1 Labels and Smart Labels Two label types can be created in LiveText to organize documents Labels and Smart Labels. These label types offer two distinct methods of organizing LiveText documents. Labels require manually applying a Label to a document, whereas Smart Labels search documents that meet selected criteria and align the document to the Smart Label automatically. Creating Labels Create a Label to organize documents manually. Once the Label is created, it will be present under Labels in the Materials menu and in the Reviews area.. From MyDesk, click the Create button and choose Label. Click Create and choose Label 9
2 . Enter a Title and Description. Best Practice: Create a naming convention, i.e. course numbers or dates, which will allow easy identification of the contents accessible in a Label. 3. Click the Save button. Enter a Title and Description Click Save 3 0
3 Using Labels to Organize Documents This section describes the Apply, Remove and Move Label commands for documents in the Materials menu. Apply The Apply command applies a Label to a document.. Mark the checkbox(es) that correspond with the that a new Label will be applied to.. Click the Apply button and choose the desired Label. Tip: Apply multiple Labels to a document to make the document accessible in more than one Label. Click Apply and choose a Label Choose the 3
4 Remove The Remove command removes a Label from a document. Removing a Label from a document does not delete the document, but rather the document will no longer be accessible from that Label. All LiveText documents not labeled as Trash are accessible from the All Label. Documents cannot be removed from the All Label unless they are being moved into the Trash.. Mark the checkbox(es) that correspond with the that the Label will be removed from.. Click the Remove button. 6 Using Labels to Organize Reviews This section describes how to apply and remove Labels from documents received for review and sent for review. Note: Documents in the Reviews area that Labels have been applied to, will not be accessible from the Materials menu. My Reviews All documents received for review and sent for review appear in My Reviews until a Label is applied to the documents.
