The Radiant Management Console and Radiant Log View functions will be added to the program group you identify here. Click to start the installation of the Radiant Synchronization service. Offline Ticket Entry V2 14 Exercise Handbook: Exercise 3

15 This message appears if you are using SQL authentication in the CounterPoint connection string for the company, and you have neglected to enter and save the SQL user password. You are then requested to supply a SQL user ID and password. For V8.3.8, the user must have the db_creator server role. For V8.3.7, this user must have db_owner permission to modify the CounterPoint database, as well as have the db_creator server role. In class: sa appears because it was created as the SQL user of our database during Multi-Site deployment. Enter CounterPoint8 as the password. If cpsql initially displays (because it was the default used during Multi-Site deployment), this user has db_owner permission to the database but does not have the db_creator server role. In that case, you will either need to change the user ID and password to that of a SQL user with the appropriate permissions/ roles, or you will need to change the server role of the cpsql user before starting the Rad Sync installation. You are given the opportunity to go back to re-enter the SQL user ID and password before continuing. Offline Ticket Entry V2 15 Exercise Handbook: Exercise 3

16 When the RadSync service has completed installing, you can choose to provision the site server s database. You might choose to skip provisioning if your server would be burdened by running the provision at this time. You can choose to provision in the Management Console at a later time. In class: Select to Provision Site Controller. 7. Provision the Database for Offline Use At the end of the RadSync installation, if you enabled the Provision Site Controller check box, the Provision Database window appears. If necessary, change the Configuration File path to reflect your top-level CounterPoint directory. Identify your database name and the ID and password of a SQL user who has a db_creator or sys_admin server role. In class: The default Configuration File path and Top Level Directory should be accurate. Select the DemoHub database for the Company Alias. Enter sa as the SQL User and a password of CounterPoint8. Offline Ticket Entry V2 16 Exercise Handbook: Exercise 3

17 A progress bar appears as provisioning runs. Provisioning will take minutes, regardless of the database size. A message appears when the provision process finishes. In class: After provisioning has finished, open Windows Explorer and navigate to the CounterPoint \ Sync directory. If necessary, switch to a Details view and then click the Type column heading to sort the list by type.
