6 Introduction SIMU brand For over 50 years, SIMU has been designing, manufacturing and distributing to assemblers/manufacturers, reliable and tested solutions for an effective control of roller shutters, awnings, metal grills and curtains. With more than m 2 space, the industrial site of Gray, France, has been certified ISO 9001 since Thousand of tubular, central and exterior motors are manufactured there everyday, to reach approximately one million pieces a year. To control this production, Simu has implemented a high quality level, from the product development until its launching: - FMEA products and processes, - Supplier Quality Assurance, - Continuous improvement based on the analysis of customer claims. 6

7 Introduction To guarantee the compliance with the international standards (NF, VDE, IMQ, KEMA, CEBEC ), SIMU has implemented a test laboratory in order to subject motors to the strongest efforts. The first mission of the test laboratory, which is fully integrated into the research and development, the industrialization process and equipped with numerous test benches and tools, is to qualify new products or modified products. 7

9 Introduction Since 1987, SIMU is registered under the number by the Direction Régionale du Travail. Therefore, SIMU can propose trainings of a commercial and technical nature to professional. The SIMU CENTER is resolutely dedicated to the training on closure and solar protection works. Each training is followed up with: - Training agreement, - Application form, - Training certificate for trainees, - Estimation of the customer s satisfaction, - Complete training document. 9

10 Introduction The premises 300 m 2 building divided into 3 different parts : SIMU Center training tool RECEPTION space - Work and exchange room (capacity 40 people), - Multimedia space, - Products and company information. DISPLAY/DEMONSTRATION space - End products panels (for window and commercial access markets), - Model of products range, - General documentation. TRAINING space - 1 training workshop: Motors and equipments for roller shutter and awnings, - 1 training workshop: Motors and equipments dedicated to the commercial access, - capacity: 2 x 5 people (per workshop), - more than 50 training panels. 10

22 How to attend a training in SIMU CENTER General conditions of training In addition of the applicationform, a training agreement is always drawn up between SIMU and the customer, in order to formalize the training conditions. When a late cancellation is done, SIMU CENTER is entitled to invoice a part of the training costs initially planned.
