2 Social Rendering Templates for DDC- Overview This package demonstrates how the social rendering capabilities provided by portal 8001 and Portal 8.5 can be extended using the Digital Data (DDC) framework 1. More social data can be rendered on your page using WCM presentation components Additional lists (e.g. List of community members) New details views for individual items (e.g. Blog post details) 2. can contribute more social data using WCM generated user interfaces e.g. Comment on a blog post, create a new forum topic, can filter the contents of individual lists by entering a search term 4. Page editors can define lists that only show items authored by a specific user 2

3 Social Rendering Templates for DDC Scope & Support This package builds upon the Digital Data (DDC) runtime and corresponding social rendering profiles contained portal 8001 CF 11 and portal 85 The package can be used as-is on 85 as well as on 8001 CF 11 The templates are meant to be examples demonstrating how to extend social rendering using the DDC framework. While the DDC runtime and the social rendering profiles are fully supported, the samples contained in this package come without support. Customers can use the samples to understand the possibilities and to use it as a starting point for their own solutions You can download the package from the IBM Solutions Catalog 3

4 Social Rendering Templates for DDC Contents The templates consists of a single PAA that installs: Two WCM Web Content Libraries a design library and a library containing the ootb social rendering connectors A set of Web Content Viewer portlet clones for the sample connectors to make them show up in the page customization toolbar A set of ready-to-be-used index and details pages, that show the index to details view resolution when clicking individual items in social lists A set of page templates that you can use to build your own social rendering pages No custom Java code is required for running the templates 4

No custom Java code is required. 6
