There are a few preliminary steps necessary when connecting the through another (customer s existing) router. The Network Administrator/IT support person will need to provide Port Forward for 3rd party. This step must be completed for each router if multiple routers are between the and the Internet. ( See the bottom of the ) 3 The Destination Name is the user s opportunity to name the connection something they can remember Make sure to check the box indicating the connection should not be made now. Setup requires additional steps to complete the process. 4

4 Quick Start Q.5.25 June 2013 Page 4 5 Enter the User name from the KE2 SmartGate label. 6 Enter the Password from the KE2 SmartGate label. 7 Selecting the Show characters option is not required, however, it can be helpful to ensure the Password is entered correctly. NOTE: Some users may choose to have the controller remember the password to simplify the connection process. Other users will choose to enter the password each time for added security. 8 Click Create Click Close 9
