3 Overview SureClose includes several fixes and enhancements. This document provides important postinstallation considerations, a brief explanation of what has been fixed, and an introduction to new features and functionality implemented with this release. Deployment Date: September 5, 2008 Post-Installation Considerations After the new version has been deployed and prior to you logging in, it is recommended that you complete the following post-installation tasks: Delete Temporary Internet Files Delete Cookies Deleting Temporary Internet Files (MS Article ID: ) The Temporary Internet Files (or cache) folder contains Web page content that is stored on your hard disk for quick viewing. This cache permits Internet Explorer or MSN Explorer to download only the content that has changed since you last viewed a Web page instead of downloading all the content for the page every time it is displayed. Administrators can customize Temporary Internet File settings to prevent modifications. Contact your System Administrator if you cannot access the Internet Options dialog box or the General tab. Steps 1. Close Internet Explorer, and any instances of Windows Explorer. 2. From the Start menu, point to Control Panel, and then select Internet Options. The Internet Options dialog box displays. 3. On the General tab, locate Temporary Internet Files, and then click Delete Files. The Delete Files dialog box displays. 4. Select the Delete all offline content check box, and then click OK. A confirmation message displays asking if you are sure you want to complete the delete process. 5. To confirm, click OK. Note Be patient when performing this task, if the Temporary Internet Files folder contains a significant amount of Web page content, then this process may take several minutes to complete. SureClose Release Notes 1
4 Deleting Cookie Files (MS Article ID: ) Files starting with the word Cookie may remain in the Temporary Internet Files folder even after opting to delete them. You can delete these files; however, it is recommended that you make a backup copy of cookies prior to deleting them because these files may contain information for a customized Web page or login information for a Web site that you do not want to lose. If needed, contact your System Administrator for assistance or refer to MS Article ID: Steps 1. Close Internet Explorer, and any instances of Windows Explorer. 2. From the Start menu, point to Control Panel, and then select Internet Options. The Internet Options dialog box displays. 3. On the General tab, locate Temporary Internet Files, and then click Delete Cookies. The Delete Cookies dialog box displays. A confirmation message displays asking if you are sure you want to complete the delete process. 4. To confirm, click OK. Non-Critical Defects Fixed Use the table below to identify problems reported and fixed using Schema 2 of Web Services. Issue Description Importing files with templates that have placeholders will no longer cause duplicate placeholder entries Importing Buyers and Sellers will no longer cause them to be associated with the Company Importing a party will no longer duplicate the following Contact Information: Business Phone, Fax, and . 5 Features and Functionality This section introduces new features and functionality added to SureClose New in this Release A new edelivery button has been added to the Documents page so that eclosing Managers can electronically deliver loan packages to Lenders who have been authorized to log into eclosingroom. A new SureClose print driver has been added to the Home page for compatibility with Windows Vista. A new TIFF Viewer stamp has been added so that users can stamp documents with their name and the current system date and time to indicate a document has been reviewed, and by whom. A new function has been added so that SureClose can communicate with Web Services, and Schema 4 when importing integrator files from Flagstar and AFW (AIM for Windows) 6.0. A new Help system has been added as a primary source of support information and is available by clicking Help from the top menu. edelivery Button A new edelivery button has been added to the Documents page, visible only to SureClose users who have access to eclosingroom and have been assigned the role of an eclosing Manager. Steps Note If sending loan documents, the documents must be selected prior to clicking the edelivery button on the Documents page. 1. Log into SureClose. 2. From the navigation pane, click Documents. The Documents page displays. 3. From the top menu, click edelivery. The edelivery wizard displays. SureClose Release Notes 3
6 4. Select who will receive the edelivery documents from Select an edelivery Receiver from the list. 5. Select to an edelivery function from Select the edelivery Function. In this case, select eclosing documents. 6. Enter the receiver s loan number by typing the number in Enter Receiver s Loan Number. 7. If needed, type any additional comments in Comments. 8. To continue, click Next. The next screen displays. 9. Verify the edelivery information. Once approved, click Send. The next screen displays. 10. The final screen confirms the loan documents sent and the status of their delivery. Note An error message will display if unsupported documents are selected for edelivery. Supported document types include: PDF, XHTML, and TIFF. SureClose Release Notes 4
7 11. In SureClose, the Status page is updated with successful edelivery transmissions. The new status types are Documents Routed, and Closed Notification Routed. Verify the Status page updates. SureClose Print Driver 2.0 A new print driver 2.0 has been added to the Home page for compatibility with Windows Vista. What s New? New Microsoft Windows Vista compatibility New Basic tab to upload documents to your SureClose Inbox, or to a specific document placeholder on a file New Advanced tab to search for files to upload documents to and to view a listing of which document placeholders are available. New PDF conversion option. When uploading documents into SureClose, you can now select to convert that document into a.pdf file. New paperclip icon SureClose. displays next to placeholders with existing documents attached in Online Help is the primary source of information for the new print driver. It is available to you by clicking Help Print Driver Help from the top menu. Search Help for answers to questions that may arise while using SureClose Print Driver. SureClose Release Notes 5
8 Doc Review Stamp in TIFF Viewer A new TIFF Viewer stamp, Doc Review has been added. Use this new feature to annotate documents reviewed with the reviewer s name along with the date and time the document was reviewed. By design, the name of the user logged into SureClose is assumed to be the reviewer, and the date and time stamp is defaulted to the current system date and time. New Review Done Button This button has been added to the TIFF Viewer to indicate the review is complete. Users must select Save prior to selecting the Review Done button. Once selected, users are returned to the Documents page where a new Pencil icon displays next to the placeholder name to indicate the review is complete. Finally, the new Pencil icon has also been added to the Legends page with the following description: This indicates that the document has been reviewed by a SureClose user. This is only available for documents stored in the TIFF format. The user that was logged in and reviewed the document will be indicated, as well as, the time and date they did the review. 9 Web Services and Schema 4 Import Capability The ability to communicate with Web Services and Schema 4 when importing integrator files from Flagstar and AFW (AIM for Windows) 6.0 has been added. New functionality includes the following capabilities: Import files from the Inbox Auto-Import Buyers and Sellers Import Company Parties and all other Parties to the Import to Parties section Import Documents to the Inbox Auto-Import Documents if Import Code is provided SureClose Help A new Help system has been added as a primary source of support information and is available by clicking Help from the top menu. Help includes a full Table of Contents, Frequently Asked Questions, as well as, access to Quick Reference Cards that can be printed or saved to your computer. SureClose Release Notes 7
