1 VPN4ALL Mobile for Android 4.X Guide How to setup VPN4ALL Mobile on your Android 4.X device - SmartPhone or Tablet - with an English language interface. In your Android 4.x device, go to 'Settings': Click on the 'Main Menu' icon (1). VPN4ALL Mobile for Android 4.X Guide - 1

3 Expand the 'Wireless and networks' section to see more options: In the 'Wireless and networks' section of the 'Settings' menu, click on the '... More' icon/line (3) to see more options. VPN4ALL Mobile for Android 4.X Guide - 3

4 Go to 'VPN': In the 'Wireless and network settings' menu, click the 'VPN' icon/line (4) to access the VPN settings of you device. VPN4ALL Mobile for Android 4.X Guide - 4

5 Go to 'Add VPN Network': In the 'VPN' menu, click the 'Add VPN Network' icon/line (5) to create a profile for VPN4ALL VPN network on your mobile device. Once done, the 'Edit VPN network' screen should pop up (below). The 'Edit VPN network' screen is where you enter all the settings of your VPN4ALL VPN network profile. 6 Set 'Name': Click on the 'Name' field in the 'Edit VPN network' screen (6). Enter any name for your VPN4ALL VPN network profile into the 'Name' field. Note: It doesn't matter which VPN name you enter here, as it doesn't influence the VPN connection. It simply allows you to differentiate one VPN network profile from another setup on your mobile device. If you are planning on having just one VPN4ALL VPN network profile, type-in 'vpn4all'. If you are planning on having multiple VPN4ALL VPN network profiles, type-in "vpn4all-usa" (or whichever country location you are planning on using for your Mobile VPN connection). 7 Set 'Type': By default the VPN Network type is set to 'PPTP'. Click on the 'PPTP' field labeled 'Type' in the 'Edit VPN network' screen and select the 'L2TP/IPSec PSK VPN' options (7). Once done, the 'L2TP/IPSec PSK VPN' should appear in the field labeled 'Type' (below). VPN4ALL Mobile for Android 4.X Guide - 7

8 Set 'Server address': Click on the 'Server address' field in the 'Edit VPN network' screen (8). Type-in the IP address of a VPN4ALL server you want to connect to from the Server Address list we sent to you in your VPN4ALL-Mobile Welcome . Note: For the fastest connection, we recommend you to choose the server location you are in or the closest to you. Make sure not to make a mistake when typing in the IP address; there are no spaces between the numbers and the "." sign! VPN4ALL Mobile for Android 4.X Guide - 8

9 Set 'IPsec pre-shared key': Click on the 'IPsec pre-shared key' field in the 'Edit VPN network' screen (9). Enter the pre-shared key: Type-in YourSharedSecret (one word without spaces, capital 'Y' and both 'S' ). Once done, your VPN4ALL VPN network profile is ready to be saved. 10 Review the Setup: Note: All other settings, like 'L2TP secret', 'IPSec identifier' and other advanced options, should be left untouched / default. VPN4ALL Mobile for Android 4.X Guide - 10

11 Click 'Save' to save the settings of the VPN4ALL VPN network profile: IMPORTANT: Save your VPN settings! If at this point you navigate away from the 'Edit VPN Network' screen, the settings you've entered won't be saved and will be lost. To save the new profile for VPN4ALL VPN network on your mobile device, click the 'Save' button in the 'Edit VPN Network' screen (10). Once you click 'Save', the 'VPN' screen should re-appear with 'vpn4all' VPN network profile set up in the list of VPN networks (below). VPN4ALL Mobile for Android 4.X Guide - 11

12 How to connect to VPN4ALL: To connect, click the 'vpn4all' line in the list of VPN networks (11). The 'Connect to vpn4all' popup should appear: VPN4ALL Mobile for Android 4.X Guide - 12

13 Enter your VPN4ALL-Mobile License Number (we sent to you in your VPN4ALL-Mobile Welcome ) into the 'Username' field. Enter vpn (lower-case) into the 'Password' field. Make sure to tick 'Save Account Information', then click 'Connect' (12). Note: Once configured the first time, you don t need to enter any of your VPN4ALL Mobile settings again. Credential Storage Password popup: In some cases your Android device might ask you to set (or enter) a password for credential storage. Please note that it's your device, not us, asking this. If asked to set a password for credential storage, enter any 8 characters (for example, ) and click 'OK'. If asked to enter the password, enter your pre-set password for credential storage and click 'OK'. VPN4ALL Mobile for Android 4.X Guide - 13

14 If you forgot your pre-set credential storage password, you can reset it by following the instructions provided in "What is 'Set Credential Storage Password?" of the Troubleshooting section of this Guide (scroll down). Connecting: While your device is connecting to VPN4ALL, 'Connecting...' should appear underneath the 'vpn4all' line in the list of VPN networks (13). Connecting shouldn't take longer than a few seconds. Note: Connecting requires an active mobile Internet connection (Edge, 3G, 4G or WiFi). If your device is not connected to the internet over Edge, 3G, 4G or WiFi or if your mobile Internet connection is not active (for example, you cannot load google.com page in your mobile browser), a VPN connection will not work. 15 Connected: Once connected, 'Connected' should appear underneath the 'vpn4all' line in the list of VPN (14) and a small key-like icon should appear in the notification bar of your mobile device (15). Once connected, click your device's 'Home' button to navigate away from the 'VPN settings' screen and proceed with your mobile Internet activities. The small key-like icon will remain in the notification bar of your mobile device to prompt you that all your online activities are completely secure, private and anonymous, even on an unsecured public WiFi! 16 How to disconnect from VPN4ALL: To disconnect, go back to the 'VPN' screen (Main Menu > Settings >...More in 'Wireless and network' > VPN) and click the 'vpn4all' line in the list of VPN networks (16). Once done, the 'VPN is connected" popup will appear. Click 'Cancel' to keep your VPN4ALL Mobile connected; click 'Disconnect' to disconnect from your VPN4ALL Mobile. Disconnecting shouldn't take longer than a few seconds. Once disconnected from VPN4ALL, you are connected to the Internet directly through your mobile Internet provider (Edge, 3G, 4G or WiFi) and are online unprotected. Note that in some Android devices you can go back to the 'VPN settings' screen by simply expanding the notification bar of your mobile device and tapping on the key-like VPN icon. 17 How to re-connect to VPN4ALL: Once configured the first time, you don t need to enter any of your VPN4ALL Mobile settings again. To re-connect to VPN4ALL, go back to the 'VPN' screen (Main Menu > Settings >...More in 'Wireless and network' > VPN) and click the 'vpn4all' line in the list of VPN networks. The 'Connect to vpn4all' popup should appear. If you chose to save account information when configuring your VPN4ALL Mobile, the 'Username' field will be pre-filled and the 'Password' field will be empty. Enter vpn (lower-case) into the 'Password' field. Make sure to keep ticked the 'Save account information' option, and click 'Connect'. If you chose not to save account information when configuring your VPN4ALL Mobile, both the 'Username' and the 'Password' fields will be empty. Enter your VPN4ALL-Mobile License Number (we sent to you in your VPN4ALL-Mobile Welcome ) into the 'Username' field. Enter vpn (lower-case) into the 'Password' field. Editing / Deleting your 'vpn4all' VPN settings: To edit or delete your 'vpn4all' settings, go back to the 'VPN' screen (Main Menu > Settings >...More in 'Wireless and network' > VPN) and tap-hold the 'vpn4all' line in the list of VPN networks. 19 IMPORTANT: Once edited, don't forget to click 'Save' (10). If at this point you navigate away from the 'VPN' screen, the changes you've made won't be saved and will be lost. FAQs & Troubleshooting What is 'Set Credential Storage Password'? You need to set Credential Storage Password to allow a VPN network profile use secure certificates on your phone. To view or change your pre-set Credential Storage Password, in your phone's Settings, go to Location and Security > Set Password. How can I tell that my Internet connection is Encrypted? Whenever VPN4ALL Mobile is active, you will see the security key appear in the indicator field of your phone/tablet. With which networks does VPN4ALL Mobile work? VPN4ALL Mobile works on all networks including Edge, 3G, 4G, home and public WiFi. Does VPN4ALL Mobile work on Pay as You Go or Prepaid Plans? Yes, VPN4ALL Mobile works on all prepaid plans, but you must purchase a plan that includes Internet access. Remember that with some cellular carriers if you purchase an Internet plan to your prepaid sim, you will have to wait 24 hours before the plan commences. Also remember to request your network handler unblock your content blocker if you wish to browse all websites. Will VPN4ALL Mobile work on Customized Firmware that are not standard Firmware upgrades? Possibly yes, but we cannot guarantee that it will and we won't provide support if it doesn't. Where can I manage My Account details? To manage your VPN4ALL Mobile Account Information (change your personal details, request service cancellation, renew or upgrade your account), go to your VPN4ALL Client Area. Note: Accessing your VPN4ALL Client Area requires an active Internet connection. Where can I renew my VPN4ALL Mobile? Go to your VPN4ALL Client Area. There you can renew your subscription, manage your personal details on record with us and much more. VPN4ALL Mobile is connected but my Internet connection is not working If you are experiencing problems with your Internet browser not displaying the pages visited, then please go to your phone's Settings > Wireless & networks > Mobile networks Access Point Names > Select the option highlighted by a green identifier (This will be your contract either PAYG or Monthly Pay ), navigate to the Proxy setting. Sometimes, if you are on an Edge, 2G or your 3G, 4G or WiFi which is extremely weak, you may have to try several times to get a connection. If you are having problems connecting to one VPN4ALL server / IP address, please try a different one from the Server Address list we sent to you in your VPN4ALL-Mobile Welcome . You can either change the VPN4ALL server / IP address to a different one by editing your 'vpn4all' VPN settings, or simply create a second (third, fourth, as many as you wish) profile for VPN4ALL VPN network with a different VPN server / IP address.
