2 1.Mechanical Dimension Note: You should access airflow according to the arrow or it will always read 0. The item have a communication cable whose length is 1 m with Mini USB plug.this cable can realize external power support and communication.

3 2.Product Selection and Flow Comparison The unit of max output is L/min,it is show in the LCD as SLPM.For example,200 represent the max flow is 200L/min.So to CO2,MF5706 can only choose 10 and 20, 25 can not be chosen. The maximum flow of MF5712 can choose 150, not 200. MF5712 can not be used for oxygen measurement. Model Diameter Mechanical interface L/min M 3 /h MF5706 6mm 1/ MF mm 1/ Flow Meter Menu Operation Instructions 3.1 Interface Description The interface includes: "flow", "total", "temperature" and "battery level" menu, and the setting process display.the overall layout is shown on the left picture.

4 Button: three buttons, the specific distribution of which is as follows: 3.2 Operation Instructions In different working conditions, the flow meter shows different contents, and the functions of the buttons are different. In accordance with the user's operating purposes, the following flow meter interface content and operation process is described in detail Flow Statistics After starting, the flow meter will automatically enter the measuring and testing interface. At this point, the flow meter is in user mode. The display contents of the interface are as follows: A. Temperature display shows the current ambient temperature, the unit is degree Celsius; B. Meter address display shows the current instrument communication protocol and address. When a number is displayed, the machine is in the multicomputer communication mode, and the number displayed is the address. When it is not shown, the machine is in the stand-alone mode, and there is no instrument address; C. Battery power level shows the residual power of the flow meter battery. When the battery power is shown to be empty, the battery should be replaced immediately. D. The total displays the cumulative total gas flows, the unit is m³

5 (standard conditions, LCD displays NCM); E. Flow shows the instantaneous flow of the current gas, and the unit is L/min (standard condition, LCD displays SLPM) The key function is: key: enter the password input interface Refer to "7.2.2 password authentication" and enter other function settings after you enter the password correctly Password Authentication When the flow meter is in the "Flow Statistics" function, press the key to enter the password verification interface. At this point, the user should enter the correct password to get into the device's settings menu. If the password is wrong, the flow meter will return to the "Flow Statistics" function mode, and the interface displays as follows: When you enter the password, the current input bit is in a blinking state. Press the or key to increase or decrease the value of the current input bit. When the settings are complete, press the FUN button and start typing the next number. After the completion of the five digit password input, the flow meter will enter or exit the settings menu according to the password. 6 change the password, please keep in mind Setting Menu When password verification is correct, the instrument will enter the settings interface. Instrument settings interface menu is as follows: at this point, press or key, you can choose up or down to perform the set operation, then the selected menu will continue flashing. Press the key to execute the selected settings Alarm Setting The alarm setting is the second item in the menu, which is used to set the total alarm limit. When the user's cumulative flow exceeds the total set alarm limit and continues to use, the meter will alarm. The alarm signal will blink for the entire screen. After the total amount exceeds the alarm limit, if the flow is zero, the alarm will be suspended; when the flow is not zero, the alarm will start again. When the administrator clears the total flow or resets the alarm limit, the alarm will be removed. The alarm settings interface is shown below: The total number shows the upper limit of the alarm. In the setting process, the current input bit will flicker continuously. Press the UP or DOWN key to increase or decrease the value of the current input bit. When the setting is complete,

7 press the FUN button to start typing the next digit. After the 8 bit digital input is complete, the instrument starts the internal parameter setting. Please do not press any button at this time. After about 3 seconds, the screen displays "DONE"". The meter will then automatically return to the menu selection Zero Clearing Zero clearing is to set the total to zero.after selecting this, the flow meter will appear "Setting..." interface, and please do not press any buttons at this time.after about 3 seconds, the screen displays "DONE". The meter will then automatically return to the menu selection.the interface is shown on the left Communication After selecting this item,the protocol selection interface first appears as the left picture. Among them, the character at the center of the screen is blinking, which represents the current communication protocol, stands for single machine communication, and b stands for multi machine ModBus communication protocol. Press or to switch options. After knowing how the current communication works, select the

8 corresponding communication protocol. In stand-alone mode, select, and then press the FUN button to set up, complete, and quit; multi machine mode, when the display A, press or to select to b, and then press FUN to enter address settings, and the settings interface is as follows: The three digit in the center of the screen shows the current meter address. You can modify this value to be a new address with an arbitrary range of 1 to 255. In the input process, the current input bits will blink continuously. Press the or key to increase or decrease the value of the current input bits.when you set the value of this bit, press the FUN key and start entering the next number. After the 3 bit digital input is complete, the instrument starts the internal parameter setting. Please do not press any button at this time. After about 3 seconds, the screen shows the settings are complete". The meter will then automatically return to the menu selection Password Settings Password setting is the first setting item in the settings menu. The password used to enter the menu settings (that is the password to be entered in the 2.2 password authentication). During the password input, the LCD display is as follows: At this point, the current input bit is blinking, and the

9 value of the current input bit can be increased or decreased by pressing the or key. When the settings are complete, press the FUN button and start entering the next number. When the five digit number of the password is entered, the meter will appear "Setting..." interface. At this point, please do not press any buttons. After about 3 seconds, the screen will display "Done". Then, it will automatically return to the menu selection interface Exit Choose Exit item and you will exit the setting menu and return to normal mode Zero calibration Due to various factors, the flow meter may have a zero drift. In this case, zero calibration is needed to ensure that the flow returns to zero without air flow. Zero calibration method is: after the flow meter enters the setting menu, press and for more than 2 seconds at the same time. Note: 1. Calibration operation must be carried out when the valve of the flow meter is completely closed; 2. To ensure that the calibration operation is successful, operations may be required 2-3 times.

Assemble The item should be assembled horizontally.the arrow shows the direction of media flowing.the link of input and output port should be correct,the link of input port should assemble high efficient filter.here is the step: 1)Take out the flow meter and check if it is right. 2)Link the channel and clear it. 3)Assemble the flow meter into the channel,and please notice those thing: 1In order to ensure the accuracy of the flow meter,please link the top of the flow meter at first step,the front straight pipe should larger than 10DN and rear straight pipe should less than 5DN. 2There should be no any thing penetrate to the pipe when assembling. 3When meet some special situation,the length of pipe should be longer.

12 4)When link to the cable line of electric source,please care about the electrode,ensuring the input DC voltage is in (6-15)VDC. 5)If you need to link it to signal line,please ensure that signal line is correctly link to user s interface. 6)When link to the electric power,please ensure that the LCD shows right. 7)Open valve of the pipe,the flow meter will start to calculate the quantity of gas. ATTENTION 1)Before assembling you should ensure that the pipe and the item is clear. 2)Please do not loose the fixed part of the item causally. 3)The item should avoid working in the place where has strong magnetic field interference and where is violent vibration 4)Please care about the item when using. 5)The media should be stable,open and close the valve should be keeping slow.

Baud rate:57600 bps (protocol A)/9600 bps(protocol B); Data bits:8bits Check digit: none Stop bit:1bit Flow control:none Protocol A Protocol A can only be used in stand-alone working mode protocols. The details of communication protocols are set as follows: Data communication protocols setting A)Send 0 9d to the meter by RS485(and get back signal 0 9d)
