13 Completing the POP Records Candidate nominates a Supervisor who will: Be professionally competent and know the candidate Hold an approved full professional qualification such as: MCIAT, ARB, RIBA, F/MCIOB, F/MRICS, MICE Ideally be senior to the candidate and help gain experience required Candidates can nominate more than one Supervisor
14 The Knowledge Unrecognised or unmapped qualification : No exemption for Underpinning Knowledge Completed HNC/D : Partial exemption for Underpinning Knowledge, dependant on modules Accredited CIAT Architectural Technology Honours degree : Exemption for Underpinning Knowledge units: TCIAT 1 9 (from 11) MCIAT 1-14 (from 17)
15 Completing the Knowledge Demonstrate your knowledge and understanding Outline where and how you have built up your base of knowledge: CPD/training courses Manuals/literature Reflective practice Your Supervisor may choose to use questions, case studies and simulation to assess your knowledge
16 Completing the Performance The objective is not to assemble a hard copy of evidence Under the detail and location sections of each performance unit the following should be recorded: The name of project/s being used How it satisfies/demonstrates competences Where the evidence is located Once satisfied with evidence and information, Supervisor(s) should sign the Knowledge and Performance Portfolio
17 Your completed POP Record Candidate returns the Knowledge and Performance Portfolio to CIAT with the assessment fee and CV Candidate asked to submit some units for assessment Standard submission for MCIAT is five units Standard submission for TCIAT is five units Submit the requested units for assessment CIAT organises a POP Panel to assess evidence The Panel assesses Pass/defer/refer

Submit units for assessment On successful completion of the Technician POP Record, the candidate will be awarded TCIAT On successful completion of the Technologist POP Record, the candidate will be invited to the Professional Practice Interview
