1 Release Notes Stellar software v5.1 November, 2015 This new version of Stellar features direct output of EasyPack files, Detailed Material List and Job Shipping report changes, Stellar CSV file import, database backup upload in the Application Utility, and streamlining of the Inventory Replenishment "Add New Length" dialog. For more detailed information, refer to the help file included with the program. To access the help file, use the Help menu. A Note Regarding SQL Server Express When installing SQL Server Express, the system will install SQL Express 2008 R2 on Windows 7 systems that do not have.net 4.0 installed. On Win 7 systems with.net 4.0 or higher installed, Win 8\8.1, and Win 10, we will install SQL Express 2012 SP2. New Features Performance Improved performance of the Produce batch operation. EasyPack Files Are Now Written Directly from Stellar In the past, EasyPack sites used an external BVX converter application to create EasyPack saw (*.MWF) and EasyPack router (*.CSV) files from the BVX file generated by Stellar. In this new release, however, EasyPack.MWF and EasyPack.CSV equipment files are now written directly from Stellar, eliminating the need for the EasyPack converter. The settings for this new output may be found under Program Settings>Saw Line>Saw Settings. When the General Saw Settings>Saw Type is set to EasyPack, the application will use the respective EasyPack settings for reports, optimization, and output files. Select the EasyPack Settings branch and answer Yes or No in these settings to create an EasyPack Router Output file or an EasyPack printer Output file.

2 If you select Yes, then EasyPack Output files will be created--one file for each product in the batch. Router files will have a *.CSV file extension. The EasyPack printer file is the original Stellar-generated saw output file, with a *.BVX file extension. The BVX conversion converts square saw cut, round hole, oval hole, and rectangular hole operations. BVX files containing angle cuts or bevel cuts will convert those cuts to square cuts in the MWF, maintaining the long to long dimension of the piece(s), in the MWF file. BVX files containing round, oval, or rectangular hole operations (Contour in the BVX) will be converted using the logic that is included in the current utility, into the CSV file. BVX files containing special cut operations will convert those pieces to square cuts in the MWF, maintaining the long to long dimension of the piece(s), in the MWF file. The special cut operations will be removed from these pieces. Import Stellar *.CSV File Capability The *.CSV export file of material lists containing Weyerhaeuser products currently generated by the Sapphire software package may now be imported directly into Stellar. Previously this file could only be imported by Weyerhaeuser s BusinessLink software. The Sapphire CSV file may contain hole information. Holes may vary in size, placement, shape, and label, within the piece(s), for up to four holes per piece. With a Site selected in the Jobs window, press Alt+I, select Import Job from the File menu, or right+click on the Site and select Import Job from the context menu. The Import Design Drawing window displays, allowing you to browse to a Stellar/PanelMate (*.pmd) file, Material List Export (*.mlx) file, or a Stellar (*.csv) file. The Stellar CSV file will be validated during the import process for format. If a CSV file has been modified to include more than four holes in any single member, the software will import the first four holes, and notify you that only the first four holes in the respective member(s) will be imported, and the other holes will not be imported. You will be notified of any invalid product records, and that they will not be imported. Invalid product records can be written to a TXT file, and saved. Once the import process is complete the material list will be available with all of the features, functions, and reports that an imported *.PMD file or a manually input material list would have. Application Utility: New Functionality to Upload a Database Backup to an Online Repository Functionality has been added to the Application Utility that, with the click of a button, will: Uniquely name the backup file with the company name, city, date, and time BackUp the current database Compress (zip) the current backup Upload the compressed backup file to the Weyerhaeuser Azure repository site and notify you when it completes successfully Delete the *.BAK and *.ZIP when the upload to Azure completes trademark, of Weyerhaeuser NR Weyerhaeuser NR Company. 3 After launching the Application Utility select the Databases tab, and in the entry for the Stellar database you want to upload click the Maintenance button. The SQL Server Database Maintenance window displays. At the bottom of this window is a selection for Upload Database. Enter your Company, Location, and User Name, then click Start Upload. An active internet connection is required. The system will store your Company, Location, and User Name for future uploads. Changes to the Inventory Replenishment "Add New Length" Dialog In order to avoid confusion regarding the In Stock quantity field in Inventory Replenishment s Add New Length dialog, this dialog has been simplified and streamlined. The following items have been removed from the dialog: In Stock, Minimum Stocking Level, Maximum Stocking Level, Warn at Level, and Allocated. The Product description displays at the top of the dialog. A Location dropdown allows you to choose between Infeed (default) and Raw. An exclamation symbol displays by the Length field until a valid value is entered. Click the Add button to add the length. Changes to the Detailed Material List Report The Detailed Material List Report has been changed to make it more useful as a simple list of materials currently in the job. The report no longer displays "Original Unmodified Pieces", "Modified Pieces" and "Deleted Pieces." "Job:" is now "Job Name:" on the report. The primary sort for the materials is on Product Description, ascending, so products are grouped. A secondary sort is performed on Length, descending. 4 The Job Shipping Report now includes Shipped Waste The Job Shipping report has been modified to include any shipped waste as part of the report totals. If the user decides to use the Ship Offcuts or Ship Waste feature in the Cut Scenarios of the Cut Optimizer, the piece(s) in the committed scenario that are directly to the left of the Shipped Waste or Shipped Offcut now have their respective lengths increased by the Shipped Offcut or Shipped Waste footage in the detail section of the report. The batched Job Piece length(s) are changed to: Job Piece Length = (Job Piece Length + (Shipped Waste or Shipped Offcut Length)). These new lengths are reported in the Length column of the report, with the appropriate respective quantity in the Quantity column of the report. When a material is batched with a cutting location of jobsite, the inventory lengths pulled to ship to the jobsite will be reported rather than cut lengths as long as the cut pieces were not batched with cut pieces of the same material from another job. When cut pieces of the same material from multiple jobs are batched together with a batch cutting location of Jobsite, a note will display for these materials on this report referring the user to the Jobsite Cutting Report for the batch. Note: we do not recommend including in a single batch materials from multiple jobs with a cutting location of Jobsite. The modified report now includes a section named, Total Footage Shipped sub-totaled by Product, and then totaled for the Job (all products), to include the Shipped Waste or Shipped Offcut footages. Defects Fixed The following defects were fixed in version 5.1 of Stellar: Saving a job as a PMD file no longer creates an invalid format for importing back into Stellar when there are Notes that contain carriage returns. Notes are now exported as one continuous line without carriage returns. Stellar now recognizes if the Inventory Replenishment window is already open and brings it to the front when the user clicks on the Inventory Replenishment button. For each cut pattern on the Manual Cutting Report, Manual Cutting Report with Holes, Manual Cutting Report without Plot Labels, Jobsite Cutting Report and Jobsite Cutting Report without Plot Labels, the order of the cut pieces within a board now matches the order displayed in the Cut Pattern Editor dialog. This includes patterns which have been manually edited by the user. If a Stellar database upgrade fails for any reason, the upgrade now correctly rolls back and cancels out. Backordered items now correctly display on the Pending Items tab. Purchase Orders with all items in the order received now correctly display an Order Status of Complete (in some instances this was displaying erroneously as Confirmed ). trademark, of Weyerhaeuser NR Weyerhaeuser NR Company. 5 The Stellar 32-bit install no longer creates the Stellar.exe.config file in two different locations. Min, Max, and Warn inventory levels now zero out as expected both when deleting inventory or changing locations. On order is not affected by deleting lengths of a product. The Cut History Report (Length or Quantity) is now properly capturing PrePulls when the cutting location is Saw Line. An MLX created from Javelin in which the user manually modifies the material list will now import correctly. All line items in the valid format or with valid\recognized product id's are imported. The invalid ones are written to a text file. The correct JL# is now assigned to items in Multi-Job Batches on reports. Users are again able to add Special Order products to both upgraded and new databases. The Pick List for Non-Cuttables report now reports all of the Non-Cuttables that are part of the Job.
