TR Format of the file 1.1 All files must be PDF Microsoft Word or Adobe Illustrator artwork is not an acceptable delivery format. Scanned pages or flattened as JPEG images cannot be processed too. 1.2 Archives containing PDF can be managed.zip,.tar.gz or.bz archive format are accepted..rar archives files are NOT usable. 1.3 All files must conform to the naming format defined This format will be <name_of_the_publication>_<publication_date>_<removal_date>_<issue_number>.pdf. All dates in the name must be in the form YYYYMMDD: full year, month and day of month on 2 symbols, zero padded. Text and images 3.1 All raster images in the file must be in 150 dpi resolution The resolution must never be below 96 dpi, nor above 300 dpi. 3.2 The colour space must be RGB Any reference to CMYK must be avoided: the aspect may be slightly altered by the final devices. Black & white and gray scales are acceptable. 3.3 The JPEG compression should be set between 70% and 85% Any raster image must be provided in JPEG-JFIF (Jpeg File Interchange Format) lossy compression. Never use lossless BMP, PNG, GIF, WebP format, or esoteric lossy compression as JPEG-JBIG2 or JPEG-XR. The compression scale between 70% and 85% is the best compromise between eye pleasant rendering and weight. 3.4 Crossover images must match across the gutter Avoid doubling of images for gutter allowance. Also, check again your page margin properties. 3.5 A page map is requested A page map, if available, is requested for page sequencing and quality assurance purpose. 3.6 All texts are truly text and not images The texts must be able to be selected and searched. Rasterized texts are usually too heavy. 3.7 The texts and the fonts must use Unicode encodings. Check that you don't send an esoteric encoding as Mac-Roman, Windows CP, or obsolete as ISO
