3 Save or Print a Word Document in PDF Format 1. Open the required Word document. 2. Select the Acrobat tab from the file menu at the top of the page 3. Select Create PDF ; appropriately name and choose the location to save the document; select OK. The document will now appear in the chosen location as a PDF document If the Acrobat tab does not appear within the file menu, follow the following steps: 1. Open the required Word document. 2. Select the File tab in the file menu 3. Select Save as Adobe PDF or Print to Adobe PDF ; choose the appropriate location to store the new PDF document and name as indicated above Page 3

4 Merge Multiple PDF Documents to One File 1. Open required PDF document. 2. Select the Tools option from the (right) sidebar menu 3. Select the Pages drop down menu 4. Under Insert Pages subheading, choose Insert from File 5. A pop up window prompts the user to locate the desired document file. Locate the PDF you wish to insert info the document. Once found, select the document, and choose Open at the bottom of the window. 6. A second pop up window prompts the user to determine where to insert the new page. Select the desired location by using the drop down menu and page options; Choose OK The additional document can now be found within the original PDF document. Page 4

5 Add a Header of Footer to a PDF Document 1. Select the Tools option from the (right) sidebar menu 2. Select the Pages drop down menu 3. Under the Edit Page Design subheading, choose Header & Footer ; select Add Header & Footer 4. A pop up window with empty tables will appear; Based on the desired location of the Header or Footer, select the appropriate table; Enter the header or footer information and make any changes to font type, size and colour. 5. Select OK at the bottom of the window The additional information will now appear in the selected Header or Footer area. Page 5

6 Add Page Numbers by Editing a Header or Footer 1. Select the Tools option from the (right) sidebar menu 2. Select the Pages drop down menu 3. Under Edit Page Design subheading, choose Header & Footer ; select Update Header or Footer from the dropdown menu 4. A pop up window with empty tables will appear; Select the desired font size and colour; Select the table in which you wish the page number to appear by placing the cursor within the table; (Select the Right Footer Text table). Select the Insert Page Number button below. 5. Select OK from the bottom of both pop up windows. Page Numbers will now appear throughout the document. Page 6

7 Add Page Numbers After Cover Page 1. Select the Tools option from the (right) sidebar menu 2. Select the Pages drop down menu 3. Under Edit Page Design subheading, choose Header & Footer ; using the small dropdown arrow, select Update Header or Footer 4. A pop up window with the previously completed tables will appear; Select Page Range Options ; A second pop up window will appear; Using the Pages from: option, enter the start page as Page 2 5. Select OK from the bottom of the window. Page Numbers will now appear throughout the document, beginning after the cover page. Page 7

8 Deleting a Page from the PDF Document Please locate the page you wish to remove from the document. 1. Select the Tools option from the (right) sidebar menu 2. Select the Pages drop down menu 3. Under Manipulate Pages subheading, choose Delete 4. A pop up window will prompt the user to select the page(s)to be deleted; Fill in the tables with the page(s) numbers no longer required.. 5. Select OK from the bottom of the window; a second pop up window will require confirmation of the deletion. Select OK to approve. The requested page(s) will no longer exist in document. Page 8

9 Edit Text Within the PDF Document Please locate the specific text you wish to edit within document. 1. Select the Tools option from the (right) sidebar menu 2. Select the Content Editing drop down menu 3. Select Edit Text & Images ; Text boxes will now appear throughout the document surrounding each text entry. 4. Select Text/Text Box where changed are required; Make all content and font adjustments 5. Deselect the text box by clicking outside of the box; The content changes will now be reflected within the document. Page 9

10 Add a Digital Signature to a PDF Document 1. Select the Sign option from the (right) sidebar menu 2. Select the I Need To Sign drop down menu 3. Select Place Signature option; a pop up window will appear with multiple signature options. 4. Select Use An Image from the dropdown menu; Use the Browse button and locate the digital signature you wish to insert into the document. 5. Place and size signature appropriately. Signature image will now be shown within the document. Page 10
