9 Training Methodology The course will follow the T + L+T+ L+ T + L methodology. Wherever applicable or mentioned, the student will have to create and submit assignments and will also have to appear for Internal Tests. Assignments [A]: Assignments for each module should be completed during the allocated time. The assignments will have to be submitted to the faculty for evaluation. Additional Assignments wherever applicable have been provided in the respective module presenter s manual. Faculty has to ensure that student creates the assignment. The project/portfolio created by the students will be a connectivity of all assignments created. Internal Tests [Te]: The student will have to appear for Internal Tests. The objective questions for Internal Tests will be prepared by the faculty only. Internal Tests for modules mentioned in the evaluation table should be completed during the time allocated for test. 10 Evaluation Components I. Assignments Assignments will be administered by the faculty while conducting the course. The following table lists the topics involved in the course: Marks: 25 per assignment Duration: 2 hours each 1. Designing for Web using Markup Language and Style sheets 2. Developing Interactive Web Pages 3. Design and Development using Programming Language 4. Content Management System 5. Search Engine Optimization 6. Google Analytics II. Internal Tests The faculty will administer the Internal Tests. These tests will be according to the table given below. Marks: 25 per test Duration: 2 hours each 1. Designing for Web using Markup Language and Style sheets 2. Developing Interactive Web Pages 3. Design and Development using Programming Language and Content Management System 4. Search Engine Optimization and Google Analytics III. Project This project will be a portfolio of the students with emphasis on Web Design and Development Portfolio. Faculties should ensure that the students have taken a backup on the CD. At the end of the semester, students will make a presentation of all the projects and they will be evaluated. Marks: 100 Duration: As per the PM IV. Semester End Examination Examinations will be conducted at the end of each semester. The students will be evaluated on the examinable modules based on the evaluation strategy given in the table below. Below is the list of modules to be covered in Final Examination along with their weightages: Marks: 20 Type: Objective Duration: 1 hour each Sr. No. Module Name Percentage of content 1. 11 Evaluation Details Components Marks to be obtained Internal Marks Test (Te) 50% + Assignments (A) 100% Sem-End / External Marks Online Exam 100% Project Marks Project Marks 100% Overall weighted final marks Internal 25% + External 40% + Project 35% Grade Based System The students are awarded grades based on the following criteria: Overall Weighted Marks > = 40% but, < 60% qualifies for Pass Overall Weighted Marks > = 60% but < 75 % qualifies for Credit and Overall Weighted Marks > = 75 % qualifies for Distinction. Note: To attain a Pass/Credit/Distinction grade, a student should achieve at least 40% in each of the elements of internal examination as well as final examination; otherwise, he/she will be declared as, Referred.
