Disconnect the batteries if it is not to be connected to an on PC for more than 3 days data logging will stop. The Recording and Alarm batteries are recharged from the USB connection to the PC. Change the PC settings in Control Panel/System and Security/Power Options and Edit Power Settings to prevent the PC going into Power Saving mode. While the PC has mains electric power and the MULTiLOG2 is connected by the USB cable, the batteries will be recharged and the LED on the front panel will be red.. The Recording Battery (left hand battery) on full charge will record data for at least 72 hours without the PC being powered. The MULTiLOG2 gets the local time from the PC at each restart and all event time and date stamps on reports are based on this time so that it is IMPORTANT that the PC has the correct local time. The software is for the MS Windows 7 operating system but will work on earlier versions after Windows XP. The MULTiLOG2 software cannot be used with any previous MULTiLOG or MULTiLOG software. Quick Installation Guides Guides to installing the MULTiLOG2 unit, sensors and software are available in 6 languages. There is a choice of English, Chinese, French, Portuguese, Spanish and Russian. A paper copy is sent with each unit or can be downloaded from For further help visit or info@remonsys.com

What else comes with the MULTiLOG2? The MULTiLOG2 control box is supplied with Temperature &/or Digital sensors as ordered 2 rechargeable batteries rectangular packs 4.8V 2500mAH NiMH Futaba connector replacements must be of this type Installation media on USB flash memory: MULTiLOG2 Installer (installs MULTiLOG2 application software) CDM X.XX (may be needed at installation) 4 4mm x 17mm lid fixing screws Sample exported recorded data 2mm flat head screwdriver + sensor insertion tube Tube of silicon sealant for sealing grommets Sensor location plan and wall fixing template Required but not supplied: What s on the Front Panel? MULTiLOG2 User Manual (English) MULTiLOG2 data sheet Quick Installation Guide in appropriate language A SIM card to be installed in the MULTiLOG2 Function: In general use, a press will silence the alarm sounder and display the first sensor in alarm. Warning: The two batteries are charged by power supplied through the USB cable DO NOT DISCONNECT USB cable from the PC and leave the PC powered.. Alarm status 0 = within user specification 1 = outside user specification + alarm sounding 2 = as above and SMS message sent or = in delay before high or low alarm LED not lit = batteries not charging LED normally red when USB connected and PC is on. Fig 1 Front Panel Understanding the LCD display and LED status on the MULTiLOG2 The LCD display on the MULTiLOG2 scrolls through all 24 sensors showing the temperature (or OPEN/SHUT for digital sensors, NC for no sensor connected) and, on the right hand side of the display, the alarm state will normally show 0 to indicate OK (no sensors in alarm). When a sensor is in alarm but within the delay period, the LCD will show a or depending on whether the temperature is high or low. When a sensor is still in alarm after the delay period, the status will show as 1 (audible alarm sounding) or 2 (SMS message also sent) If a sensor is in an alarm state, the red LED will flash twice per second. Pressing the blue button will silence the sounder. If more than one press of the blue button is required to silence the alarm, it means that more than one sensor is in alarm. Once an alarm has been acknowledged it will not sound again unless/until the sensor returns to within limits and then moves outside limits again. The LED normally shows red when power is being supplied from the PC through the USB cable, which means the batteries are charging. When it is not red there is no power from the PC, but the MULTiLOG2 is still recording and the LED will still flash and turn on the sounder if there is an alarm. During a download (automatic or manual) the MULTiLOG2 s LCD displays SENDING and counts down from 1000 to 0. During this time the PC software still displays data but menus and buttons will be disabled. When the download has finished (usually <30 seconds) the software can be used again. Page 2 of 16

What s inside the MULTiLOG2? Recording battery Alarm battery GSM modem (for SIM card) Sensor cables connectors USB cable 100dB alarm, 1 pulse/sec Fig. 2 Grey rubber grommets (sensors go through here) Each grommet may hold up to 8 sensor cables. A USB cable, external alarm cable and external autodialler cable may also share the same grommet. Temperature sensors are supplied as 20m lengths but can be sited up to 200m from the MULTiLOG2 by using extension cables. Any of the 24 sensors can be configured as a Digital sensor (Fig 3) see next page for fitting instructions Installing Sensor Cables Install the sensor cables FIRST before fixing the MULTiLOG2 to the wall adjacent to the PC (within reach of a USB port). 1. Fix the first sensor (black end) in the location to be monitored, trail the sensor lead back to the room where the PC and MULTiLOG2 control box will be fitted to the wall. 2. Label it as number 1 at the bare wire end and record its position on the Sensor Location Plan. 3. Repeat for other sensors 4. Use the Wall Fixing Template to drill holes on the wall to which the MULTiLOG2 will be fixed. 5. Put the MULTiLOG2 box on a table and the open lid. Remove the bag of green connectors and screws. 6. Use the screwdriver to make a hole in the first grey grommet Fig Place the Insertion Sleeve through the grommet and slide the 1st sensors through the sleeve. Remove sleeve. Repeat for 2nd sensor. 8. Insert inner (copper) wire 1 into green connector position Insert the pair of steel outer wires from sensors 1 and 2 into connector position Insert inner (copper) wire 2 into connector position 3. (Fig 3) 11. Repeat steps 8-11 for next two sensors in positions 4,5,6 of the connector 12. CAREFULLY plug the green connector onto the circuit board (fig 4) 13. Repeat with remaining pairs of sensors (up to 24 in 6 green connectors) 14. Seal the grey rubber grommets with the silicon rubber sealant provided. Sealing the Grey Rubber Grommets A tube of silicon rubber sealant is included in the installation kit so that after the sensor cables have been installed the sealant can be used to seal the grey cable grommets. This is IMPORTANT to reduce the risk of insects, dust or dampness damaging the electronics. DO NOT seal the small hole in the front panel which is where the alarm sound is emitted. Fig. 4 Page 3 of 16

Fitting Digital Sensors Page 4 of 16 A digital sensor (Fig 5) may be used to sense if a normally closed (NC) Fig 5 door is open. The gap between the two components must not be greater than 30mm. Use 2-part speaker cable 14/0.20MM, or similar, of the required length to connect the sensor to MULTiLOG2. 1. Fix one of the cable pair to the NC connector on the digital switch and to a numbered sensor connector on the MULTiLOG2 2. Fix the second cable to the adjacent screen connector on the MULTiLOG2 and to the COM (common) on the door switch (illustrated). To use a digital sensor to monitor an electric motor ensure the connections are to a VOLT FREE contact on the motor. It must have no power to it or it may seriously damage the MULTiLOG2. The LCD display and PC software will show OPEN/SHUT at the same update frequency as for temperature sensors. If a door is open for longer than 5 mins the alarm will sound. Fitting Sensor Extension Cables Sensors cables can be extended for up to 200m without affecting the precision of recording but it is important to use the same specification of cable (RG174 A/U). 1. Prepare both cut ends of the sensor extension cable by removing 2cm of the outer cover to expose the multi-wire outer (steel) screen. 2. Twist screen wires together. (See Fig 6). 3. Connect inner and screen for the extension cable and for the sensor cable to the junction box (see Fig 7). The other end of the extension cable connects to the MULTiLOG2. Preparing the MULTiLOG2 for use 1. Fit a SIM card into the holder on the circuit board. (purchase locally with a cell phone contract) 2. Attach the 2 battery connectors. (Fig 8) 3. Install the sensors and connect to the ciruit board. 4. Fix the MULTiLOG2 to the wall using suitable plugs for the screws to grip. 5. Use the 4 lid-fixing screws to fasten down the lid to the base of the MULTiLOG2 Extension Inner Sensor Inner Fig 7 Extension Screen Sensor Screen 6. Connect the USB connector from the MULTiLOG2 to the PC and switch on the PC. IMPORTANT: The USB cable should ALWAYS remain connected to the PC so that the recording and alarm batteries are recharged and so that automatic downloading of data to the PC can take place. 7. The red light on the MULTiLOG2 lights to indicate that power is being supplied to the batteries. If the LED on the MULTiLOG2 lights up (red) the MULTiLOG2 will wake up and start recording. If the red light does NOT light up, the batteries need re-charging. Leave the MULTiLOG2 connected to the PC with its power on. The red LED will light up when there is sufficient battery power. If the red LED still doesn t light up after being connected to the PC for some time, it could be that the logging battery is fully discharged (very rare). Check this by opening the box and look for a red light through the hole in the base board. No light means the logging battery is fully discharged. Try swapping the 2 batteries around. If the red light then re-appears, leave the PC on with the MULTiLOG2 connected for several hours to recharge the batteries. If it still doesn t log, the batteries must be replaced. (contact Remonsys for replacements) Fig 8 Fig 6

Installing the MULTiLOG2 software on the PC NB Complete sections Installing Sensor Cables and Preparing the MULTiLOG2 for use BEFORE installing the PC software. A USB to Serial software driver (on the installation media) MAY be required on earlier PCs and if the USB connection to the PC is not found then install the driver software (CDM X.XX WHQL Certified) before connecting the MULTiLOG2. 1. Insert the MULTiLOG2 software media to a USB slot. 2. Ensure that the PC has the correct local time as this time will be used to record the start of recording and for all event timings. 3. If the software does not automatically install itself then use Windows Explorer to run the SETUP program which will guide you through the MULTiLOG2 setup process. 4. The installation process will create a desktop shortcut to run the application. Running the MULTiLOG2 software for the first time 1. Run the MULTiLOG2 PC software from the Desktop icon. 2. The first of 3 configuration screens will be displayed 2.1. Settings screen 1 checks communication with the MULTiLOG2. When found the serial number of the MULTiLOG2 will appear beside one of the COM ports. If every COM port shows COMM FAIL then make sure that the MULTiLOG2 is connected to the PC via the USB cable and click Try again. If there is still no Serial number found then it may be that the batteries have insufficient charge so wait a while and try again (see FAQ - Batteries). When a serial number is displayed, click Next Screen 2 displays settings for data recording, download and storage and for SMS messaging. This screenshot shows the default settings at installation. Page 5 of 16

The key default configuration settings are. Recording Interval: 60min. AutoDownload Interval: Weekly Sensors 1-24, Temperature: TMIN 2 C, Delay 15min, TMAX 8 C, Delay: 15min SMS Times: Mon-Fri: On 17:00 Off 08:00 (outside working hours), Sat & Sun: On 00:01 Off 00:00 (24 hour operation) Settings can be changed in Configure/Change Settings after the MULTiLOG2 software has been installed. After initial setup, this operation is password protected. See 2.4 on setting up a password. The screen display text may be changed to other languages by choosing Configure/Change Language. The clock inside the MULTiLOG2 must be set to local time from the PC using Update MULTiLOG date from PC. (see below). Enter or change any of the following, then click Next The Recording Interval the frequency that readings will be logged by the MULTiLOG2 whether the PC program is running or not. The default and recommended value is 15 minutes. Other options are 1, 15 or 60 minutes. (see Table 1 below). The 1 minute option is not recommended except for calibration since it generates so much data and requires frequent dowloading Run Instant Monitor at Start-up if ticked, Instant Monitor will run as soon as the MULTiLOG program opens (default setting = ticked). It updates at the same interval as the shortest delay time in use (see 2.3 of set-up) Site Name - the location of the site where the MULTiLOG2 is installed. The Site Name will appear on all printed reports Auto-download to the PC will occur at the interval chosen here eg every 12 hours, daily, weekly, monthly. Default and recommended value = Weekly. In the event of no power to the PC, download will happen as soon as the power is restored if this is after the scheduled auto-download time. The every 12 hours option MUST be used if a recording interval of 1 minute is chosen to avoid data loss. A warning will be given if a combination resulting in potential loss of data has been selected Temperature units Celsius or Fahrenheit. Temperatures will always be displayed in the units chosen here (Celsius by default) SMS Message. Enter the required message (max 20 characters) that will be sent in alarm conditions (see 2.2.9) Data storage - where temperature data files will be saved on the PC. You are advised to use the default folder for data files. Changing the location will mean you can no longer access file stored before the change Update MULTiLOG date from PC. Click here to synchronise the MULTiLOG2 date and time with your PC. NB check that the local time on your PC is correct first! 7 GSM modem times. Tick Use GSM modem if you wish to send SMS messages to indicate alarm conditions (after the delay time set up see 2.3). To suspend SMS messaging, remove the tick (other settings stay in place for future use). NB: A suitable SIM card must be installed in the MULTiLOG2 see below Enter up to 3 telephone numbers to which the SMS message may be sent. Enter the times when SMS messaging operates. The Off time each day is when alarm messages will NOT be sent. The On time, when alarm messages WILL be sent, is normally at the end of the working day and continues until the Off time of the following morning. Suggested settings for SMS messaging to operate are from17:00 to 09:00 each weekday night (On=17:00, Off = 09:00) and all day on Saturday and Sunday (On=00.01, Off=00.00). Check the time settings carefully. Note On time must not be the same as the Off time. The user s message (entered in 3.2.6) will appear in this format: MULTiLOG <- -message--> HIGH ALARM Sensor 05, Mar 2014, 11.9 C On-board GSM modem for SMS alarms The on-board GSM modem requires a cell-phone contract and a SIM fitted for messages to be sent from it. Remonsys recommend a Vodaphone partner as a Service Provider. To prepare the SIM card, slide the SIM into position, contact area downwards, and click the SIM holder shut to hold it in position. Use the software to set up the message to be sent and the cell phone numbers to call. (see and 2.2.9) Test that SMS sending works by selecting Test SMS sending from the Configure menu If user-set alarm delay times are exceeded then the MULTiLOG2 will send a message to up to three cell phone numbers. TAKE CARE when fitting the SIM card. See FAQ on the website for troubleshooting help on SMS sending 2.3. Screen 3 displays the settings for up to 24 sensors. Fit SIM Card Page 7 of 16

For each sensor: Tick if the sensor is in use. NB Only sensors marked In use will be displayed on the Instant Monitor screen, on charts or reports BUT alarms will still sound if the sensor is physically connected to the MULTiLOG2. (see Disabling Alarms on page 9) Enter a sensor location description (names longer than 20 characters will be truncated on charts and reports). Enter the lower temperature limit - TMIN Select the time delay before the alarm sounds for this limit - Delay (Low) Enter the lower temperature limit - TMAX Select the time delay before the alarm sounds for this limit - Delay (Hi) For digital (e.g. door) sensors tick the Digital box. Temperature limits will then be greyed out and the delay time will be set at 5 minutes (this may not be changed) Click finish and wait for settings to be applied. A warning Updating MULTiLOG2 settings will be displayed, then The program will now close to ensure new settings are applied. Click OK. The program will close. On restart, the new settings will be used and logging will start automatically. Instant Monitor will also start and display the new settings To set up a password. In Windows Explorer navigate to the MULTiLOG2 program folder (usually C:\ProgramFiles\Multilog2). Open the file REMONSYS.TXT into Notepad (this file is empty at installation). Type in the required password and save the file. Do not change the filename from REMONSYS.TXT Using the Instant Monitor Screen The Instant Monitor Screen is the first screen to appear when the MULTiLOG2 software runs (when initial Configuration Settings have been entered). It shows the current settings and readings for all sensors marked In Use. NB The only exception to this is when a previously saved file is being viewed. In this case a warning in red Data from File, NOT the current readings is shown at the bottom of the screen. (see item 1 in File Menu section) Page 8 of 16

For each sensor in use, the current temperature will appear in black if it is within the specified low (TMIN) or high (TMAX) limit for that sensor. Outside those limits it will appear in other colours according to its status. Click MULTiLOG2 Colour Key for an explanation. Temperature sensors trigger an audible alarm (and may send an SMS message) after a pre-set delay time. Damaged or disconnected sensors will display N/C, BAD or solid black as appropriate. Digital ( Door Open ) sensors will display as OPEN or SHUT. Digital sensors trigger an audible alarm in the MULTiLOG2 (but not on the PC) after 5 minutes OPEN. The delay time may not be changed. An SMS message will also be sent if within SMS times. Note: Any sensor setting may be changed in Configure/Settings Screen 3. (see pages 7-8) This screen also shows; a. Download Interval and Next Download date/time for auto-download (change in Configuresettings) b. Check Date and Time button to check the PC time against the MULTiLOG2 on-board time. (goto Configure- settings to synchronise these make sure the PC time is the correct local time first!) c. Battery Status of the main and alarm batteries; OK or Low. (View actual voltage in Configure Circuit Diagnostics) d. Instant Monitor Start and Stop buttons e. Acknowledge Alarm button to stop the PC alarm sounding. f. Instant Monitor Status (Instant Monitor is stopped or running) g. Instant Monitor Interval. This is the interval at which on screen temperatures will be updated. It is automatically set as the same as the shortest temperature alarm delay selected and may be different from the MULTiLOG2 logging interval. (it may NOT be changed directly, only by changing one of the sensor delay times) h. Next Update of instant monitor (1 monitor interval on from last reading) (may not be changed directly, it is calculated from the instant monitor interval and the PC time) Audible Alarms Normal Operation All sensors physically connected to the MULTiLOG2 will trigger the audible alarm on the MULTiLOG2 box after the delay time shown in Configuration Settings. To acknowledge the alarm and to stop it sounding, press the blue button. The alarm will not sound again unless a new event is triggered. (eg temperature reading returns to normal and then outside limits again) or until after a data download. The PC Alarm will only sound if the alarm is triggered within one minute of the Instant Monitor update (= shortest delay selected for any temperature sensor) but the PC display will show a temperature in white on magenta if it has previously triggered an alarm. Disabling Alarms The audible alarm will not automatically be disabled for sensors that are physically connected even if not marked In Use. If alarms are not to be triggered for a specific sensor (eg if its location is temporarily out of action) set the Delay (Hi) and Delay (Lo) times to 0 (zero). This will disable the alarms for that sensor. It is not possible to disable an alarm sounding for a door open digital sensor except by physically disconnecting the sensor (or closing the door!). Page 9 of 16

Using the Chart Screen The Chart screen (select by clicking Chart tab) shows a graphical trace for each sensor marked In use. The start point for this trace will be the last time Instant Monitor was started. Any chart may then be printed by clicking the print icon Note: A sensor that is marked In use but not connected (loose connection or faulty) shows as N/C on the Instant Monitor screen but will display as -31.7deg on the chart. This is not a true temperature but indicates a fault with the sensor. The sensor trace should be removed by unticking it in the chart list and the sensor connection should be investigated. It is possible to view traces for all in use sensors at once (chart 1). Greater clarity and definition can be obtained by viewing fewer traces (chart 2) or even a single trace showing, by shading, the lower (TMIN) and upper (TMAX) limits for the sensor Ideally this option should only be used when viewing the chart of a single sensor and is useful for analysing trends or problems a problem in a particular storage area. (chart 3). A reduced date and time range may also be selected to examine a particular time period or sensor in more detail (chart 4). Remove the ticks next to sensors not to be shown on the chart. Draw a box around a section of the chart to reduce the date range. Chart 1: Shows traces for 7 sensors Printer icon Chart 2: Shows traces for just 2 of the 7 sensors shown in Chart 1 Page 10 of 16

Chart 3: Shows one sensor with its upper and lower limits Remove ticks from all sensors except the one to be viewed AND select this sensor in the list labelled Show TMIN and TMAX for sensor. If the sensor has stayed within range, the shading may not be seen if one or both limits are outside the range of the vertical axis. For even greater definition and a reduced date/time range, left click the mouse and drag the on-screen cursor to form a dotted box around the required area. Chart 4: Shows a reduced date range and the trace for a single sensor. The date, time and value of an individual reading may be seen by moving the cursor over that point on the trace. To move chart right/left/up/down, right click and drag in the direction required. Summary, Time/Temperature and Exception Reports may all be viewed and printed using the reduced date range and just the selected sensor(s). To return to the chart showing the complete range of data (e.g. from chart 4 to chart 3), left click and drag upwards from bottom right to top left of chart. Replace ticks to show more or all sensors at once. Another way to change the chart display is to tick the Use TMIN and TMAX as Temperature Range box. This will set the range for the y-axis of the chart to the highest TMAX and lowest TMIN limits set for all sensors in use. As before, by removing ticks next to specific sensors those traces will be removed and the TMIN and TMAX used for the y-axis range will match just the selected sensors. This is especially useful for examing one sensor or group of sensors with the same range of TMIN to TMAX. In Chart 4 ticking this box would change the y-axis range to 15 (TMIN) to 25 (TMAX) the limits for the sensor labelled top left Page 11 of 16

File Menu 1. Open Previously saved file. Downloaded data files are named using the date and time of the download e.g. 2014_01_25_ for 25 Jan 2014 at 07:46. Select the required file. The File Menu also includes a list of up to 10 recently viewed files 1.1. The Instant monitor screen now shows configuration of sensors at time of download and does not show current readings The chart shows data for the date range of the downloaded file Use the reports menu (see below) for other reports Historic data and a warning in red is shown at the bottom of the screen When finished viewing or printing reports from this data click the Resume Instant Monitor button to clear the historic data and resume viewing current data. (NB This button only appears when viewing historic data) 2. New (clear PC data). This removes the data being currently displayed (which could be live or historic data) and restarts the Instant Monitor. It has NO EFFECT on MULTiLOG2 data which will continue logging until the next download. NB Use the Resume Instant Monitor button after viewing historic file data if you don t want to lose the current on-screen Instant Monitor records. 3. Export data as XML. Allows you to save live data currently showing on the PC as an XML file to a filename and folder of your choice. This file can then be opened into another application e.g. Excel spreadsheet. 4. Exit. Exits the program. Live data will be lost from the PC but the MULTiLOG2 continues logging as before. Automatic download will still happen at the scheduled time. NB: If the PC is turned off or power is lost, the MULTiLOG2 will continue to log data (while it has battery power i.e. at least 72 hours) and will download data the next time PC power is restored. Page 12 of 16

Data Menu 1. Download Data (no Restart). Saves any logged data from MULTiLOG2 since it was last restarted. No warning is given (since it has no effect on logging which continues). When complete, Command Successful is displayed. It does NOT empty the MULTiLOG2 memory which continues logging until the next automatic download (or if Configuration settings are changed). 2. Download Data and Restart. Warnings are given and a password is required because this WILL empty the MULTiLOG2 s memory and start a new log AFTER downloading the data stored, regardless of when the time of the last/next download. It does not affect the Instant Monitor display or the screen chart of current data. 3. Start Instant Monitor: Does NOT clear previous data/chart unless Configuration changed 4. Stop Instant Monitor: Displays Warning and Password required box. Does NOT clear previous data/chart but there will be gaps in the live data for period when Instant Monitor was off. It does NOT affect data being logged by the MULTiLOG2 which will be a complete record that can be manually downloaded at any time using data menu option 1 or will otherwise be downloaded and saved at the automatic download interval (typically daily or weekly) NB: For complete evidential records always refer to/print reports from a previously autodownloaded data file. Use File Menu option 1 (File/Open/Previously saved file) Reports Menu These reports will display either live or file data depending which data is showing on the Instant Monitor screen. For evidential reports it is always better to use file (historic) data downloaded from the MULTiLOG2 at regular intervals (e.g. weekly, daily). All reports are previewed on screen. Click the printer icon or print button for a printout. Time/Temperature and Exception reports only display entries for sensors marked in use Reports using a reduced set of sensors and/or a reduced time range can be produced. Select the sensors and time range to be used by adjusting the chart. For more details on selecting a reduce date range and sensor set see Using the Chart Screen on pages 9-10 Page 13 of 16

1. Summary. Report shows, for each sensor marked In use, average temperature, time and % within specification, actual maximum (TMAX) and minimum (TMIN) temperatures with the time at which this was recorded and number of readings outside limits 2. Time/Temperature. This gives a complete date and time stamped record of every reading for every sensor at the recoding interval (e.g. 15 minutes). Sensors not in use will be marked N/C. Warning: This report may be several pages long. Only sensors marked In use are displayed. 3. Exception Report. This report shows ONLY readings outside the specification (i.e. >TMAX or <TMIN) for sensors marked In Use. Each record is time and date stamped. Page 14 of 16

4. Chart. This report is first shown on screen showing a colour coded trace for each sensor in use. (see "Using the Chart Screen on pages for details). Use a colour printer if possible so that the individual traces are more easily identified. To produce a printout, click the printer button at the top right of the screen. The chart will be previewed, select the required printer and click Print for a printout 5. View Diary. This shows a time and date stamped record of every action relating to the MULTiLOG2 and the PC since the software was installed with the most recent event shown at the end of the list. A key is listed at the top to define actions as shown on the screenshot below. Other events will be shown in full. Note: If last power outage shows as 01 January 1990 this means power was lost (or USB lead disconnected) before a date could be retrieved. The file may be edited in Notepad to remove old records Page 15 of 16

Configure Menu 1. Circuit Diagnostics. Provides information on serial number, system version, battery status and date of last start/stop. 2. Test Alarm. Tests the sounder on the MULTiLOG2; click Alarm On to hear sounder and Alarm Off to silence it. If nothing is heard there may be a problem with the alarm battery. (See FAQ Batteries) 3. Test SMS sending. This sends a test SMS message to the telephone number specified in settings. Within 30 seconds, you will either see Command Successful or this pop-up box. NB A suitable SIM card must be installed in the MULTiLOG2. 4. Language. This allows you to change the on-screen language used for labels and commands. Choices include; English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Russian and simplified Chinese. Other languages may be downloaded from the Remonsys website. You must restart the program when changing languages. (MULTiLOG2 logging continues) 5. Last loss of power. Returns the date and time of the most recent loss of power. View on screen, then OK to close 6. Settings. This important option allows you to set-up or change the MULTiLOG2 settings. The operation is password protected (if no password in use press enter). There will be a delay while any data in the MULTiLOG2 is downloaded and saved. After Configuration settings have been changed the program will close. Restart the program to start logging using the new settings. For details on changing Configuration settings and setting up a password see Running the MULTiLOG2 software for the first time 7. Read settings from MULTiLOG2. This will confirm that the settings in the PC configuration are the same as those in the MULTiLOG2 unit or show a list of differences with option to upload ML2 settings to PC. 8.
