENTUM VP/ProSafe-RS/PRM system revision upgrade or patch installation. There provide the Upgrade License that would be until the expiration date of PML. By the valid Upgrade License, will be able to renew to the latest revision software and/or install latest patch. The Upgrade License will be handled by the license manager on systems with CENTUM VP R6.04 or later, ProSafe-RS R4.03 or later or PRM R4.01 or later. Note: Service Fee is separately charged when system revision upgrade or patch installation is executed. Update Support Yokogawa will provide version upgrade license for updating from the existing software on customer sites to the upward-compatible latest software at a special price by continuously owning the Product Maintenance License. Note: Service Fee is separately charged when system version upgrade is executed. Product Maintenance Point The Product Maintenance Point is determined by the number of the software packages included in the system under the same project ID of each product (CENTUM VP, ProSafe-RS, and PRM). Select suffix codes by the product maintenance points, which can be calculated by multiplying the quantity of the software packages by the package point(s) shown in the table below. Refer to the formula below for how to calculate the product maintenance points. ORDERING INFORMATION Specify model and suffix codes. And, specify a project ID number of the applicable system (CENTUM VP or/and ProSafe-RS). Example: VP for CENTUM VP, RS for ProSafe-RS. When the sytem includes only PRM, it isn't necessary to specify PRM project ID number. The PML start date for SS2CPML is the issue date of license. In the case of a new contract, please set the contract start month as the delivery date. In the case of continuation, please set the next month of contract end month as the delivery date.
