1 FCE Results Semester FCE results are calculated and released a few days after the final grade deadline ensuring that all participating campuses have submitted final grades. Results are sent via to each participating faculty as a pdf attachment generated by the SmartEvals system. These results provide the average score per question and comments. Who else can view faculty results? According to Faculty Senate, college deans and department heads may view faculty question scores and comments. Staff and students may view only scores. Where to login for FCE Results? Faculty may view results anytime by logging in to the FCE site at or accessing the site via the HUB faculty and staff information page at Deans and/or Department Heads must login using their Andrew id and password. After logging in, deans and department heads are given access to their college and/or department with a Welcome page. A menu page will display. Navigate using the black menu bar at the top or the chart with blue hyperlinks. For survey results, start by either Selecting Reports Survey Results OR Choosing Survey Results within the chart. 2 Reports Menu Option Deans and department heads will see a college aggregate score page by their college first. At this point, click on any blue semester and/or college. The page will reload with department aggregate scores. University Registrar s Office Page 2 of 8 5/15/2017

3 Click on any blue dept link that interests you by semester. In some cases, there is only one department to select based on your permissions. Whichever row is selected, that semester will load. The page will reload with results for just that particular semester based your selection and display various dropdown search fields. In this example, 2016 Fall row was selected above and the result was all Fall 2016 scores (below). University Registrar s Office Page 3 of 8 5/15/2017

4 At this point, you can do a few things: If the course is selected, the screen will display the FCE history of the course. Note: Team-taught courses will not have a course to select. In this case, you must select the instructor. If the faculty is selected, the screen will display the FCE history (all years) of the faculty member. The benefit of this page is the ability to export the displayed results using the excel icon in the upper left corner. But these results will not include comments. This page also has option to customize your results, if you wish to see only specific questions. As a default, all questions are displayed. To View Comments To see individual reports and comments, click on the bar graph icon A new screen will appear with three tabs at the top: on the far left for the faculty or course. 5 The custom report will display everything: scores, comments, graphs. To just see comments only, choose the red comments tab. This will display the comments for the currently viewed course and section. By changing the dropdown options, you can easily view all comments for all courses in your department across all semesters. The custom report and comments may be exported using the green excel icon of the results bar. found the in the upper left corner When choosing this option, the results may be saved as csv, html, xml, msoxml, excel XLS DOC or PDF format. 6 Once Export is chosen, the file is saved to Your Downloads folder on your computer or wherever your browser is directed to save files. For excel, it may ask if this is a trusted source. You can choose yes. To Download/Export PDFs Choose the semester and department you are interested in downloading. University Registrar s Office Page 6 of 8 5/15/2017

7 The pdf generator will created one, few or all of your instructor results. If you are interested in generating and downloading everyone in your department, choose the All option or select only instructors you are interested in downloading from the instructor list. Be sure to indicate to group the reports into one PDF file. When ready, choose me the selected reports option. You will receive one with all the checked instructors. School-Wide Results IMPORTANT: Opting this menu item will change your view access to instructor mode! Do not choose this option if you need to be in Department Head/Dean mode. Else, logout and log back in to return to Dept Head/Dean mode. School-wide results option displays all school results (with no comments) for all colleges or departments. It will default to your college initially. A dropdown exists to view other colleges or departments. University Registrar s Office Page 7 of 8 5/15/2017

8 EvalCenter Menu Option The EvalCenter will list your FCE courses by survey date. This option appears AFTER selecting School-Wide results. This page is primarily used to view YOUR response rate and survey during all of your deployment semesters. By choosing, the hyperlink on the far right under the See column, results will display with custom report scores, comments and individual evaluation tabs, etc. like above for YOUR courses. Questions?
