The intent is to set up a flexible system which will allow documentation to be inserted as it is completed over the duration of the project. Technical memoranda for the project should be formatted as described and illustrated in this mock-up which provides information on the page layout, margins, headers, fonts, numbering systems, tables, bullets, graphics and footnotes. The three-ring binder, technical memorandum and graphics formats are especially helpful when the physical master plan for the campus is being completed by multiple consultants and sub-consultants. This system allows each consultant to independently produce technical memoranda and graphics while achieving a consistently formatted document when brought together with information from the project team. Following the technical memoranda/three-ring binder stage, an executive summary will be prepared which summarizes and cites findings from the technical memoranda. (See B-2 of this Reference Guide for more detail on formatting the executive summary. See Section C of this Reference Guide for more detail on formatting the final report s full-page tabular information. See Section E of this Reference Guide for more detail on formatting the final report s figures and graphic information.) 1 The term lead or leading refers to the space between lines.
