4 December 11, 2017 Solved display problem with portrait pictures (too much height) by modifying maximum size setting in flexslider.css Added captions to several slides, changed appearance to show black text only on white background of slide by making caption background white in caption definition code in header December 8, 2017 Found some code to add a caption to an image, and put in header of any page that uses flexslider and provides captions Simple code to add a caption is provided immediately after call to picture in flexslider content Issue: Captions don t look great because of background color. Captions also do not appear for portrait images. Need to fiddle with image size options, caption options, and related stuff to see if images can be presented nicely with attractive captions December 7, 2017 Try to get Flexslider to work on mirror site to display photos of past meetings Issue: Will work with old jquery library, but not new one Solution: The code to open a window described on Flexslider website is no longer supported by jquery. Slight change to one line of code uses new window opening function call and works with new library Issue: Portrait slides are too big height causes image to drift over footer images, and forces user to scroll down Plan: Must be able to change some settings in flexslider.css to put limits on size of image containers. Will have to fiddle with settings, because there is not a lot of documentation! November 23, 2017 Have created html pages for main Akron pages (the ones linked to by buttons at top of any page) on bcp mirror site Have successfully linked mirror pages to mirrored css files Issue: Just need to go through each page and get links to other pages on site working by building new subpages Plan: Take this opportunity to hierarchically organize content files (images, documents) to make them easier to find November 20, 2017 Have received zipped file of all Akron content (images, some documents, css files); this content does not include html files which are apparently generated automatically from their content-manipulation system Issue: Missing html code for site pages

5 Plan: View source code of Akron pages, save locally, import into Dreamweaver, and edit November 15, 2017 Get access to Akron website editor and make minor edits Issue: even with access to website editing, I do not have permission or access to header or footer for editing Plan: Build a mirror web site on BCP to see what can be accomplished
