2 Faster optimisation with multiple core processors You can now optimise up to 8 times faster depending on the processor. For single jobs each material is optimised on a different core. Where a batch contains many jobs, each job will be optimised on a separate core to maximise performance. The progress column shows the status of each job, and the main progress bar more closely reflects the estimated overall optimisation time. 2

3 Navigation toolbar The V9 main menu screen is flexible and has some new navigation aids. A new navigation tool bar enables speedy access to all major functions and is available whatever part of the program you are in. Returning to the main menu is faster. Updated toolbars V9 has been updated with true colour toolbars for all applications so the toolbars are more intuitive and easier to use. 3

4 Review runs - Dashboard & Charts V9 offers a dashboard and charting feature to accompany the comprehensive reporting features. The dashboard offers key statistics of the job, backed up by pie charts, graphs and bar charts to highlight important results. The charts are configurable and each summary, e.g. pattern summary, board summary, can have up to three charts attached. 4

5 Access to cutting list editor within review runs Option to move from review runs to part list you can edit the cutting list from within review runs a simple text correction will be reflected immediately a change of critical data such as part size or quantity will trigger a recalculation or full optimisation. 5

6 Review runs - Calculated fields There is a facility to add your own columns to most of the summaries in review runs just define a formula for the required value, for example, a column showing the number of cuts in a pattern. You can choose the decimal separator (e.g.. or, ) used for values on reports. 6

7 Filter / group items in Review runs file tree You can find a required job much more easily by grouping jobs by week, or filtering on a keyword. 7

8 User profiles It is now easier to organise different users on a network. Each user has their own profile including password with the name of the relevant folders where shared files are located. 8

9 Direct Import and Export of XLS/XLSX format spreadsheets V9 makes it faster to import data from a spreadsheet. There is no need to export data from Excel to CSV format first; just define in V9 which columns contain the part details and then import from the XLS or XLSX file directly. 9

11 Board Library larger stock codes 50 characters The board library allows 50 character board codes. This enables stock codes (boards or offcuts) of up to 50 characters to be used in board lists, review runs and stock reports. The board library has also been extended to hold 50 character material codes and a new field for material density (Ton(1000Kg)/M3). Stock control There is a new option to record the history of each offcut and in the board library you can choose to display full sheets or offcuts only. When used in conjunction with the Bargstedt SQL database it is possible to automatically synchronise the board library at the instant an optimisation is triggered, thus ensuring that only available offcuts are used in the optimisation. When the job is transferred to the saw later, V9 will check the SQL database to ensure the offcuts are still available, and warn if they are not, so that a fresh optimisation is carried out. 11

12 Standardised file & item selection dialogs The selection dialogs (e.g. selecting a material code, or selecting a parameter file) have been improved and standardised throughout the software allowing the style of each dialog to be set as required. 12

13 Labelling single parts and individual patterns A new menu option has been added allowing you to reprint a selection of single labels for parts, (e.g. when a part has been remade), or you can reprint all the labels for the parts in a single pattern. Lite & Standard optimisers upgrade The Lite optimiser and Standard optimiser modules now include an additional algorithm for improved yield. Picture files for product and part library V9 allows jpg files to be used as product library and part library images the use of jpg files as an alternative to bitmap files saves disk space, and allows you to add photographs of your products more easily. 13

14 Other updates Backup single batch/ restore single batch it is now possible to make a backup of a single batch or restore a batch of runs together with supporting libraries The setup program has been updated to the latest version of InstallShield Access to online and weblinks in various areas of the program Minimum hardware and operating system requirements.
