Trial Process Follow the steps below to start your E-FOTA Advanced trial: Application Preparation Approval Registration Trial 1. Complete Trial Application Form including user and device information.

8 Trial Policy Trial purpose Update Scenario - Help the understanding of the E-FOTA Advanced solution. - Experience the core features of E-FOTA Advanced. - Repeatedly execute OS update campaign with dummy firmware* and find out more about E-FOTA Advanced. Original Firmware Dummy Firmware Dummy1 Firmware (=Original Firmware) - Current version of OS should be updated to dummy version (.DM), then (.DM) should be updated to (.DM1) version to go back to the original version. - This is for test purposes to continuously try updating firmware version. * What is dummy firmware? For every Samsung official firmware released, a corresponding dummy firmware exists for testing purposes. If there is no dummy firmware, devices with the latest firmware must wait for a new firmware to release in order to further test the E-FOTA update functions. With the dummy firmware, E-FOTA testers can repeatedly upgrade their device from an official firmware to a dummy firmware and then back to the official firmware. 8
