1 Requirements: SQLite3 is required for the database. Linux users should install SQLite3 using their distributions package manager. Or you can download it from the SQLite website: For windows users SQLite is included with the Yellow PIM msi installer. Installation: Linux users: tar.gz package: untar -xvf yellowpim_*.tar.gz cd yellowpim_x.x.x as root./install.sh.deb package: as root dpkg -i yellowpim_*.deb.rpm package: as root zypper install yellowpim_*.rpm Windows users: executre the YellowPIM_x.x.x.msi Running the Yellow PIM program. Linux users: a Yellow PIM entry will be placed in the Office group of the start menu. Windows users: a Yellow PIM entry will be placed in the Start menu. If not found it will create a folder in the user's home folder (/home/user on linux, /Users/user/My Documents/ or /Documents and Settings/user/My Documents/ on windows) named yellowpim. Inside this directory it will create an empty database and another folder named maps.

You can create as many different categories as you need. You can also think of categories as attributes, key words, tags, etc. You create categories from the Setup -> Categories menu option.
4 Contact Lists should be familiar to you. They are the same as your contact lists. Contact lists can be Personal, Business, Golf League, etc. Individual contacts can be assigned to none, one or many lists. You can create as many different contact lists as you need. You create contact lists from the Setup -> Contact Lists menu option.

7 Calendar: Default display is the current day. You can select a specific date by entering / selecting a date on the calendar. The top calendar is the previous month, the middle calendar is the current month and the bottom calendar is the next month. Clicking on any day of a calendar makes that the currently selected date. If you click on the first (or any other) day of the previous month then it will become the current month. By repeatedly clicking any day of the previous month you turn the calendar back.
