5 Getting Started! 1 5 Getting Started! This is the Installation Guide for ISOSYSTEM modules designed to network and systems administrators and IT professionals. The Installation Guide for ISOSYSTEM modules requires a person who performs this task to have had previous experience in running Microsoft Windows Server operating systems, as well as experience in related databases. It is also a prerequisite for this person to have had experience and knowledge of configuring and administrating TCP/IP networks. PLEASE READ THIS USER GUIDE THOROUGHLY, EVEN THE COMMENTS!

11 Guidelines 4 11 Guidelines This Installation Guide has been designed for ISOSYSTEM solutions and describes setup details of each module. If any module is not part of your customized package, please skip those instructions and go to the next section. The chapters are in the proper order so users can follow required product installation steps. We recommend strict adherence to step execution, so that installation is successful. 13 Important Recommendations 5 13 Important Recommendations In order to achieve successful installation and optimum performance in ISOSYSTEM solution, there must be adherence to some important recommendations. BEFORE BEGINNING THE INSTALLATION PROCESS, PLEASE PAY ATTENTION AND VERIFY COMPLIANCE WITH THE FOLLOWING ITEMS: ü Opening Firewall Ports: The following is a list of the default ports for (WEB applications) 80, (SE Services) 5009, (ISOSYSTEM Server) 9000 and (Send s) 25. ü Security Software Blocking: Security tools such as: Antivirus, URL Scan, Firewall, and others, can block system sessions, links, and required files for running ISOSYSTEM. ü Proxy: ISOSYSTEM should not be accessed by way of a Proxy server. Images, charts, and reports will not be displayed correctly. ü Java: Make sure the Java JRE version installed in the server and workstations is 1.5 or higher. ü Send Verify sending rules. Antispam configurations can block or interfere in the process of sending To-do pending task notifications. ü Web Browser Security: Add the ISOSYSTEM access link to safe sites on the Security tab screen in Settings for Internet Explorer. If necessary define a (Low) security level setting. ü SQL Server 2000 Compatibility: If running WebServer Windows 2003 R2 at the server and Service Pack 2, check if Service Pack 4 for the SQL Server 2000 is installed. ü SQL Server 2005 Compatibility: For SQL Server 2005, check if the dll version is ntwdblib.dll for version Go to Start menu Ú Run the command line cliconfg. Check the DB-Library Options tab screen.

17 Creating Database 7 17 Creating Database This chapter introduces the necessary steps for creating and setting up database. Run just the one which will be utilized: Ú MS SQL Server 2000 Ú MS SQL Server 2005 Ú Firebird Ú Oracle Remember, that this document covers installations for SQL Server, Firebird, and Oracle databases. For explanations of other platforms get in touch with SoftExpert.

18 Installation Guide MS SQL Server 2000 This section explains the process of creating and setting up database for MS SQL Server 2000 database manager. Remember that this document is based on the fact that MS SQL Server 2000 DBMS is properly installed. Take a look at the following steps: 1. Go to the following Windows menu: Start Ú Programs Ú Microsoft SQL Server Ú Enterprise Manager. 2. On the screenshot viewed below, use the SQL Server Group folder on the data structure to select the machine where database will be created. After that, select the Database folder and click with the opposite mouse button and open the [New Database] option:

19 Creating Database Another screen will open in order to define database properties. On the General tab screen, input the database identification name: 4. After entering database name, click the [OK] button.

20 20 Installation Guide 5. The next step is to create a login to access database. To do this, go to the Security folder on the SQL Server Enterprise Manager screen; select the Logins option and click the opposite mouse button to open the [New Login] option:

21 Creating Database On the new screen, fill out the following fields: Name: The Login to be used for connecting to the database. SQL Server Authentication: Check this option and register a password for the user being created. Database: Select database name previously created, in this case, ISOSYSTEM. Language: Choose the default database language option.

22 22 Installation Guide 7. On the Server Roles tab screen, select the options: [System Administrators], [ Security Administrators], [Server Administrators] and [Setup Administrators] according to image below:

23 Creating Database On the Database Access tab screen, specify the databases that are accessed by this login. Use the first list of records to select ISOSYSTEM database: 9. In the [Database roles for 'ISOSYSTEM'] field, select the public and db_owner options. 10. Click the [OK] button to conclude the new login creation step. At this time, a new dialog box is displayed for confirming the password: 11. Click the [OK] button to confirm the password. The created database will be ready for usage. Now go to the section on Executing Setup.

24 Installation Guide MS SQL Server 2005 This section explains the process of creating and setting up database for MS SQL Server 2005 database manager. Remember that this document is based on the fact that the MS SQL Server 2005 DBMS is properly installed. Take a look at the following steps: 1. Go to the following Windows menu: Start Ú Programs Ú Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Ú SQL Server Management Studio Express CTP. 2. On the screenshot viewed below, use the SQL Server Group folder on the data structure to select the machine where database will be created. After that, select the Database folder and click with the opposite mouse button and open the [New Database] option:

25 Creating Database Another screen will open so that users can define database properties. On the General page screen, enter the database identification name: 4. After registering database name, click the [OK] button.

26 26 Installation Guide 5. The next step is to create a login to access database. To do this, go to the Security folder on the SQL Server Management Studio Express screen; select the Logins option and click the opposite mouse button to open the [New Login] option:

27 Creating Database On the new screen, fill out the following fields: Login name: The Login to be used for connecting to the database. Default language: Choose the default database language option.

29 Creating Database On the User Mapping page screen, specify the databases that are accessed by this login. Use the first list of records to select ISOSYSTEM database: 9. In the [Database roles membership for ISOSYSTEM] field, select the [ db_owner] and [public] options. 10. Click the [OK] button to conclude the new login creation step. At this time, the created database is ready for usage. Now go on to the section on Executing Setup. Check if the version of the dll ntwdblib.dll is Go to Start menu Ú Run the command line cliconfg. Check the DB-Library Options tab screen. If not, download dll in link and copy to folder C:\Windwos\system32 and restart IIS.

30 30 Installation Guide Enabled TCP/IP Connections 1. Go to the following Windows menu: Start Ú Programs Ú Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Ú Configuration Tools Ú SQL Server Configuration Manager. 2. On the SQL Server 2005 Network Configuration, select the [TCP/IP Protocol] option and click the opposite mouse button to open the [Properties] option: 3. On the Protocol tab screen, define option [Enabled] as Yes:

31 Creating Database On the IP Address tab screen, in IP1 and IP2, define option [Active] and [Enabled] as Yes and [TCP Port] as 1433: If there are other IP Addresses, consult the Database Administrator. 5. Restart SQL Server 2005 to conclude the configuration step.

32 Installation Guide Firebird This installation must follow the order listed below: Ú Firebird Ú IBProvider Ú Flamerobin All components needed for running the Firebird database can be found on the ISOSYSTEM installation media or requested from the SoftExpert technical support department.

33 Creating Database Installing Firebird 1. Run the Firebird Win32.exe installer (the run file number refers to its version, however there may be variations). 2. Choose the Firebird file installation location. It is recommended that it is installed in the default file location. 3. Choose the [Full installation of Super Server and development tools] option:

34 34 Installation Guide 4. Select the [Use the Guardian to control server?] option. For the following operating systems: Windows 2000 Server or Windows 2003 Server select the [Run as a service] option:

35 Creating Database Keep the [Start Firebird Service Now] option checked and then click [Finish] to conclude installation process: 6. At this moment, you need to carry out the step explained in the section on: Installing IBProvider.

36 36 Installation Guide Installing IBProvider 1. Run the eng_ibproviderfree.exe installer file. 2. Select the location where the IBProvider file will be installed. It is recommended that it is installed in the default location. 3. Select all the options and click the [Install] button: 4. Go to the section on Installing FlameRobin.

37 Creating Database Installing FlameRobin 1. Run the flamerobin setup.exe installer file (the executable file number refers to its version, however there may be variations). 2. Select the location where the FlameRobin files will be installed. It is recommended that it is installed in the default location. 3. Check only the [Launch FlameRobin] option and click the [Finish] button to conclude installation: 4. In the next step, the database will be created and registered for ISOSYSTEM. Click the [OK] button when the following alert screenshot is displayed: 5. Go to the section on Creating the Database.

38 38 Installation Guide Creating Database 1. Click the opposite mouse button and then, click Localhost. After doing that, select the [Create new database] option: 2. Fill out the data on the following screen: Display name: Input a name that will be displayed for the database. Database path: Click the button and select the location for creating the database. The database file must contain the file extension.fdb. We recommend using the name ISOSYSTEM.FDB.

39 Creating Database 39 Fill out the following data in the authentication fields: Username: sysdba Password: masterkey 3. Click on [Create] button to create and conclude the FlameRobin database creation process. The FlameRobin application process must be concluded in order to proceed with the installation process. Go to the section on: Executing Setup.

40 40 Installation Guide Backup/Restore Firebird Backup of the database with Firebird DBMS is accomplished through script. A daily backup will be created with the name isosystem followed by the day and extension.fbk (Example: isosystem29.fbk). The daily backup will be stored for 30 days, being replaced in the following month. The generated backup file can be recorded on backup media for additional security. 41 Creating Database Creating Backup Scripts 1. Create a directory named backup within C:\SoftExpert\ISOSystem. 2. Create a file named backup.bat within previously established directory and add the script below within the off C:\Progra~1\Firebird\Firebird_1_5\bin\gbak -B -V -user sysdba -pass masterkey localhost:c:\softexpert\isosystem\backup\isosystem.gdb C:\SoftExpert\ISOSystem\backup\ISOSYSTEM.fbk set dia=%date:~4,2% if NOT exist isosystem%dia%.fbk ( ren ISOSYSTEM.fbk isosystem%dia%.fbk )else( erase isosystem%dia%.fbk ren ISOSYSTEM.fbk isosystem%dia%.fbk ) "C:\Arquiv~1\Firebird\Firebird_1_5\" is the directory where you installed Firebird and "C:\SoftExpert" is the path to install ISOSYSTEM Server. 3. In the same directory, create a file named restore.bat and add the script below within the off C:\Progra~1\Firebird\Firebird_1_5\bin\gbak -R -V -user sysdba -pass masterkey C:\SoftExpert\ISOSystem\backup\ISOSYSTEM%1.fbk localhost:c:\softexpert\isosystem\backup\isosystem.gdb "C:\Arquiv~1\Firebird\Firebird_1_5\" is the directory where you installed Firebird and "C:\SoftExpert" is the path to install ISOSYSTEM Server.

42 42 Installation Guide Backup Scheduling 1. Access the Scheduled Tasks through the Control Panel. 2. Double click on add scheduled task, click the [Next] button. 3. Click on the browse to find the file C:\SoftExpert\ISOSystem\backup\backup.bat and click [Open] button: 4. Enter the name: Backup ISOSYSTEM and check the [Daily] option. Click the [Next] button:

43 Creating Database Set the time and date of the first execution, click the [Next] button: 6. Enter a username and password administration so that the script is executed properly:

45 Creating Database Restore 1. Stop all ISOSYSTEM services. 2. Open MS-DOS Prompt. 3. Access the folder C:\SoftExpert\ISOSystem\backup; "C:\SoftExpert" is the path to install ISOSYSTEM Server. 4. Run the command restore xx, in which xx is the day of the backup you want to restore; The day of the backup must be input for the proper functioning of the restore process. 5. Start all ISOSYSTEM services.

46 Installation Guide Information about Oracle This guide is based on the fact that the Oracle DBMS has been previously installed and configured. Then, let s go to the section on Executing Setup. For further information on Oracle, get in touch with SoftExpert technical support department.

48 48 8 Installation Guide Executing Setup In this section, we are going to introduce the necessary steps for installing ISOSYSTEM system. Take a look at the following instructions: 1. Run the setup.exe file found on the ISOSYSTEM installation CD. 2. Read the welcome screen instructions and then, click the [Next] button:

49 Executing Setup If Java Version is incompatible, install compatible Java Version and click the [Retry] button: 4. Select the new installation option and click the [Next] button. 5. Check the Custom installation type and click the [Next] button:

50 50 Installation Guide 6. Select the ISOSYSTEM modules to be installed. Remember that when installing the system for the first time, all modules must be checked. After that, click the [Next] button: Check the [Ignore dependencies] option just if instructed by SoftExpert technical support department. 7. On the next screen, select the path for copying the ISOSYSTEM module installation files. We recommend you keep the default Internet Information Service path: C:\Inetpub\ISOSYSTEMWeb, recommended by the installer. Click the [Next] button. 8. Now select the path for installing the execution files for ISOSYSTEM (services). Click the [Next] button.

51 Executing Setup On the next installation screen, check the option for [Other DBMS, setup manually]. Click the [Next] button to start installation: 10. If any installation.dll file is previously present, overwrite it by clicking on the [ Yes] button:

52 52 Installation Guide 11. If ISOSYSTEM Workflow is part of the installation package to be installed, it will be required to input the database connection parameters. Fill in the data based on the database that will be run: 12. After finishing the installation, click the [Finish] button: 13. Now, create objects in the database. Go to the section on Creating Database Objects.

54 54 9 Installation Guide Creating Database Objects To create objects, start the database maintenance utility, enabled at the following path: Start Ú Programs Ú SoftExpert Ú Server Ú DBWizard. A new screen will be viewed, select the following option: create database through wizard. Click on the [Next] button: The following steps vary according to the type of database in which the objects will be created. Take a look at the following sections: Ú SQLServer Ú Firebird Ú Oracle The option for updating databases is exclusively for updating the system. For further data, get in touch with the technical support department.

Click the button in the respective field to do this and make the necessary configurations according to the selected database: Ú For MS SQL Server: Data entry fields: Select or enter a server name: Select or input the database server name. Enter information to log on to the server: Check the [Use a specific user name and password] option and input the user (user name field) and password ( password field) for the connection to the database. Select the database on the server: Select ISOSYSTEM database. After providing the necessary information, click the [Test Connection] button and then click the [OK] button.

58 58 Installation Guide Ú For Firebird: Data entry fields: Enter the data source and/or location of the data: Input the path where database server is located. Enter information to log on to the server: Check the [Use a specific user name and password] option and input the user (user name field) and password ( password field) for the connection to the database. These fields must be filled out with the sysdba and masterkey, respectively. Check [Allow saving password] option. After providing the necessary information, click the [Test Connection] button and then the [OK] button.

59 Creating Database Objects After inputting the necessary configurations for the database connection, click the [Connect to Database] button and after that, click the [Next] button;

69 Creating Database Objects When the execution is finished, click the [Back] button until the module selection screenshot is displayed. In the [Select ISOSYSTEM] field, check the items on the list of modules and unselect the Administration and Generic modules:

Click the button in the respective field to configure the Oracle database: Data entry fields: Enter the data source and/or location of the data: Input the path where database server is located. Enter information to log on to the server: Check the [Use a specific user name and password] option and input the user (user name field) and password ( password field) for the connection to the database. Check the [Allow saving password] option. After providing the necessary information, click the [Test connection] button and then the [OK] button.

Select the database on de server: Select the ISOSYSTEM database. After providing the necessary information, click the [Test Connection] button and then click the [OK] button.

Enter information to log on to the server: Check the [Use a specific user name and password] option and input the user (user name) and password (password) for database connection. These fields must be filled out with the sysdba and masterkey, respectively. Check the [Allow saving password] option. After providing the necessary information, click the [Test Connection] button and then the [OK] button.

Enter information to log on to the server: Check the [Use a specific user name and password] option and input the user (user name field) and password ( password field) for the connection to the database. Check the [Allow saving password] option. After providing the necessary information, click the [Test Connection] button and then the [OK] button. Make sure Oracle Provider is correctly installed. It is not possible to use the Microsoft Provider for Oracle.

81 Configuring ISOSYSTEM Server 4. After configuring the connection, click the CFGISOSYSTEMServer application; 81 button to conclude and close the 5. Start the ISOSYSTEM service now. Go to the Start menu Ú Control Panel Ú Administrative Tools Ú Services or, instead of that, go to the Start menuú Execute and type the command: services.msc: Click OK to open the services screen 6. Click the opposite mouse button to start the ISOSystem - Server service:

82 82 Installation Guide 10.1 Configuring EVA EVA (Earned Value Analysis) is an alternative for evaluating projects and tasks performance, whereas deadlines and costs need to be controlled and integrated in the system. The focus is on real costs consumed and the physical results from the projects based on a specific amount of work during a defined period of time. Remember that the following steps must be executed, if ISOSYSTEM Project is one of the purchased modules in the package. 1. Start the SEServer configuration installer wizard (CFGISOSystemServer); it can be accessed at the Start menu Ú Programs Ú SoftExpert Ú Server Ú CFGISOSystemServer. 2. Go to Main Ú Services, and on the new screen:
