6 1 Network Config 1.1 Network Connection Thermal imaging speed dome and PC connection mainly has two ways, see Figure 1-1 and Figure 1-2. Figure 1-1 Figure 1-2 Before you access network camera via the Internet, you need to have its IP address. User can use quick config tool to search IP of the network camera. Please refer to Quick Configuration Tool manual. 1.2 Log in Open IE and input network camera address in the address bar. For example, if your camera IP is , then please input in IE address bar. The login interface is shown as below. See Figure

7 Please input your user name and password. Default factory username is admin and password is admin. Note: For security reasons, please modify your password after you first login. Figure 1-3 If it is your first time to login in, you may see the interface shown as in Figure 1-4. Figure 1-4 2

8 Click on Please click here to download and install the plug-in. The system pops up warning information to ask you whether run or save this plug-in. See Figure 1-5. Figure 1-5 You must either run or save the file to local and install it. Follow the following steps. Click on run, you will see Figure 1-6 and Figure

10 When plug-in installation completes, the installation page closes automatically. The web-end will refresh automatically, and then you can view video captured by the camera. See Figure 1-8. Figure 1-8 5

11 2 Live After you logged in, you can see the live monitor window. See Figure 2-1. Figure 2-1 There are six sections: Section 1: Encode setup bar Section 2: Window adjust bar Section 3: System menu Section 4: Window function option bar Section 5: PTZ control Section 6: Joystick 2.1 Encode Setup The encode setup interface is shown as in Figure

Parameter Main stream Sub (Extra) stream Protocol Function Streaming media protocol connection, under main stream config, monitor video or not. Generally for storage and monitor. Streaming media protocol connection, under sub stream config, monitor video or not. When network bandwidth is insufficient, it substitutes main stream for monitoring. You can select stream media protocol from the dropdown list. There are three options: TCP/UDP/Multicast 2.2 System Menu System menu is shown as in Figure 2-3. Please refer to chapter 2 Live, chapter 3 Playback, chapter 4 Report, chapter 5 Setup, chapter 6 Alarm, chapter 7 Logout, for detailed information. 2.3 Video Window Function Option The interface is shown as below. 13 2 Alarm output It shows if there is any alarm output, status description is as follows: Red: means there is alarm output. Grey: means alarm is over. Click on the button to force alarm to be on or off. 3 Zoom in When the video is in the original status, click it you can select any zone to zoom in. In the non-original status, you can drag the zoom-in zone in specified range. Right click mouse to restore previous status. Click it; you can use the middle button of the mouse to zoom in/out the video size. 4 Snapshot Click on the button to snapshot, save picture to path in Ch Triple snap Click it, system can snap at 1f/s. All images are saved to path in Ch Record Click it, system can record. All images are saved to path in Ch Audio output Turn on or off audio when you are monitoring. Note: Only supported by the device with audio. 8 Talk Click the button to turn on or off talk. 9 Help Click it to open help file. 2.4 Video Window Setup The interface is shown as in Figure 2-5. Figure Image Adjustment See Figure 2-6 for image adjustment. 8

14 Figure 2-6 Click this button to display/hide image control interface. Click it to open picture setup interface. This interface is on the top right pane. Please refer to the following sheet for detailed information. Parameter Video setup Reset Function It is to adjust monitor video brightness. It is to adjust monitor video contrastness. It is to adjust monitor video hue. It is to adjust monitor video saturation. Restore brightness, contrastness saturation and hue to system default setup. Note: All the operations here apply to WEB end only. Please go to Setup- >Camera->Conditions to adjust corresponding items Original Size Click this button to go to original size. It is to display the actual size of the video stream. It depends on the resolution of the bit stream Full Screen Click it to go to full-screen mode. Double click the mouse or click the Esc button to exit the full screen. 9

15 2.4.4 Width and Height Ratio Click it to restore original ratio or suitable window Fluency Adjustment There are three levels of fluency for you to select (real-time, normal, fluent). The default is normal Rules Info Click it to display intelligent rules on the preview page after enabled, it is on by default PTZ Click it to turn on or off PTZ interface. Click the left mouse button to display or hide PTZ control interface Real-time Report It is to open or close temperature record interface, it mainly records the temperature change of selected spot, line and area within designated time period starting from the current time. See Figure 2-7. Note: The function is only supported by some devices Ray Axis Correct It is to enable or disable ray axis correct. Note: The function is only supported by some devices. 10

16 Figure PTZ Setting PTZ Control Note: Users need to set PTZ protocol before using PTZ control, refer to Setup > PTZ > Protocol for more details. See Figure 2-8 for more details about PTZ control. 11

17 Figure 2-8 The PTZ direction buttons and speed button are displayed on the PTZ control. PTZ rotation: support 8 directions: up, down, left, right, upper left, upper right, lower left and lower right. Speed: It is mainly used to control speed, the bigger value is, and the faster speed will be Joystick See Figure 2-9 for more details about the joystick. Figure 2-9 The joystick function can be realized via dragging the button in the middle, which is to control the device rotation. 2.6 PTZ Function See Figure 2-10 for more details about the PTZ function. 12

18 Figure 2-10 Parameters Scan Preset Tour Pattern Assistant Go to Note Select Scan in the dropdown list, click setup to set the left limit and right limit of Scan and control the PTZ direction, click start to make PTZ Scan, default number is 1. Select preset in the dropdown list, enter the Preset value in the box, click add and the camera will set the current scene as the preset. Click to check the corresponding position of the preset which the camera turns to. Select Tour in the dropdown list, enter tour path value in the box and click add, it will add or delete the preset in the tour path. Click start to make the PTZ tour. Select Patten in the dropdown list, enter pattern path value in the box and click add and the start recording button, then it will stop recording after zoom, focus, iris or direction and a series of operations, setting pattern is successful. Click start to make the PTZ pattern. Enter the assistant value in the output box, click Aux on button to enable corresponding assistant function, click Aux off button to disable the corresponding assistant function. Enter the horizontal angle, vertical angle and zoom parameters which are needed, click Go to button to go to some spot. The horizontal angle and vertical angle parameter of each unit represents 0.1 degree. 13

Note: Before playback, user shall set storage management as in Ch Playback The playback interface is shown as in Figure 3-1. 20 3.1.1 Function of Play The function of play is shown as in Figure 3-2. Click on this button, switch to normal play status. Click this button to stop playing. Click on this button to go to next frame. Note: You shall pause record when you use this function. Click on this button to play slowly. Click on this button to play quickly. When this button displays, it means audio is silent. Click on this button to switch back to normal. Click on left mouse to adjust volume Playback File In calendar, blue date represents data currently has video record or snapshot. See Figure

21 Figure 3-3 Parameter File Type Data Source Function Select dav, as video playback. Select jpg as picture playback. Default is SD card. Step 1. Click on data in blue, time axis displays record file progress bar in color. While, green represents normal record, yellow represents motion detect record, red represents alarm record, and blue represents manual record. Step 2. Click on certain time on progress bar, playback starts from this time. See Figure 3-4. Figure 3-4 Step 3. Click on file list, select date file will be displayed in list. Step 4. Double click on file in list, playback this file and display file size, start time and end time. See Figure

22 Figure 3-5 Parameter Search Record Download Format Function It means records within searched start time and end time on the date. There are two formats: dav, mp4. 17

23 Parameter Download Back Function Record type is dav, click on download button to download file to local. Record type is mp4, click on download button and download file to path in Ch Note: System does not support download and playback of MP4 file. Click on back button to go to calendar interface Playback Cut Note: Playback cut function will automatically pause playing record as playback cut and playback cannot be at the same time. Step 1. Click on start time to cut on time axis. This time must be within progress bar range. Step 2. Move mouse to cut icon. You will be ask to select start time. Click on cur icon as finish cutting. Step 3. Click on playback cut end time on time axis. This time must be within progress bar range. Step 4. Move mouse to cut icon, you will be asked to select end time. Click on cut icon as finish cutting. Step 5. Click on Save button to save file cut to path in Ch See Figure 3-6. Figure Record Type Check record file type, only selected file will be displayed in progress bar and file list. See Figure 3-7. Figure Progress Bar 18

Figure 3-9 Parameter Zoom in Snapshot Function Click on it, video in playback status if is in original size, user can zoom in any area, If it is not in its original size, click on mouse to restore its original size. Click on this button, you can scroll to zoom in. Click on this button, you can snapshot video under playback status. The WEB client supports temperature data query of the spot, line and area set by users. Please refer to Rule Setup of the settings for spot, line and area. 31 5 Setup Web client setup support Camera, Network, PTZ, Event, Storage, System and Information. 5.1 Camera Conditions Here you can view device property information. Slight differences may be found due to different network camera series. The setups become valid immediately after you set. See Figure 5-1. Figure 5-1 Able to set indoor scene, outdoor scene, general scene, you can set and check the config and effect in the corresponding scene after selecting needed scene, please refer to the following sheet for the exact parameters. 26

32 Parameter Brightness Sharpness Gamma EZoom Function It is to adjust monitor window brightness. You can adjust this value if the video is too dark or too bright. The larger the number, the bright the video is. When you input the value here, the bright section and the dark section of the video will be adjusted accordingly. Please note the video may become hazy if the value is too high. The value ranges from 0 to 100. The recommended value ranges from 40 to 60. The default value is 50. The value here is to adjust the edge of the video. The larger the value is, the clear the edge is and vice versa. Please note there is noise if the value here is too high. The value ranges from 0 to 100. The recommended value ranges from 5 to 50. The default value is 10. This threshold value mainly changes image contrast according to the relative temperature of the scene. When the threshold value is > 0, it can increase the contrast of the part with higher temperature in the scene, and weaken the contrast of the part with lower temperature (such as sky and ocean). When threshold value is < 0, it can weaken the contrast of the part with higher temperature, and reserve more gray level gradients to increase the part with lower temperature in the scene. The value ranges from -8 to 8. The default value is 3. It can zoom in part of the area in the scene to get clear view. Smart Scene The temperature measurement information of the image can be well saved through smart scene function (for example, the gray scale gradient difference between two objects can represent the temperature difference between them). The image contrast will be weakened to some extent. The value ranges from 0~100, default is

33 Colorization Able to add color to the IR image, there are 4 colors to select: White Hot: In grayscale image, the place is brighter with higher temperature. Black Hot:In grayscale image, the place is brighter with lower temperature. Fusion: The color is concentrated on the range of purplered-yellow, the lower temperature is, the purpler it becomes, the higher the temperature is, the yellower it becomes. Rainbow: The color is concentrated on the range of bluegreen-red-yellow, the lower the temperature, the bluer it becomes, the higher the temperature, the yellower it becomes. Globow: The color is concentrated on the range of redyellow, the lower the temperature, the redder it becomes, the higher the temperature, the yellower it becomes. Ironbow1: The color is concentrated on the range of bluepurple-red-yellow, the lower the temperature, the bluer it becomes, the higher the temperature, the yellower it becomes. Ironbow2: The color distribution is similar to Ironbow1; the brightness is lower than Ironbow1. Sepia: The color is mainly brown; the place with higher temperature is brighter. Color1: The color is concentrated on the range of redyellow-green-blue, the lower the temperature, the purpler it becomes, the higher the temperature, the yellower it becomes. Color2: The color is concentrated on the range of blue-redyellow, the lower the temperature, the bluer it becomes, the higher the temperature, the yellower it becomes. IceFire: In color image, the object with high temperature shows red, the object with low temperature shows blue. Generally it is used as warning mode. Rain: The color is concentrated on the range of purpleblue-green-yellow, the lower the temperature, the purpler it becomes, the higher the temperature, the redder it becomes. Red Hot: The color is mainly wine red, the higher the temperature, the brighter it becomes. Green Hot: The color is mainly aquamarine, the higher the temperature, the brighter it becomes. The default is white hot. 28

34 ROI Type Able to select such modes as: central point 25%, central point 50%, central point 75%, self-define, full screen, bottom, middle and top. AGC It is to set the image auto gain; it is optional from 0 to 255. AGC Max Gain It is to set the image max gain; it is optional from 0 to 255. The bigger the value is, the bigger the image contrast becomes, but with bigger noise. AGC Plateau It is to set the image plateau AGC; it ranges from 0 to 255. Gain Mode Device Information There are three modes to select: low temperature, high temperature and auto, it is low temperature by default. Under auto mode, it can set the threshold of switching low temperature to high temperature, low temperature area percentage, threshold of switching high temperature to low temperature, high temperature area percentage. Low temperature mode, when the temperature exceeds threshold of switching low temperature to high temperature and the pixel point which exceeds threshold is bigger than low temperature area percentage, then it will auto switch to high temperature mode. High temperature mode, when the temperature is lower than threshold of high temperature switching to low temperature, and the pixel point which is lower than threshold is bigger than high temperature area percentage, then it will auto switch to low temperature mode. Setting rules: the temperature threshold of low temperature switching to high temperature needs to be higher than that of high temperature switching to low temperature, the sum of two area percentage need to be bigger than 100. Display device serial number, software version and firmware version. Click Restore to make the Camera Condition back to original state Video Video bit stream The video bit stream interface is shown as below. See Figure

Parameter Code-Stream Type Encode mode Function ACF means using different fps to record. There are two options: VBR and CBR. Please note, you can set video quality in VBR mode. There are four options: H.264B, H.264 (main profile standard, H.264H (high profile standard), and MJPG encode. H.264B: Baseline profile encode mode. The H.264, H.264H both are H264 bit stream. H.264 is the Main Profile encode and you need to enable the sub stream function in your camera and set the resolution as CIF. Then you can monitor via the Blackberry cell phone. MJPEG: In this encode mode, the video needs large bit stream to guarantee the video definition. You can use the max bit stream value in the recommended bit to get the better video output effect. 30

36 Parameter Resolution Function There are multiple resolutions. You can select from the dropdown list. For each resolution, the recommended bit stream value is different. Note: When video is under rotating status, you cannot set resolution higher than 1080P (excluding 1080P). Frame Rate Bit Rate Type Recommended Bit PAL: 1~25f/s,NTSC: 1~30f/s.. The frame rate may vary due to different resolutions. There are two options: VBR and CBR. Please note, you can set video quality in VBR mode. Under MJPEG mode, only CBR is available. Recommended bit rate value according to the resolution and frame rate you have set. Bit Rate In CBR, the bit rate here is the max value. In dynamic video, system needs to low frame rate or video quality to guarantee the value. The value is null in VBR mode. Please refer to recommend bit rate for the detailed information. I Frame Here you can set the P frame amount between two I frames. The value ranges from 1 to 150. Default value is 50. Recommended value is frame rate *2. Watermark Settings By calibrating watermark, to see if video is modified. Select Watermark function. Default watermark is Digital CCTV. Watermark character can only be number, letter, _, - within 128 characters Snapshot The snapshot interface is shown as in Figure

37 Figure 5-3 Please refer to the following sheet for detailed information. Parameter Snapshot type Image size Quality Function There are two modes: General (schedule) and Event (activation). General: to snapshot in the area set by the schedule. Event: to snapshot after triggering motion detect and local alarm, It is the same with the resolution of snapshot (main stream or sub stream). It is to set the image quality. There are six levels. Interval It is to set snapshot frequency. The value ranges from 1s to 7s Video Overlay The video overlay interface is shown as in Figure

Parameter Function Channel Title Check Enable to display channel title in the video monitoring window; check Disable no to display. You can use the mouse to drag the Channel Tile box to adjust the position of the channel title. Time Title Check Enable to display time title in the video monitoring window; check Disable no to display. You can use the mouse to drag the Time Tile box to adjust the position of the time title. OSD info Able to display Preset, Temperature, Coordinates, Location and etc. Check Enable button to display OSD info in the video monitoring window; check Disable button not to display. You can adjust the location by dragging corresponding OSD info box. Alignment mode includes left alignment and right alignment. Overlay You can enable this function to display overlay picture. Click on disable to turn it off. Click on Upload Picture to overlay local picture into monitoring window. You can drag the yellow box to move it. Note: You cannot enable OSD info and overlay at the same time. Refresh Set privacy mask, channel title, time title, OSD info, overlay and save the change. You can click on Refresh to see effect. 34

40 Path The storage path interface is shown as in Figure 5-8. Here you can set snap image saved path and the record storage path. The default monitor image path is C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\WebDownload\Snapshot. The default monitor record path is C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\WebDownload\LiveRecord. The default playback snapshot path is C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\WebDownload\PlaybackSnapshot. The default playback download path is C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\WebDownload\PlaybackRecord. The default playback cut path is: C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\WebDownload\VideoClips. The default heatmap storage path: C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\WebDownload\heatmap Note: Administrator is locally logged in PC account. Please click the Save button to save current setup. Figure Audio Please note some series devices do not support audio function Audio The audio interface is shown as below. See Figure

Parameter Sampling Frequency MIC Volume Audio enable Encode mode Function The sampling frequency includes two kinds of frequency which are 8K and 16K. It is to set MIC volume. Check Enable: the stream is A/V composite stream, otherwise it contains video only. Audio is available only when video function is enabled. The encode mode of the main stream and extra stream include G.711A and G.711Mu. The default is G.711A. 5.2 Network TCP/IP The TCP/IP interface is shown as in Figure It supports IPv4 and IPv6. IPv4 supports static IP and DHCP. IPv6 supports static IP only. When users manually modify IP address, WEB will automatically jump to the new IP address. 36

Ethernet Card Mode Mac Address IP Version IP Address Preferred DNS Please select the Ethernet port. Default is wired. Please note you can modify the default Ethernet card if there is more than one card.. Please note the device needs to reboot to activate the new setup once you modify the default setup. There are two modes: static mode and the DHCP mode. Select DHCP mode, it auto searches IP, and you cannot set IP/subnet mask/gateway. Select static mode, you must manually set IP/subnet mask/gateway. It is to display hose Mac address. It is to select IP version. IPV4 or IPV6. You can access the IP address of these two version. Please use the keyboard to input the corresponding number to modify the IP address and then set the corresponding subnet mask and the default gateway. DNS IP address. 37

43 Alternate DNS Enable ARP/Ping set device IP address service. Alternate DNS IP address. You can use ARP/Ping command to modify or set the device IP address if you know the device MAC address. Before the operation, please make sure the network camera and the PC in the same LAN. This function is on by default. You can refer to the steps listed below. Step 1: Get an IP address. Set the network camera and the PC in the same LAN. Step 2: Get the physical address from the label of the network camera. Step 3: Go to the Run interface and then input the following commands. arp s <IP Address> <MAC> ping l 480 t <IP Address> Such as:arp -s c ping -l 480 -t Step 4: Reboot the device. Step 5: You can see the setup is OK if you can see there are output information such as Reply from from the command output lines. Now you can close the command line. Step 6: Open the browse and then input addres>. Click the Enter button, you can access now Connection Connection The connection interface is shown as in Figure

45 RTSP port The default value is 554. Please leave blank if use default. User uses QuickTime or VLC can play the following formats. BlackBerry can play too. Real-time monitoring URL format, please require real-time RTSP media server, require channel no., bit stream type in URL. You may need username and password. User uses BlackBerry need to set encode mode to H.264B, resolution to CIF and turn off audio. URL format is: username/password/ip and port. The IP is device IP and the port default value is 554. You can leave it in blank if it is the default value. Follow standard RTP protocol and when encode mode is MJPEG, the max resolution only supports 2040*2040. HTTPs Enable HTTPs Port Check HTTPs enable, login as Protect data. Default port is It is disabled by default. HTTPs communication port, range is 1025~65534, default is 443. Note: 0~1024, 37780~37880, 1900, 3800, 5000, 5050, 9999, 37776, 39999, are all special ports. User cannot modify them. Avoid using default port value of other ports ONVIF ONVIF(Open Network Video Interface Forum),this standard describes network video mode, interface, data type and data interaction mode. ONVIF Standard s aim is to achieve a network video frame agreement and makes the network video products (including video front-end, video equipment, etc.) from different manufacturers completely compatible. ONVIF function default is closed. 40

46 Figure PPPoE The PPPoE interface is shown as in Figure Input the PPPoE user name and password you get from the IPS (internet service provider) and enable PPPoE function. Please save current setup and then reboot the device to get the setup activated. Device connects to the internet via PPPoE after reboot. You can get the IP address in the WAN from the IP address column. When PPPoE is on, please disable UPnP to avoid influence on dial-up. When you Check PPPoE enable, please disable UPnP. You can set the corresponding group and then set the rights for the respective user in the specified groups. User management adopts group/user modes. The user name and the group name shall be unique. One user shall be included in only one group. Currently logged in user cannot change his/her own right Username In this interface you can enable anonymity login, add/remove user and modify user name. You can click logout to end your session. Add user: It is to add a name to group and set the user rights. See Figure There are four default users: admin/888888/ and hidden user default. Except user 6666, other users have administrator right. The user can only have the monitor rights, Hidden user default is for system interior use only and cannot be deleted. When there is no login user, hidden user default automatically login. You can set some rights such as monitor for this user so that you can view some channel view without login. Here you can input the user name and password and then select one group for current user. Please note the user rights shall not exceed the group right setup. For convenient setup, please make sure the general user has the lower rights setup than the admin. 101
