4 1.1 Warnings and recommendations 1 Introduction Before proceeding with the installation we recommend that you read the content of this manual very carefully. The warranty will automatically become void in case of negligence, improper use, and tampering by unauthorised personnel. The Sfera display Module must only be used with BTicino 2 wire digital systems. Devices of the BTicino Sfera series require attractive/functional finishes; BTicino proposes the Sfera New line in 3 colours and the Robur anti-vandal line. 7 3 Configuration using the keypad 3.1 Access to the Settings menu Sfera Display Module Installer manual A OK 1 Press and hold down the keys for more than 10 seconds Enter Password ***** The password gives the installer access to the settings menu. 10 3 Configuration using the keypad Address Book format Configuration Password Add Book Form Language Multiple call Tune setup Screen The display module gives the possibility of creating the residents address book in two different formats, Alphanumeric (name, surname, etc.) or Numeric BFA (Block, Floor, Apartment). This setting will define the procedure for entering the corresponding details and the search procedure used by visitors. 1 Using the keys select the Address book format menu 2 Press OK to confirm Add Book Form * Alphanumerical Numeric BFA 3 Using the keys select the mode and press OK to confirm. The format can only be changed if the address book does not contain any contacts. Add Book Form Block 1 Floor 2 Apartment 3 Select Numeric BFA mode to display another screen where it will be possible to set the number of digits for each field; the overall maximum number of digits is 8 4 Using the keys set the number of digits for the Block field and press OK to confirm 5 Repeat the procedure for the other fields NOTE: it is possible to change the length of the BFA fields if the address book is empty, otherwise the TiSferaDesign software must be used 10

This menu gives the possibility of changing the setup based on personal needs. 1 Using the keys select the Language menu 2 Press OK to confirm Language English Français * Italiano Portugues Deutsch Español 3 Using the keys select the desired language (the currently set language is marked with an asterisk) Language English Français * Italiano Portugues Deutsch Español 4 Press OK to confirm To exit the menu without changing the settings select and press OK to confirm 11
12 3 Configuration using the keypad Multiple Call Configuration Password Add Book Form Language Multiple call Tune setup Screen In the basic setup, the Display is preset to prevent call repetition (ringing of the handset). On the other hand, this function gives the possibility of setting the number of call repetitions if the call is not answered; calls are repeated every 10 seconds. 1 Using the keys select the Multiple Call menu 2 Press OK to confirm Multiple call * OFF ON 1 ON 2 ON 3 ON 4 3 Using the keys select the number of call repetitions if there is no answer (the number of repetitions currently set is marked by an asterisk) Multiple call OFF ON 1 * ON 2 ON 3 ON 4 4 Press OK to confirm (E.g. if there is no answer to the first call, this will be automatically repeated two more times) 12

23 Sfera Display Module Residents can be entered in two ways. The procedure depends on the previous setup (see the Address book Format section); the following paragraphs describe both procedures. Installer manual 3.5 Address book Alphanumeric mode Address book Modify Enter Delete contact Delete all The address book menu gives the possibility of entering new contacts, as well as to modify or deleting existing ones. In Alphanumeric mode, for each resident the following details can be entered: Name Surname Description Logic code Door lock code Address (Max. 16 characters) (Max. 16 characters) Field used to enter a short message that will appear when a call is made (e.g. a welcome message, or the office opening hours). (Max. 16 characters) Numeric code for direct resident call, without the need for consulting the address book (Max. 16 characters) Numeric code used by the resident to open the door lock associated to the entrance panel. (4 to 9 characters) This function is only possible with entrance panels featuring a keypad Module. Physical SCS address of the handset 23

35 4 Configuration using the software 4.1 The TiSferaDesign software Sfera Display Module All the configurations can be performed using the TiSferaDesign software supplied with the device Software configuration is highly recommended as it simplifies and speeds up the whole procedure. It also gives the possibility of saving on the PC all the configuration data and the residents address book for later updates or Modifytions. Installer manual 4.2 Connection to the PC To transfer the configuration performed using the TiSferaDesign software, or to update the firmware, connect the Sfera display Module to the PC using a USB-miniUSB cable. miniusb - USB When updating the software the device must be powered. The Sfera display Module connected through a USB cable is recognised by the PC as a virtual port (VIRTUAL COM); the TiSferaDesign software automatically recognises its address. 35
