1 Announcement , dated June 9, 2009 Software withdrawal: Selected InfoSphere Editions and features - Some replacements available Table of contents 1 Overview 4 Technical support 1 Description Overview Effective on the dates listed below, IBM will withdraw from marketing, selected part numbers from the following product release(s) licensed under the IBM International Program License Agreement: Program VRM Withdrawal Program release name number from marketing date 5724-E /25/09 IBM InfoSphere 5724-E /25/09 IBM InfoSphere V9.5.2 Replacement information Replacement products Customers that purchased InfoSphere Starter Edition or InfoSphere Edition will be entitled to receive InfoSphere Departmental Base Edition under the Software Maintenance or Software Subscription and Support terms of the customer's IBM International Passport Advantage Agreement. Customers that purchased InfoSphere Advanced Edition will be entitled to receive InfoSphere Enterprise Edition under the Software Maintenance or Software Subscription and Support terms of the customer's IBM International Passport Advantage Agreement. InfoSphere Enterprise Edition already includes the functionality that was provided by the optional Alphablox Add-in and Non-InfoSphere Connectors features for InfoSphere Advanced Edition. Description With the introduction of IBM InfoSphere 9.7, IBM introduced two new product editions designed to meet the warehousing needs of small organizations and business departments. These new editions are called Departmental Base Edition and Departmental Edition. With the introduction of these new editions, effective 08/25/09, IBM will withdraw from marketing the following products licensed under the IBM International Program License Agreement. A replacement product and availability date is listed if one is available.
