PC NOT CONFIGURED BY TRANS LUX If the PC is not provided or configured by Trans Lux, then the display monitor must be set so that the main monitor is used for programming while the 2nd monitor is used by the TL Vision sign. STEP PC 1. Configure the PC display as follows: Right click on desktop Select Screen resolution Multiple displays: Select Duplicate these displays or Start Control Panel Appearance and Personalization Connect to an external display Multiple displays: Select Duplicate these displays 2. If the TL Vision displays correctly, then proceed to OVERVIEW on page If the TL Vision displays a black band at the top, then the Screen Configuration in EpicLCT Mars so that it set to equal to the video display setting of the PC. 1 OF 19

2 OVERVIEW EpicStudio has three (3) main methods of creating messages. Select from the following methods that best matches your TL Vision sign setup. It is easy to switch to any from each of the three program methods. The three program methods are: SIMPLE PLAYING TYPE PURPOSE STRUCTURE DISPLAY QUANTITY PROGRAM PROFESSIONAL PLAYING PROGRAM Simple player program There are many pages in simple player program, and they can be played on loops from top to bottom. The playlist contains many pages, and the windows can be added into each page. Instant message and emergency inserted playing are not supported in this program. The professional broadcast is edited according to segments. The segment in the program can be added into pages. Page Window Media Time Frame Pages Window Media A single TL Vision display. See SIMPLE PLAYER PROGRAM on page 3. Multiple TL Vision displays and each display contains messages independent of the other display. See PROFESSIONAL PLAYING PROGRAM on page 9. PRIORITY PLAYING PROGRAMS OF THE PAGE There are many pages in priority programs, and they should be set respectively about the play time and play frequency. Use the drop down menu to select the layout of the display, and then build a message with the following elements: logo, analog clock, and weather information. STEP EPICSTUDIO SIMPLE PLAYER PROGRAM 1. Add logo image, set it to original scale ratio: Select top of page layout. Click File icon. Select a logo image. Click Display ratio dropdown box. Select Original Scale. Click Save icon. In other words, play continuously. To set a schedule for the message page, proceed as follows: Slide partition to reveal Schedule. Click on Schedule link. To schedule a specific date to play the message: Date Specific Date checked Starting Date Select a date from the drop down calendar. Ending Date Select a date from drop down calendar. To not limit the message to play on a specific date: Specific date Unchecked 10.
