1 Withdrawal Announcement Hardware withdrawal: Selected IBM 3494, 3584, 3588, 3590, and 3592 tape device models and features Some replacements available Overview Effective June 16, 2006, or December 1, 2006, IBM will withdraw from marketing selected tape device machine types and selected model conversions, machine upgrades, and field-installed features. Orders received before June 16, 2006, or December 1, 2006, will be acknowledged on an as-available basis. On or after the effective dates of withdrawal, you can no longer order these products directly from IBM. You can obtain the products on an as-available basis through IBM Business Partners. Model conversions, machine upgrades, and field-installed features associated with the machine types but not listed in this announcement continue to be available.
