Find search for words with the following options: 1) Match case makes your search case sensitive so that if you search for sarasota, Sarasota will not be found; 2) Match whole word when searching for homeschool, homeschooling or homeschooled will not be found; 3) Match cyclical the search begins at cursor point, reaches the end of the document, then continues at the beginning. This option is selected by default. Replace search for a misspelled word and replace it with a correctly spelled word, for example. Select All highlights all text and graphics in the text editor Spell Check checks for spelling errors. Can enable SCAYT (Spell Check As You Type).

Underline could denote newly inserted text or hyperlink. y Strikethrough place a horizontal line through text (includes white space). Strikethrough usually denotes text recommended for deletion. u Subscript mathematical expression. Use subscript button to add. Press subscript button again to remove the formatting. i Superscript mathematical expression. Use superscript button to add. Press superscript button again to remove the formatting. o Remove Format restores selected text to its previous format. Stops at left margin. \ Increase Indent indents text at the current cursor in ½ inch increments. Text block continues to maintain the indented margin until decrease indent is selected. a Blocked Quote intended for longer (100+ word) quotes which are stand-alone paragraphs. Cannot be used to quote one sentence in a paragraph. When used, the quoted paragraph is indented with a gray vertical line and the text is italicized. s Left align text will align with the left margin d Center text will be centered between the left and right margins f Right align text will align with the right margin g Justify text will be stretched between the left and right margins h Set Language select the language you will be using to type your message j Link this button, or CTRL L, opens a dialog box with three options: 1) hyperlink a website address (URL); 2) Link to anchor in the text; or 3) . If you select this button at cursor point, the hyperlink web address or will show on your screen. If you wish to attach the link to an image or text, you must first select the image or text, then press the link button. k Unlink removes an existing link. l Anchor Table of Contents is a good use for an anchor. The Image Properties box also includes the following options: Alternative Text a short description of the image that tells users with assistive devices (like screen readers) what the image is about. Adding meaningful alternative text makes your images accessible to users with disabilities. Width the width of the image in pixels. By default this is the size of the original image. Height the height of the image in pixels. By default this is the size of the original image. Border the size of the solid border around the image in pixels. HSpace the horizontal spacing (or margin) between the image border (if present) or the image itself and other document elements that surround the image, in pixels. VSpace the vertical spacing (or margin) between the image border (if present) or the image itself and other document elements that surround the image, in pixels. Align the alignment of the image in the document. Available options are Right and Left. 36 Table Properties window: Rows the number of rows in the table (required). Columns the number of columns in the table (required). Width the width of the table in pixels or a percent value. Giving the width as a percent value lets you set the proportion of the editing area that the table will occupy. Height the height of the table in pixels. Headers the drop-down list that formats certain table cells as headers, which applies special formatting to them. You can apply header formatting to First Row, First Column or Both. Border size the thickness of the table border in pixels. Alignment the alignment of the table on the page. The following options are available: Left, Center and Right. Cell spacing the space between individual cells as well as cells and table borders, in pixels. Cell padding the space between the cell border and its contents, in pixels. Caption the label of the table. Caption is displayed on top of the table. Summary the summary of the table contents that is available for assistive devices like screen readers. It is a good practice to provide your tables with meaningful summary text in order to make it more accessible to users with disabilities. HSL-TM-TE v1 PAGE 4 of 7
