5 DE EN 1. General 1.1. Intended use The VI-6080 offers an individual webpage for configuration and measurement information as well as for service purposes. As each VI-6080 has an individual IP address, each VI-6080 s webpage can be reached by entering the IP address in the address line of a common web browser if the PC used is connected over LAN connection with the VI This individual webpage offers information necessary for commissioning, verifying and basic network configuration Intended use of this manual This manual describes the functions available on the VI-6080 web-pages..common warnings Usage The webpage of the VI-6080 will be used to Check the operation during commissioning Configure and check network settings Update of firmware Verifications services WARNING! General The VI-6080 is a device which interfaces vibration, displacement and process signals of a protection system into the Compass 6000 Condition Monitoring System. The original sensor signals coming from the buffered outputs of the protection system are connected to the VI The VI-6080 digitizes and processes the sensor signals in such a way that the Compass 6000 system can use them. The VI-6080 can also interface sensor signals directly, if the sensor supply is realized separately. The VI-6080 is fully integrated into the Compass 6000 system. The configuration is done by using the Monitoring Workstation Software Type 7123 in CVM Mode. The VI-6080 s web-page is also an option to communicate with the device. 7 DE EN 3. The Webpages of VI Home page of VI-6080 Precondition: Connection via LAN established between VI-6080 and PC with web browser, e.g Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox or similar. Enter the IP address of the VI-6080 in the address line of a common web browser. The homepage of VI-6080 will be displayed. NOTE! Web browser security settings will issue a warning in regards to missing certificate. As this is a device home page, there are no general certificates available. Please accept the missing certificate to get to the device home page. Explanation of columns Component Setting for each Channel given by setup configuration Measurement Description of the kind of measurement performed, status Value Measurement value, given range or parameter setting Quality Shows OK (green) or NOK (red) if measurements are valid or not. This can speed up commissioning services. For example if a lot of identical VI-6080 devices have to be commissioned identical in regards to channel configuration. Select Upload and follow the displayed instructions 3. Select Activate after Upload is finished and follow the displayed instructions 4. Select Reboot and follow the displayed instructions. WARNING! Glossary of Terms SSH Firmware In computing, the SSH File Transfer Protocol (also Secure File Transfer Protocol, or SFTP) is a network protocol that provides file access, file transfer, and file management functionalities over any reliable data stream. It was designed by the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) as an extension of the Secure Shell protocol (SSH) version 2.0 to provide secure file transfer capabilities. The IETF Internet Draft states that even though this protocol is described in the context of the SSH-2 protocol, it could be used in a number of different applications, such as secure file transfer over Transport Layer Security (TLS) and transfer of management information in VPN applications Firmware is a device specific software that enables the device to work in the expected function. Firmware updates are normally performed only by authorized personnel.
