2 Page: Product Overview This software (HEM-HyperElectronicsMappers) for remote control is designed to be installed into a PC for use within a surveillance system. 3 Page: Installation System requirements It is recommended to install the HEM software using a PC that meets the following system requirements to avoid the occurrence of problems such as the slow pace of play or the software lock PC Compatible IBM PC / AT CPU Intel Pentium 4, 1.6 GHz or higher. OS MicroSoft Windows XP, Windows 2000 with SP4, Windows View. Monitor 1024 x 768 or higher. Memory (DRAM) 512MB or higher, minimum 1024MB recommended. Network interface Ethernet, 10/100 Base-T LAN, or other interfaces that can be connected to the Internet DirectX MicroSoft DirectX 9.0 or higher. Other Windows XP KB Package if Windows XP SP2 is installed. Before you run the HEM software on your PC to make sure that: 1. DirectX End-User Runtime 9.0 or higher must be installed properly on your PC. If not visit link to download the files for free. 2. Windows XP KB Package It has been successfully installed if the PC is

To better visualize the software on your PC you should use the Windows XP visual style. The software is installed in the default directory (Program Files / Hyper Electronics Mappers) or entered by the user in the directory. DEFAULT.hem This is the default map to use the HEM. Configuration Mode HEM To open the HEM program: First click the button " Start ". Once the menu appears hover your mouse on the word " "Programs. 6 Page: Right now HEM is in CONFIGURATION mode and expects the settings must be defined. Once the configuration is executed, you can switch in the RUN mode that we will see later on. 3.1 Device Configuration list (DVR) Each object in the HEM is linked to a remote DVR. This is why the first thing to do is to set the DVR list to which you can connect. The device name is used later for the configurations of all related devices.

7 Page: Type - Indicates what kind of device it is. Address - IP address or URL for the device. Control Port - The control port used by DVR. The default is 67. E 'can change the communication port in DVR settings. Data Port - The door to transmit data to the DVR. The default is 68. E 'can change the communication port in DVR settings. Username - The user name for LOGIN. It must be present in the password list in the DVR. There are different levels of user / password and each level has different tasks. Password - The password for the user name Auto Connection - This option allows you to automatically connect to the DVR when the HEM program is in RUN mode Connected - Quesa line is informational only and indicates if the DVR is currently connected to the HEM. 10 Page: Operations on files Once started HEM click File, then select New to create a new map, or You open to open an existing map. Standard ready Map There are some graphic factory that are stored in the DEFAULT directory in the program installation folder. Please do not delete files nor move them to another directory. The default file names are as follows: 1Win.hem, 4Win.hem, 9Win.hem, 16Win.hem, 25Win.hem, 36Win.hem, 49Win.hem, 64Win.hem They represent a DVR with screen division in windows. These maps are defined TOP LEVEL, as we shall see. Player.hem, PTZ.hem They represent respectively the DVR control panel and the control panel PTZ dome camera. These graphics are not TOP LEVEL and can be inserted in other maps.

11 Page: Operations on objects There are 6 types of objects that you can insert in the HEM maps: 1 - Camera 2 - Alarm 3 - Alarm output, 4 - DVR, 5 - Action (action), 6 - Link (link) The descriptions are as follows: Camera This object is linked to a camera connected to a DVR. In live play, if this item is not iconized, the camera video is displayed in a rectangular window, and the audio, if the camera is selected, it will be played on the PC. In each map you can enter a maximum of 32 objects "not iconized" refers to a single DVR. alarm Input This object is corresponding to the input of a DVR alarm. The icon indicates the status. alarm output This object corresponds to an output of a DVR alarm. The icon indicates the output status, and you can, in RUN mode, click on it to activate the exit at will. A device (DVR) This object corresponds to a DVR. This icon allows you to view by clicking it all cameras connected to the DVR in multivision. Action (action) With this option you can place an icon linked to a specific action. Eg. the movement of a speed dome camera, playback in DVR etc. The action will be executed when the icon is clicked. The complete list of available actions is described later. Link (link to another HEM map) With this object fits into a LINK map that points to another map (only the TOP LEVEL NOT type). Add an object

12 Page: In HEM program, click Object menu, and select Camera, alarm input, alarm output, device, Action, or Link, depending on the type of object you want to add. Once the desired item has been selected, click in the map and drag the mouse to create a rectangle the size desired. When you release the mouse you insert the object. Object Properties To select and highlight an object, click on the menu Object, then click " select object ". Now you can click on any object created earlier in the map to select it. Once an object is selected, you can click the right mouse button, then select Border to change the size and the color icon contour, or to select Properties to modify its properties. The voice mode Properties They are indicated below: Object type The object type. Top level This option is only available for graphical maps and not for internal objects. Only for the cameras it is also available the SEQ option which means that the icon does not display a single camera but cycle the DVR cameras. The scan mode can be programmed by pressing the button SEQ: SEQ Settings Yes can he setting up a succession of cameras and the residence time of each individual camera. You should select the 'camera ID and the time to stay, then click Append to add the camera to the list, or Insert to insert the above selected row in the list. the usual options are also available: - Modify to change the settings of the camera; - Delete to eliminate the camera. X The X coordinates of the object in the map. Y The Y coordinates of the object in the map. width The width of the object in the map. height The height of the object in the map. Video / Icon (Video, Icon, Video / Icon, Icon / Video). This option is only available for the cameras. To VIDEO it means viewing the video for that camera in the PLAY mode. For ICON means displaying an icon representing that camera in the map with an indication of motion alarm. To VIDEO / ICON and ICON / VIDEO means you can switch the display between VIDEO ICON or vice versa by simply clicking in PERFORMANCE mode the right mouse button and selecting or clearing the Iconize voice. there

14 Page: Icon at This option allows you to choose where you want to display the icon in the video image (top, right, bottom, left) Playback To activate the Playback or off. This option is used for the cameras to be able to switch from live to playback display in run mode. Action For ACTION buttons you can choose the combined object action. Toggle - not toggle For action buttons, Toggle means that the action occurs at the click of the mouse, regardless of the length of the click, while Non-Toggle means that the action occurs at the click of the mouse and runs out to his release. Image File Here you can choose which graphics to match the object. E 'can search for any image file in BMP or JPG format. If you do not select any object this option to enter the background image of the map. 16 Page: Options Click on Tools, then select Options, the dialog box Options You will appear on the screen. Auto Run In this folder you set it to run the program at startup. 18 Page: Alarm Notification The board Alarm Notification It is used to define how the HEM program can react to the occurrence of an alarm on a DVR. the alarm mode reported by the device in run mode. Action -> Device, Alarm Output - Here you can enable an output of a DVR following an alarm. Action -> Show Message, Buzzer - These two options allow you to show the warning message and / or activate the buzzer of the PC when the trip occurred. Action -> Interval - to define how long the BUZZER PC will remain active after the alarm. Security

20 Page: The system allows an unlimited number of user accounts. There are two levels of password for the system, Admin ( the highest) and Operator ( the shortest). The operator can only operate in the run mode and can not change configurations. To enable password protection of the program will check the voice Enable. In the following boxes you can set up different user name, password and access level (operator, administrator). Once these values click on Add to add the new user, click on Modify to change the voice that is highlighted, click on it Delete to delete the entry that is highlighted. If a user is going to tick Default Login the system will propose this user as a default startup. System The HEM program is multilingual and is set automatically according to the language of Windows. If the user wants to use a different language, different from that of Windows, you have to turn off the voice AUTO DETECTION, then select the desired language.

21 Page: Run mode HEM Once the program is configured to make it operational must switch to RUN mode. In execution mode, the program performs the actual link to remote DVR through the local network or internet. Before execution Before activating the execution mode check the following: 1. The DVRs are connected to the network and configurations of the IP addresses have been correctly performed. 2. DirectX End-User Runtime 9.0 or higher must be installed on the PC. Otherwise, please access the website to get free download. 3. Windows XP KB Package must be installed on your PC if this features of the operating system Windows XP SP2. The port 67 (control port) or port 68 (TCP / IP data communication port) must not be blocked by your ISP or Router. 5. Set the screen resolution of at least 1024x768 and 32-bit color. 6. Set the style of windows "Windows XP style" to get a better view of the HEM program. Activate the run mode First, open the map HEM that is configured. So the menu File to select Run. This option can be used only when using the preset map HEM DEFAULT.HEM. This map offers you access to max. 10 remote DVRs and clicking the right button to switch to full-screen view of a camera or viewing pictures. Playback, Recording, Audio in / out, Transmission The playing, recording, audio in / out and transmission are similar to those described in this manual in the video package. Only Playback / Freeze options affect all objects on the map. SEQ Mode / Cameras Activate the cyclical scanning of all the cameras for which it was programmed function SEQ. SEQ Mode / Maps Enable cycle the maps if programmed. GPS Display Function inactive Dispaly POS Function inactive Control Display It allows you to choose a map display options, namely whether to keep the original image size or fit the window and the screen. PTZ Menu The PTZ menu contains all the commands required to control any speed dome cameras, as reported in the manual of DVR Object Command

25 Page: In TIME mode you can work with objects on the map in the following ways Camera If the object is not iconized, the camera video will be shown in the rectangle, and the audio will be played, if enabled. If the camera is iconified icon will signal the presence of an alarm. If the camera is not iconified you can perform various operations on the video in question. In fact, clicking on the view with the right mouse button opens a dialog box with a set of operations that the user can set - Full screen - full screen camera - ID - the camera number - Playback - Bring the camera in Playback mode for searching recorded image - Freeze - Freeze the image - Print - Prints the frame - Snapshot - Save the frame fromato BMP Other options are inactive. If the camera is set to the video option / icon or icon / video you can switch between views with a double click. Alarm Input The input of an alarm condition, will be shown by a special icon. No possible commands. Alarm output The alarm condition of an output, will be shown by a special icon. The user can click on the icon for direct alarm output control. A device (DVR) It 's always Iconized and indicates a DVR. The user can click the icon to select it and move on to define the multi-image of the device's display window. Action It 's always Iconized. The user can click on it to activate the corresponding action. See action list in the appendix. Link (to another HEM map) If this link is related to a map TOP LEVEL you are always Iconized and the user can click the icon to switch to the new map. Note that if you open too many maps to the point of consuming too many PC resources, HEM automatically closes the least recently open maps. If this is not a map TOP LEVEL will never be iconized, but visible

26 Page: for user commands. Utilities TOOLS Connect In HEM program you can connect directly to a DVR programmed list without using maps. Click on Tools, then select the menu Device. To connect the program to the DVR just select the device to which you want to connect in the list, as shown below, then choose how many windows you want to display, and finally click OK to confirm. Disconnect To disconnect from the current device. Config Here you configure the DVR to connect as already spiagato. Audio In - toggle type, same as View-> Audio In, used to enable / mute the audio input (Mic. In & Line In) from the PC. If enabled, the audio input from the PC will be sent to the connected (DVR) device containing the focus object.. Audio Out - toggle type, same as View-> Audio Out, used to enable / mute the audio output from the camera for the focus window.. Audio Broadcast - toggle type, same as View-> Audio Broadcast, used to enable / disable audio broadcasting from the PC to all the connected DVRs.. Freeze - non-toggle type, same as View-> Freeze, used to freeze / unfreeze the video for all the cameras.. Mode - non-toggle type, same as View-> Playback, Used to change the mode, live or playback, for all the cameras.. SEQ - toggle type, same as View-> SEQ Mode / Cameras, Used to switch to / from the SEQ mode of the camera to objects with SEQ settings in the HEM map.. GPS Display - toggle type, same as Object-> GPS display, used to display the GPS information (if any) for the DVR for the focus room.. POS Display - toggle type, same as Object-> POS Display, used to display the POS information (if any) for the DVR for the focus room.. Snapshot - non-toggle type, same as Object-> Snapshot, used to snapshot the video for the focus room. Player buttons. Copy - non-toggle type, same as Player-> Copy, Copy button in Player Panel, used to call up Copy dialog.. Fast Backward - toggle type, same as Player-> Fast Backward, Fast Backward button in Player Panel.. Fast Forward - toggle type, same as Player-> Fast Forward, Fast Forward button in the Player Panel.. Pause - toggle type, same as Player-> Pause, Pause button in Player Panel.. Play - toggle type, same as Player-> Play, Play button in the Player Panel.. Play / Pause - toggle type, Play / Pause button in Player Panel.. Step Forward - toggle type, same as Player-> Single Step, Step Forward button in the Player Panel.. Stop - toggle type, same as Player-> Stop, Stop button in Player Panel. PTZ buttons - non-toggle type. PTZ Up / Down PTZ - room to tilt the focus up / down if it's a PTZ camera.. PTZ Left / Right PTZ - to pan the focus room left / right if it's a PTZ camera.

Zoom PTZ + / - - to zoom in / out the focus room if it's a PTZ camera.. Goto PTZ / Set Preset - same as PTZ-> Goto preset / preset Set, to goto / set the preset position of the focus room if it's a PTZ camera.. PTZ AutoPAN.Run / AutoPAN.Stop - same as PTZ-> Auto PAN> Run / Stop, to run / stop the auto-pan mode of the camera focus if it's a PTZ camera.. PTZ AutoPAN.Set Start Position / AutoPAN.Set End Position - same as PTZ-> Set Start / Set end, to Set the Start / End position of the auto-pan mode of the focus if it's a PTZ camera room.. PTZ SEQ.Run / SEQ.Stop - same as PTZ-> SEQ-> Run / Stop, to run / stop the SEQ focus mode of the camera if it's a PTZ camera. Dialog-Call buttons - non-toggle type. Device Config - same as Tools-> Device-> Config, used to call up the Device List dialog.. Software Upgrade - same as Tools-> Device-> Software Upgrade, used to call up Software Upgrade dialog.. PTZ Panel - same as View-> PTZ Panel, used to call up PTZ Panel (default as PTZ.hem).. Search By Event - same as Search-> Event, used to call up Search-by-event dialog.. Search By Time - same as Search-> Time, used to call up Search-by-time dialog.. Search PC Video - same as Search-> PC Video, used to call up search-pc-video dialog.. POS Search - same as Search-> POS, used to call up POS-Search dialog.. GPS Config - same as Object-> Config GPS, used to call up GPS Configuration dialog.. POS Config - same as Object-> POS Config, used to call up POS Configuration dialog.. Backup - same as Tools-> Backup, used to call up Backup dialog.
