3 DisplayWord Menu Features DisplayWord also known as DSI Word is the word processor used throughout the DisplaySoft software program. This word processor is used via an EDIT button and Modify Form button in the FLSSI Series forms program module, and creates documents in the Your Forms program module. The File menu saves and prints. FILE MENU The Home menu contains the common features necessary to fonts and paragraph formatting. HOME MENU Probate: DisplayWord Page 1 DisplaySoft 2018 Display Systems, Inc.
4 The Field Codes menu is designed to insert Field Codes and Stop Codes into documents. Click Get Field Codes for a selection. Double click a Field Code to insert. Click the Insert button for a prompt to fill in data. Click the Next button to locate prompts and fill in the blank. View code names or the data. 5 Use expanders in the code list for more codes. In this example, the form is required for each personal representative. Using Select All, Copy and Paste, another form is made from the first from. The 1 st Personal Representative Name, Signature and address codes are inserted into the first form while the 2 nd Personal Representative, name and signature codes are inserted into the 2 nd form. 6 The Insert Menu was used to make the caption and footer in this example. INSERT MENU In the example form, a three column table is inserted for the caption. Clicking into one square and pressing the tab key will insert more rows. A footer was inserted, and inside the footer another three-column table was inserted. The footer contains an auto-incrementing page number, the name of the form and a Field Code to represent the estate name or file number. Select two or more cells and the table menu will appear. The first two cells in the first row are merged. The last cell is empty. The last two cells in the column of the first and second row maintain the 3 recording space. 8 YOUR FORMS Introduction: Your Forms The Your Forms program module is designed to create a library of often used documents not provided by FLSSI. These documents may be letters to parties to the estate, county specific court orders and petitions, and more. Create your own documents directly inside Your Forms. If the document is already on your computer, Import the form into the software. Create a template document one time, a Master Document, and then use it For This File Only. The built-in word processor provides a Field Codes feature that allows the estate information to merge with your document. YOUR FORMS Probate: Your Forms Page 6 DisplaySoft 2018 Display Systems, Inc.
9 Master Document and Document For This File Only A Master Document is a template form stored inside the software, lacking any specific estate file s information. Master documents are created first, one time, stored in the software, and then used in any estate file when required. Master documents can be created directly into the software or imported. Forms are created by either importing a document or making one from within the software by typing one. The Probate Index is the only forms included in the software, used for locating document by its form name or by its FLSSI Bar Form number. This File Only is a copy of the Master Document, containing specific estate information and stored under the specific estate case file. 10 Your Forms Menu Features Click the Make New Form button to active the menu. Click this expander to retract (close) the Make New Form menu. Click this expander to expand and collapse document category lists. Click Import A Form and use either the drag and drop or browse method to import a document from your computer. The Make with DSI Word, button will open a blank page for creating a new document. A check mark in the box next to any form s title Puts Document on Output Menu to be printed along with other probate forms. Unselected documents will not appear. Double Click to Edit It : Double click a form title to edit the Master Document or This File Only document. YOUR FORMS MENU FEATURES Right mouse click on a form title to Delete (remove) the form from this software or Move the form to a different category. 11 Right click the title on the menu to Delete the document, or select Move to re-organize your forms on the menu. Probate: Your Forms Page 9 DisplaySoft 2018 Display Systems, Inc.
12 Create Forms A file must be open to access Your Forms. Click the Make New Form button to activate the creation menu. Decide to Import A Form from your computer or start fresh with Make With DSI Word. New categories are created during either process. DisplayWord s Field Codes and Stop Codes may be used to enhance document performance with merge capability. Import A Form Click the Import A Form button to retrieve a form from your computer. Use the drag and drop or browse method to bring a document into the software. To Drag and Drop open the folder that contains the document, click on the document name in the folder and hold your finger on the mouse. Move the mouse to Your Forms to drag it over, then let go of the mouse to drop it in the space provided. The Browse button will open a folder. Use that window to locate the document you wish to import. Either double click the mouse on the form title; or click the title and press the Open button; or drag and drop the title into the space provided. 14 The form title is added to the menu on the left. Double click the form title on the menu to activate the Master Document and This File Only features. Probate: Your Forms Page 12 DisplaySoft 2018 Display Systems, Inc.
15 Field Code and Stop Code Maximize the window for ease of use. Click Field Codes and then click Get Field Codes for a list. Click the mouse on the form where a code will be inserted. Remove underlines or any pre-existing data or information. Locate the code to be inserted from the list then double click the code title to insert a code in lieu of data. Use a Stop Code to insert a small blank line that can be located and filled in using the Find Stop code feature when filling in the document information for This File Only. 16 In this example, four Field Codes and one Stop Code have been inserted into the caption. The remaining blank lines may be substituted with Insert Stop Code and located using Next to find the next stop code and fill in the blank for This File Only. 17 Exit and Save Click the X in the upper right corner of the document window to exit and save the master template document. Probate: Your Forms Page 15 DisplaySoft 2018 Display Systems, Inc.
18 Make With DSI Word Click Make New Form, then Make With DSI Word to begin a new Master Document by typing the document to create a new form rather than importing one from your computer. Name the form and choose or create a category for the new document. Click OK to continue. Probate: Your Forms Page 16 DisplaySoft 2018 Display Systems, Inc.
19 Field Codes and Stop Codes Create a new document directly in the software by typing into the white space. Click Field Codes, Get List to merge the data and the form when used For This File Only. Begin typing a new document. Insert a Field Code from the list where applicable. The code list window can be moved for ease of use. Use Stop Code for a prompt when a code is not available. Begin by inserting tables or by typing words on this blank page Probate: Your Forms Page 17 DisplaySoft 2018 Display Systems, Inc.
20 Exit and Save This is a sample of a document created directly in the software. A table was inserted to maintain the Florida recording requirements. Stop codes and field codes were used in the caption. Formatting includes various font sizes, bold and underline to illustrate the common word processing functions available. 21 Once the Master Document is saved, continue to Edit Master further until the template is satisfactorily completed or switch to This File Only, Modify Form and fill in the blanks for use in this estate file. Probate: Your Forms Page 19 DisplaySoft 2018 Display Systems, Inc.
22 Edit Master A Master Document is either imported or created with DSI Word. Click Edit Master button to open the built in word processor, DSI Word (also known as DisplayWord ) used for making changes to the template one time that would benefit any case file. To edit a Master is to change the form s content and format when a regulation change occurs or to make corrections to the template document. Editing a document For This File Only will only change the document s content and format for one estate case file only. Any form that would benefit from retrieving information entered in the software could use Field Codes in the Master Document for merging when used in This File Only. 23 This File Only Click This File Only Modify Form button to enter information specific to the active file, and fill in the file specific information, if necessary. Any changes to the document format will not carry over to another case file. When the imported document is being used in an estate case, the Field Codes merge the data from Start. 24 Output: Your Forms Select the forms to be used in this file to place them on the Output menu. Probate: Your Forms Page 22 DisplaySoft 2018 Display Systems, Inc.

32 YOUR MEDIA Introduction: Your Media Store documents, audio and video received from the estate s contact persons and store media in one location under the estate file name or number. Store PDF, scans, photographs, and images as well as audio and video files under the estate s file name or number. Listen to audio files and watch video files from within the software. Review and print documents, scans and PDF files from the Output menu. YOUR MEDIA Probate: Your Media Page 30 DisplaySoft 2018 Display Systems, Inc.
33 Add Media Click the Add button next to any media type. A window will open. Select the file s document title to store the media inside the software. Add Your Media Probate: Your Media Page 31 DisplaySoft 2018 Display Systems, Inc.
34 Use the three lines to reference and describe the object, then click the Done button to complete the process. The number of objects stored in each category is indicated to the right of the media type on the menu. Probate: Your Media Page 32 DisplaySoft 2018 Display Systems, Inc.
