1 Insignia Update to Insignia Software is proud to announce that our version is now available to all our customers. Our major focus in the release was making Insignia customizable to your needs. All features available in our Silverlight version have been incorporated in our version along with some brand new ones detailed below. Please contact us at to arrange an demonstration. Silverlight Browser Support You can now use Insignia in any modern browser including Chrome, Firefox, and Safari is an open standard and does not require any plugins to install or keep updated Switched your browser? Please disable pop-up blocking for your Insignia URL so reports load Unable to open Insignia in Internet Explorer? Please turn off Compatibility Mode. Resizable Windows Windows can be made larger or smaller by moving your cursor to the corner of a window and dragging to resize it You can maximize a window by clicking to display more information Page 1 of 5

2 Quick Toolbar Drag and drop from the vertical navigator to add additional buttons to the Quick Toolbar Right click buttons in the Quick Toolbar to delete buttons or add keyboard shortcuts Re-arrange the layout of the Quick Toolbar by dragging and dropping buttons Windows Click the Options button or More button to add or hide features by using the checkboxes each window to have your most frequently accessed features visible Columns Click on any column in a grid view to select the visible columns by using the checkboxes to select or deselect them the visible information and hide the columns that you do not find useful Page 2 of 5

3 Find Items ISBN Z39.50 search has been moved to the top of the window under the Search By options Buttons can be added or hidden in the interface by clicking More Catalog Items The tabs related to the bibliographic item record are now under the main Bib Info tab You can drag and drop cover images from your computer to the Add Cover area The selection for Group Allowed to Search has been moved to the Misc tab Reading Program & Kiosk Categories The Reading Program tab s contents has been moved to the Categories tab The Kiosk Categories that were on the es tab have been moved to the Categories tab Page 3 of 5

4 Reports Reports are no longer separated by module they are all in one searchable Reports tab Similar reports have been aggregated into reports with enhanced flexibility Configuration Configuration settings are now searchable and include a setting description Configuration II in enables you to access the tabbed configuration interface Security Security permissions provide more granularity to precisely control access levels New Scope feature allows consortia to provide additional access for consortia staff Missing a permission you had in Silverlight? 5 Catalog Copies All copies can be viewed in a grid view and selected by clicking on them Detail II contains additional copy information including Editing History and es Global Changes System Defined and User Defined Global Changes have been created for each module and placed into the Global Change window as tabs Global change descriptions have been added to provide additional information Criteria flexibility has been increased using the Add button to specify additional criteria Unable to access a Global Change?
