4 Using the Utilities Software This section describes how to: Use the software Load Utility to upload firmware updates to a dome camera or a USB control module Use the software to monitor and display SensorNet activity Use the software to control a dome camera. Important: Depending on the USB module you have installed, you must run either Install_0100.bat or Install_0220.bat as described below to load the proper SnetUsb.dll version. If you do not run the batch file, you will receive a runtime 53 error stating that the SnetUsb.dll file could not be found. Note: For more information on using the two USB module versions, refer to the Readme.txt file found in Appendix A: USB Control Module Readme File on page 11. Alternately, you can view the text of the Readme.txt file by clicking Start > All Programs > ADUtils8_20, and then clicking on the shortcut for the file. Compatibilities AD Utilities Version 8.20 has not been tested on an Intellex system nor is it supported for use on an Intellex system. When connecting a USB module to an Intellex system, the firmware must be Version 2 when the Intellex version is 4.3 Patch 5 or later. Intellex systems prior to Version 4.3 Patch 5 still require a USB module with Version 1 firmware. Running Batch Files To run one of the batch files, do the following: 1. Note: The time and date are also displayed. Also, a Get Info button provides version information for each utility, the USB module, and the SnetUsb.dll file. Depending on the USB module version, you will see one of the information screens shown below. Important: If there is a mismatch between the USB module version and the SnetUsb.dll file version, you may receive a warning message, and you will need to flash the USB module to match the SnetUsb.dll file version, or you must run the batch file that matches the installed USB module version to install the correct version of the SnetUsb.dll file.
