4 November 1: Evidence.com October 2017 Release The Evidence.com October release was postponed until November 1, 2017 to avoid conflicts with the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) annual conference. Signal Configuration for Axon Signal Sidearm This change adds support for Axon Signal Sidearm devices by adding Signal Sidearm activation settings to the Signal Configuration page in Evidence.com. When the setting is turned on, Axon Body Worn and Fleet cameras within broadcast range begin recording when a Signal Sidearm device sends an alert. The following images show the Signal Sidearm section of the Evidence.com Signal Configuration page. The first image shows the Signal Sidearm settings and the second image shows how the settings appear while a user is editing the settings. Axon Enterprise, Inc. Page 4 of 11

5 User Sign In Update As part of the improvement to agency sign in experience, we've added a change that allows agency users to enter their username or address when signing in to their Evidence.com account. This change should reduce confusion during the sign in process and avoid making users request their username. In addition, the agency audit log will indicate what method (username or address) was used when signing in. This update does not impact agencies that use Single Sign-On (SSO) functionality. Evidence Detail Page Update This update adds a second location for viewing and updating Category information on the Evidence Detail page. In addition to the Category area on the right side of the page, Categories can be updated using the same edit workflow used for evidence Title and ID information. This change makes it easier for users to add category information while they are updating the title or ID of uploaded evidence. Axon Enterprise, Inc. Page 5 of 11

6 Body Camera Settings Update After extensive testing, we are excited to announce full availability of extended Pre-Event Buffering settings. With the Evidence.com October release, you can go to the Body Camera Settings page and take advantage of the extended Pre-Event Buffering settings. 7 Reminder: End of Support for TLS 1.0 and 1.1 To align with security best practices, we will disable access to Evidence.com over Transport Layer Security (TLS) 1.0 and 1.1 in December This change will not be noticeable to most users since they are already using clients that support TLS 1.2. If you are accessing our APIs, you must verify that your API client supports TLS 1.2 and has it enabled. For more information about TLS and the potential impacts of this change, please see our Help Center article. Reminder: End of Support for Internet Explorer 10 Last year Microsoft announced that it would support only the most current version of Internet Explorer available for their supported operating systems and will no longer provide security updates or technical support for older versions of Internet Explorer. Since regular security updates are vital for protecting systems from malicious attacks, Evidence.com no longer supports Internet Explorer 10 (IE 10) as of the July 2017 release of Evidence.com. Starting in December, you will no longer be able to sign in to Evidence.com using IE 10. Issues Resolved in Evidence.com October 2017 We resolved the following issues in this Evidence.com release: Access List: When adding users to an Inside My Agency access list, an external user could be added to the list using their if evidence had previously been shared with the external user. This also caused an error when users subsequently tried to go to the access list for the evidence. User Audit Trail: Re-inviting a user to join an account was not being recorded in the User Audit Trail. Agency Audit Trail: Changes to the Mandatory Prompt setting on the Agency Profile - Edit Login Agreement page were not being recorded in the Agency Audit Trail. Agency Audit Trail: Changes to an agency's Single Sign-on settings were not being recorded in the Agency Audit Trail. Axon Enterprise, Inc. Page 7 of 11

8 Upcoming Evidence.com Release Schedule The November and December Evidence.com releases are being combined into one release scheduled for December 12, This was done in order to avoid making updates to Evidence.com on the weeks of the US Thanksgiving holiday and the year-end holidays in December. In January 2018, we will resume releasing Evidence.com on the fourth Tuesday of the month. The January 2018 Evidence.com release is scheduled for January 23, Note: Release dates for some customers in the United Kingdom occur one week after the scheduled release date. The first release of 2018 for these customers is planned for January Evidence Sync Updates Evidence Sync will receive an update starting in late-october and through the beginning of November with the following changes: True Single Sign-on (SSO) support Evidence Sync now recognizes when users login to their desktop using their SSO credentials will automatically sign in user to Evidence Sync when the application is started. Allow users to upload CEW.tmd files to Axon for diagnostic purposes. Axon View for Android Update Axon View for Android will receive an update in early November with the following changes: We've added a confirmation dialog when a user selects the Forget Current Camera setting to prevent inadvertent un-pairing of the camera and Axon View. Updated the camera settings description text to match the text used in other Axon products. The following text was changed: o o Haptic Feedback changed to Vibration Camera Volume changed to Volume Axon Enterprise, Inc. Page 8 of 11

9 Corrected an error that when Axon View was running in the background on a mobile device, it did not automatically reconnect when a previously paired camera was turned on. This resulted in GPS coordinates not being recorded. Axon Capture for Android Updates Axon Capture for Android will receive an update in early November with the following changes: Updated evidence list to make it easier to see key information and/or missing information Miscellaneous bug fixes Axon Capture for ios Updates Axon Capture for ios will receive an update in early November with the following changes: We've added the ability to set multiple categories for a piece of evidence We've added Regular Expression (regex) validation for the evidence ID Miscellaneous bug fixes Coming Soon This section provides advanced notice about major upcoming features, updates, and applications that might require new or updated agency processes. Redaction Studio We are excited to announce our upcoming Redaction Studio, our new dedicated redaction tool in Evidence.com. Redaction Studio redesigns our current the redaction tools to be easier to use and less error prone, making them more powerful and accurate. Redaction Studio includes options for manual redaction, real-time object-tracking redaction, and audio redaction. Redaction Studio will be supported on Internet Explorer 11 on Windows 8.1+ platforms, Microsoft Edge, Firefox, Chrome, and Safari browsers. Axon Enterprise, Inc. Page 9 of 11

10 With the new real-time object-tracking redaction, users can add object-tracker masks to a video and immediately playback the video to view the results of the tracker, while the system is processing the results. If, during playback, the object-tracker mask does not cover the intended subject, the user can stop the video and easily re-position the mask to enhance the object-tracker mask processing. This allows the user to always be working on the final project and improves the overall accuracy of the object-tracking processing. We will be demonstrating the new Redaction Studio at the IACP annual conference, October Be sure to stop by our booth for a preview. We will begin Redaction Studio trials with multiple customers in November and expect to roll it out to all customers during the month of December. We will provide more information about availability for your agency as we get closer to the rollout dates Access List Support for Groups Later this year, we will expand Evidence Access List functionality to include support for Groups. This update will allow a Group to be added to an Access List using the same Manage Access workflow as individual users. This will reduce the number of individual users that have to be added to or removed from an evidence Access List. In addition, if Group Members are added to or removed from the Group, those individuals will gain or lose access to Group evidence. The change includes an updated Group Search page that uses the same search interface as Evidence Search. It also includes supporting changes to the current Group creation workflow. By default, no changes will be made to existing Group settings, so all Groups will remain Monitor-only Groups. Administrators will have to enable an access option for a Group to appear in the Manage Access - Add to Access List field. View XL Support for Axon Body Worn Cameras We will be adding support in the Axon View XL application for Axon body worn cameras. This update allows a mobile data terminal (MDT) or mobile digital computer (MDC) with the Axon View XL application to provide the same functionality for Axon Body 2 and Flex 2 cameras as the Axon View mobile application, eliminating the need for officers to use both. Axon View XL will provide officers with the ability to tag videos recorded by Axon Fleet and body worn cameras from a given incident with the same data. While Axon View XL was primarily developed to control Axon Fleet cameras, the added integration with Axon body worn cameras allows View XL to be used with most MDTs as an alternative to the Axon View mobile application. 11 Agency Sign In Experience Update In the coming months, we will begin to update the user Sign In experience for Evidence.com. Our first update, allowing users to sign in with their username or , was announced this month. The updates are intended to reduce confusion and streamline the experience when users have trouble signing in to their agency account on Evidence.com. We will provide more information as we get closer to rollout date. While there may be some changes to the experience, agencies that have integrated with Active Directory will be able to continue to use Single Sign-on (SSO). Announcing End of Support for Evidence Sync Third-Party File Uploader At the beginning of 2018, Axon will launch a new, standalone desktop application to replace the third-party file uploader in Evidence Sync. This application will greatly improve the user's ability to quickly triage and upload third-party files, such as crime scene photos, in-car video, and documents, into Evidence.com. If your agency is interested in beta testing and providing feedback on this new application or giving feedback on the current file uploader experience, please contact your Axon account manager or add your information here.
