61 Assembly Constructions Assembly Constructions is a practice where Solid Edge parts / assemblies can be used in other assemblies as construction but not actually intended to be part of BOM Example User is modeling a housing assembly for a combustible engine i.e. 1 assembly needs to fit another assembly that is not a subassembly Assembly Constructions modeling would include the engine (or simplified version) in the assembly for the housing Page 62

66 Assembly Constructions Re-cap, this functionality allows you to use something in a Solid Edge assembly, yet exclude it from a BOM in Tc If an Item is not in the Tc BOM then it will not view in PSE If an object is in Solid Edge and you are using Solid Edge Item Number / Find Number synchronization, then your Find Numbers may not work as expected This is because Tc BOM is not aware of an occurrence that Solid Edge needs to manage Page 67
