1 Summary PaperWise presents software fixes and additional client feature requests in the latest version of the Suite, version 6.5. In an attempt to offer prompt updates from and the latest functionality to customers, PaperWise opted to make changes prior to the next major release of software. Although many of the updates are behind the scenes, the changes will greatly enhance the user experience. Installation Several issues related to the installation process have been resolved. Most notably, a change to how the install path is added to the PaperWise registry hive that insures smooth communication between the TCK files and the PaperWise database. Other updates are: Modification on how Send To is installed. Correction of a typo in the C++ Redistributable error box. Resolution of errors in the Command window when installing the Enterprise Server. Several of the default application settings were updated to install with new values. These changes were implemented to alleviate having to make changes immediately after install. Application Dashboard Change Logging is disabled, by default. The internal fields are now located to the far right, by default. Issue resolutions and feature requests have been incorporated into this release of. The primary issues addressed revolve around adding and pinning tabs to work in multiple file cabinets. The ability to select tab colors has been added as well as a resolution for the storing of file cabinet selections when new tabs are created and maintaining the appearance of custom toolbars when adding tabs. Additional issues resolved are: Retaining field values when moving between Index and Search tabs after an advanced search. Filename retention when ing multiple documents. Text annotations not matching up with the orientation of the document. Printing secure PDF s. Error when printing mixed document types as a PDF. Scale of text annotations matching dpi resolution of the document. Issues when sending documents from to Workbench. In application warning that secure PDF s will not retain annotations when ing from. Viewer refresh. will now display a warning that secure PDF s will not display annotations when exported. Overflow error issue when returning a large number of documents has been resolved. View being reset when adding a new tab has been resolved. Page 3

4 ImageWise In addition to minor cosmetic changes, the primary issue resolved in ImageWise is a performance issue when using Canon high speed scanners at a high resolution and using VRS (Virtual ReScan). Send To In addition to resolving several reported issues, Send To has been updated with a Windows Explorer type interface that allows users to work with documents that have been added to the Send To queue prior to adding the documents to the PaperWise database. Some of the issues resolved include: Multiple instances of Send To launching when sending additional documents to PaperWise. Overflow error when closing Send To on the non-primary monitor. Ability to print annotations added in the Send To viewer. Annotations are retained when adding additional documents. The Send Attachments value has been added to the registry as a default setting. Issues with Exit and close Send To when all documents have been processed have been resolved. Overall application performance issues. Form Designer A JavaScript pane has been built in to the Form Designer that allows users to add JavaScript to the forms directly in the application. Going forward, this will make the JavaScript driven functionality of the form much simpler to create and configure. Additionally, the behavior of the wizard has been modified. Dashboard An issue regarding the retention of previously selected values when an existing configuration is edited has been resolved. Saved values are now retained correctly when editing a configuration. DataWise The last line of data getting cut off when using the End of Data option has been resolved. Page 4

5 DisplayWise Application crash when closing DisplayWise from the System Tray in Server 2008 has been resolved. InfoWise Overall performance issues related to application message boxes. PaperWise Management Console (MMC) The default setting has been changed to Use Strong Encryption. Performance issues related to adding volumes through the right-click menu have been resolved. Office Bar Ability to turn off sending images embedded in s (signature files or company logos). Attachments with same name no longer overwrite each other. Print to PaperWise List of file extensions that a document can be printed as now includes all supported options. Quickboard Out of Memory and application refresh issues have been resolved. Templates no longer become locked when linkage is broken. Application crash when extracting data from a PDF in Internet Explorer has been resolved. Reporting Services Application refresh issues have been resolved. PaperWise Explorer/Treeview Login information is correctly passed between Explorer and. Application crash when performing drag-and-drop action has been resolved. Ability to reconfigure cabinets has been added. Cabinets disappearing after moving documents between cabinets has been resolved. Application freezing when scrolling and moving a document between cabinets has been resolved. Usernames now appear rather than User ID s. Page 5

6 PwObjectModel Application suite caching issues have been resolved. Polling Service Backup file retention behavior has been modified. Installer and installation process issues have been resolved. Application crash during configuration has been resolved. WebWise Modified how the application handled temporary files. Application error and exception logging has been enhanced. Workbench Text annotation scaling has been resolved. Ability to add secure PDF s has been added. Color PDF s now retain color when printing to PaperWise or from Workbench. Document specific copy/paste issue has been resolved. Application crash when scrolling through thumbnails has been resolved. Workflow Designer Application crash when adding non-alphanumeric characters to workflow name has been resolved. Exception error when performing a wildcard (*) search has been resolved. Issue with modification of a copy also modifying the original workflow file has been resolved. Workflow Service Ability to have dynamic multiform packets has been added.
