4 SFC-500 Series Laptop Configurator The configurator is a Windows based program designed to program the Summit Panels Models - SFC DR - SFC DR

6 Backup database makes a copy of the Master Database in the File folder specified in the User Preferences. The backup file will have a name of the form YYYY-MM-DD.mdb. The back up can be used by the Restore Database command to recover all of the jobs in the database. It can also use the Import command to recover selected jobs. Backup your Master Database often and store a copy of the resulting file on a CD or other media.

7 Restores the backup database to the active database directory for use or modification. Note: This will copy over existing database and return your database to the date the backup was made.

8 To ensure optimal performance, you should compact and repair your database on a regular basis. If you have purged job versions or deleted jobs, Compacting the Database will regain the space occupied by those records.

15 New Job This command will open the Create Job dialog which will allow you to start a new job. The new job can be based on a supplied template or on an existing job using the Copy current job data command. You MUST enter a description for new job as well as a Comment before proceeding

17 Open Job This command will open an existing job from your database.

18 Import Job Imports a selected job/version from an external database or serialized job archive and converts the job to the current version if necessary. Job Files can only be edited (changed) after importing it to the Database

19 Export Job Exports the current job in a archive formats: A single job database file compact, in a serialized archive format (.fx2job), this can be stored on a disk, jump drive or burned to a CD for archive and safe keeping. The Export Job command takes a copy of the specified job and archives it does not delete the database entry

20 New Version Make a copy of the current job, assigning it the next highest version number. The user is prompted for mandatory comments and may also override the Author field. The Job Name cannot be changed. The new version is un-locked for editing.

21 Delete Job Version This command permanently deletes the current Job / Job Version from the database. It is deleted not recoverable.

22 Version History Display the Version History (Date, Author, Comments) for the current job.
