Such high usage has kept nighttime pedestrian injury and death rates in the 30% range, which is less than half of that in Canada and the U.S. STANDARD OF REFLECTIVITY In Canada and the U.S., there are no standards for visibility accessories for non-professional use. This means that manufacturers can produce low quality reflectors without having to let the consumer know about their reflective luminosity.
