2 10.1 Running Reports in Course Manager Standard reports in the OnPoint system are located at the bottom of each of the main dropdown areas within the OnPoint Course Manager. Here is an example of the Reports option shown under the Users & Groups menu dropdown. The Reports selection is also present under the Content, Assessments, Skills & Games, and Events & Activities main menus. Selecting Reports from the dropdown menu will open a list of available reports related to that menu heading. Each report, when selected, will open to a filter page allowing you to select the various criteria desired. Click the Generate Report button at the bottom left to run the report to screen. The report opens in a new window and can be printed using your web browser s print function. Spring 2018 Page 10-2

3 Note the Show/Hide link at the lower area of the filter area; clicking that link exposes a number of additional data elements that can be included in the report output. (See expanded filter shown above.) These data elements will typically include custom fields that have been defined by the customer. This allows you to include certain additional information as needed from the data stored in the LMS Exporting Report Results Once a report is run, it can be printed or exported to PDF or.csv file for further manipulation. These options are found in the top right corner of the results display screen. The data will automatically print or start downloading once selected. Click back to return to that report s filter page. Click close to return to the list of reports Report Access for Managers via Performance Manager All of the reports available to Administrators within Course Manager can also be made available to be run by Performance Manager roles. Any report turned on for viewing in Performance Manager will show up within the Reports tab of the Performance Manager ( OPPM ) application (see image below). Once there, a Group or Reporting Manager can run the report specifically for groups of users who report to that manager via a Managed Group setting or Organizational Chart hierarchy level. Group/Reporting managers have the same print and export functionality as Administrators have through Course Manager. Note: Reports can be marked to display in OPPM via the Administration - Manage Reports area of Course Manager. (Root Admin Role Only) Spring 2018 Page 10-3

5 10.2 Custom Reports Most OnPoint reports can be modified should you find a report that is close to perfect, but needs one or two additional fields of information. Contact OnPoint s Technical Support Team or your Engagement Manager to inquire if a report you are interested in changing can be altered, and what the associated timeline and cost might be. OnPoint may have written a report for another customer that we can suggest you try first, before an enhancement is needed. Spring 2018 Page 10-5

6 10.3 Users & Groups: Reports The Users & Groups: Reports drop-down selection provides a number of standard reports related to the Users, Groups, Job Codes, Locations and Organizational Chart that are created and managed in the Course Manager repository. Reports are listed alphabetically by Report Name. Click on the Report Name to select the report you wish to view, then choose the filter settings desired. Any custom reports will also be included in the list view, and noted as Custom in the far-right column Manager List by last OPCM Login This report is a listing of all defined administrator roles within Course Manager, including all Root Administrators, Site Administrators, Content Administrators, Course Coordinators and Event Managers. There is a start date filter so that you can specify just the time period you wish to report on. Results show all roles and the date/time of last login to Course Manager User Activity List This report is a listing of all user statuses for a selected Activity within the OnPoint system. 7 User/Learner List by Group/Org This report is a listing of all defined Users in your OnPoint system, sorted alphabetically by User Last Name User Access by Group This report is a listing of all defined Users in a selected Group or Org Chart with information provided based on Portal and Mobile logins processed. Report can be run for Portal, Mobile or both in the report results. Spring 2018 Page 10-7

9 10.4 Content: Reports The Content: Reports menu selection reveals a number of pre-designed reports related to the content items stored and managed in your Course Manager repository. Here are some of the more popular ones Asset List by Category This summary level report provides a list of all of the Assets currently defined and managed within Course Manager. This can be filtered to include one or All categories of items in the results display. Report details include the asset name, file name, asset type, and status Course List This summary level report provides a list of all Courses currently managed within Course Manager. Details include course name, category, whether the course requires approval or not, whether the course is currently published, the course creation date, version number, last update date, and the number of assigned users. 10 Course Progress for Specific Course This report provides the completion status for all users assigned to a selected Course currently managed within Course Manager. Results include user name, status, and the completion date for completed items. Data such as Login and Primary Group are examples of additional fields selected from the filter page in the Show/Hide area Nugget Progress Summary This 2-part report provides both a summary of completion status as well as a drill-in option, for a selected Nugget in the system. The results display calculates all users in each status and presents this data in a format that can then be clicked into to see a view of those users that make up that total shown for that specific Nugget. 12 10.5 Assessments: Reports The Assessments: Reports feature provides a number of pre-designed reports of Assessments, Tests, Questions, etc. reached via the Assessments drop-down menu and stored in your Course Manager repository. Reports are listed alphabetically by Report Name. Here are several of the more popular reports Assessment Set Progress This summary-level report details the completion status for a selected Assessment Set in the system. The results display will show all assigned users to the Assessment Set with their current status (e.g. Not Attempted, Completed, Failed). If the status is Completed, the completion date will be shown in the Date column Feedback Statistics This summary-level report details user response information from all users taking a specific Feedback- or Survey-type test. The results display will show all questions in the test and the available answers. Entries will be calculated for each selected response and shown visually on the screen. If the test includes Essaytype test questions, a link is provided that opens a new page with all essay responses presented. Spring 2018 Page 10-12

14 Test Answer Analysis All Questions This report will show all answers by all users for a specific test. You are able to review in detail all provided answers for all questions Test Scores by Group This summary level report shows all users of a selected group who have taken a specific test. Results show the user Name, Test Date, Test Score, Completion Status, and whether the test was part of a recertification or just a first- time completion. Spring 2018 Page 10-14

15 10.6 Curriculum/Skill Profile: Reports The Skills & Games Reports area provides a number of pre-designed reports of Curriculum/Skill Profiles accessed via this menu heading and stored in the Course Manager repository. Reports are listed alphabetically by Report Name. Click on the Report Name to select the report you desire. Here are several of the more popular reports Curriculum Detail Report by Org/Group This summary level report shows all users who are assigned to the selected Curriculum and their Curriculum status as well as the status of all items within the curriculum. This report also shows the start and completion date and any scores achieved from an OnPoint test that was a part of the curriculum Skill Profile Status Summary List This is a two-part report of completion status counts for all skill profiles, by date. Each status count may be clicked into to view specific user details, including a user/learner s completion status during the specified date range. Spring 2018 Page 10-15

17 10.7 Events: Reports The Events: Reports area provides a number of pre-designed reports related to Events created and managed in the Course Manager repository. Reports are listed alphabetically by Report Name. Here are several of the more popular Events Reports Event List This report provides a list of all past and future events, sorted alphabetically by the Event Name. This can be run for Instructor-Led (ILT) or Webinar-type events. The data provided includes Create and Update dates as well as the Category of the events listed Event Attendance by Session This report lists all user attendance for a selected event session. This can be run for ILT or Webinar-type events. The results display will show all users scheduled to attend the Class/Session, and whether they were approved to attend and their current status (Yes or No). Spring 2018 Page 10-17
