The socket of removed modules has the type of protection IP30. that the CPU module, Power module and the socket are to be cleaned only with a damp cloth. 2 Function/Characteristics The CPU module (CPU) functions as a gateway between the internal bus of a IS1 field station and the explosion-protected (Ex op is) Ethernet Modbus TCP. The Power Module (PM) has a power supply unit for intrinsically safe power supply of the CPU module and up to 8 I/O modules incl. the connected field devices. The supply and communication of the I/O modules is carried out via the BusRail. The electronics is flameproof encapsulated and connected to the socket by means of plug connections Ex d and Ex i. Use of a special mechanism allows both the CPU module (intrinsically safe supply) and the Power module to be replaced during operation in Zone 1. 3 Engineering Assembly and Installation The national installation instructions (e.g. IEC/EN ) must be observed. Intrinsically-safe and non-intrinsically safe circuits must not be used in a common cable duct! Ensure that there is a distance of at least 50 mm between connection facilities of intrinsically-safe and non-intrinsically safe circuits! The module is intended for IS 1 field stations and can be installed in hazardous areas of Zone 1/Division 1, Zone 2/Division 2, Zone 21 or Zone 22. Operation of the module is permitted only in vertical position: assembly direction top The national installation instructions (e.g. IEC/EN ) must be observed. Intrinsically-safe and non-intrinsically safe circuits must not be used in a common cable duct! Ensure that there is a distance of at least 50 mm between connection facilities of intrinsically-safe and non-intrinsically safe circuits! Connect or disconnect the power supply (8) connecting cable only if it's de-energised! Socket Assembly Operation of the module is permitted only in the following assembly position: Socket - vertically, LCD display - bottom. The socket must be assembled on an even surface, for example on a mounting plate. Further installation conditions see chapter "Layout and Design" and "Technical Data" E00 For installation in hazardous areas the module must be installed into an enclosure that meets all the requirements of a recognised type of protection according to IEC/EN (e.g. R. STAHL Type 8126). All connections can be operated only with components approved by R. STAHL Schaltgeräte GmbH for the corresponding connection. Air circulation around the CPU and Power module must not be hindered by additional fitted components! The distance between the CPU & power module and enclosure must be minimum 20 mm! The socket and the DIN-rail of the BusRail should be screwed down directly to a mounting plate at least 2 mm thick without using any distance sleeves. 4 Assembly/Replacement of Power Module and CPU Module Do not damage the fibre optic cable of the CPU Module! Replacement of live Power module and CPU module is also permitted in Zone 1 (hot swap). (9) (11) (12) (14) (8) BusRail Assembly For assembly in hazardous areas or operation with explosion-protected equipment the DIN-rail must be connected to the equipotential bonding of the explosion-protected area. The end of a BusRail segment must terminated by a BusRail-termination, BusRail extension of type 9494/A1-E0 or BusRail extension of type 9494/L1-V. The BusRail can be connected either to terminal X5 or to terminal X6. Parallel operation of the BusRail at terminals X5 and X6 is not possible. Connection of the BusRail can be carried out either directly or by means of a connecting cable (type 9494/ L1-V). For direct BusRail connection to the socket both BusRail 9494/S1-M4 (4 modules) and BusRail 9494/S1-B2 (2 modules) can be used. Further information on BusRail assembly see Operating Instructions of the BusRail. To assemble the BusRail directly: (16) (15) 12334E00 To assemble the Power module: Move the red slider (14) into position "1". Insert the Power module (9) vertically into the slot until it engages. Tighten the mounting screws of the module by means of a screwdriver (torx, size 3) (tightening torque: 2.6 Nm). To replace the Power module: Loosen the mounting screws of the module by means of a screwdriver (torx, size 3). Move the red slider (14) into position "2" and pull the Power module out of the socket up to the intermediate position. Move the red slider (14) into position "3" and pull the Power module vertically out of the socket. To assemble the CPU module: Insert the CPU Module (11) vertically into the slot of the socket. Tighten the mounting screws of the module by means of a screwdriver (torx, size 3) (tightening torque: 2.6 Nm). To replace the CPU module: Pull out the plug of the fibre optic cable at the bushing. Loosen the mounting screws of the module by means of a screwdriver (torx, size 3). Pull the CPU module vertically out of the socket. Insert the new CPU module vertically into the slot of the socket. Tighten the mounting screws of the module by means of a screwdriver (torx, size 3) (tightening torque: 2.6 Nm). Insert the plug of the fibre optic cable at the bushing. (16) (15) 12335E00 Slacken the terminal screw (15) of the terminal (X5 or X6) and remove the terminal cover (16). (17) (18) (19) (19) (20) 12336E00 Insert the DIN-rail (17) into the terminal (X5 or X6) and screw down to the mounting plate (tightening torque: 2.6 Nm). 5 Clip the earthing clamp (19) onto the DIN-rail. Place the I/O-module at the first slot in order to control the position of the BusRail towards the socket. The BusRail has engaged correctly if the I/O module rests directly on the socket. If necessary, loosen the earthing clamps (19), adjust the BusRail position and clip the earthing clamps again onto the DIN-rail. Tighten the terminal screw (15) of the terminal (X5 or X6) (tightening torque 2 Nm). Assemble the BusRail termination (20) at the end of the BusRail part. BusRail Assembly via Connecting Cable (Type 9494/L1-V): (16) (15) Connection of the CPU & Power Module The national installation instructions (e.g. IEC/EN ) must be observed. Intrinsically-safe and non-intrinsically safe circuits must not be used in a common cable duct! Ensure that there is a distance of at least 50 mm between connection facilities of intrinsically-safe and non-intrinsically safe circuits! Connect or disconnect the power supply (8) connecting cable only if it's de-energised! Protective caps of the LC-connector and LC-bushing can be removed only directly before removing the plug in order to avoid soiling of the fibre endings! Connecting fibre optic cable: B (16) (15) 12335E00 Slacken the terminal screw (15) of the terminal (X5 or X6) and remove the terminal cover (16). (23) A 12331E00 Remove protective cover of the plug and bushing. Insert the plug of the fibre optic cable into the bushing so that it engages. Lay the fibre optic cables in such a way that minimum bending radii (< 30 mm static, < 60 mm dynamic) are reached and it is protected against tensile strain and abrasion. Power Supply Connection: In case of installation in Zone 1 / 2 connecting cable can be connected only to the Ex e terminals according to IEC/EN Observe connection instructions of the terminal manufacturer. Place the termination beginning (22) of the connecting cable onto the DIN-rail and carefully push to the terminal. Tighten the terminal screw (23) (tightening torque: 2 Nm). Tighten the terminal screw (15) of the terminal (X5 or X6) (tightening torque: 2 Nm). Connect the termination end (25) of connecting cable to the BusRail (26). 6 Parameterisation and Commissioning Parameterisation and commissioning of the CPU is carried out using the IS1 DeviceDTM. The buttons in the socket can be used on the display - to indicate diagnosis data of the CPU module, - to define the communication address of the CPU module and - indicate data of the CPU Module and I/O-modules installed on the BusRail. Changes of the IP address and subnet mask can lead to communication loss via Ethernet. Changes of communication addresses have an immediate effect on system behaviour and can lead to system malfunction. Changes of communication addresses can be carried out only by qualified and authorised service personnel. All plugged-in modules are identified regardless of whether they are configured or not. 8 Changing Communication Addresses of the CPU & Power Module Changes of the IP address, subnet mask and Default gateway can lead to communication loss via Ethernet. Changes of communication addresses have an immediate effect on system behaviour and can lead to system malfunction. Changes of communication addresses can be carried out only by qualified and authorised service personnel. Changed communication addresses are active immediately after they have been modified. They are saved in the non-volatile memory and are also available after reset or recommissioning. The submenu for address settings can be accessed if the Ethernet CPU is not in the Data exchange mode. If the CPU switches to Data exchange mode while the submenu is opened, the submenu will be closed. 9 Changing Default gateway Setup of the default gateway is required to enable access to the CPU from another Ethernet networks. Without Default gateway the CPU responses only to telegrams from its internal network addresses defined by the IP-address and the subnet mask. The Default gateway must be in the same network as the CPU. On delivery no Default gateway is defined. Before defining the Default gateway initial value and the subnet mask are determined on the basis of the IP-address. This initial value must be adjusted to the Default gateway of the system. Press "enter" twice to switch from the System level to the Information/Service level. For the modules AOMH 9461, AOMH 9466 and TIM R 9480 there are additional menu items (see "Analog Modules with HART" and "Temperature Input Modules"). Maintenance and Servicing The module is maintenance-free. Observe the function according to designated use. Transport and Storage Transport and storage are permitted only in the original packaging. Disposal The diagnostic data is held in the RAM during operation. Every 24 hours and in case of serious errors, the diagnostic data is backed up from the RAM to a flash memory. Backed-up diagnostic data is also available after reset or restart. If a CPU module is to be disconnected from the mains, without resulting in data loss, it must be backed up manually. CPU 0-0:saveDiag CPU 0-0:saveDiag saving... Before operating in the inside of the enclosure ensure that no electrostatic discharge is going to occur. Therefore, before operating in the inside of the enclosure touch the enclosure in order to let possible electrostatic energy discharge. Off Off Off No supply voltage at the Power module available or defective Power module. CPU Module The LED "LINK" indicates the Link status of the Ethernet connection. The LEDs "RUN" and "ERR" indicate the operating statuses of the CPU module. The LED "LINK" is independent from the LEDs "RUN" and "ERR". The module to the manufacturer for check/ repair Check the power supply of the Power module. Check the Power module. Replace the Power module. LED green "LINK" Status Description On Link available The LED "Link" indicates whether there is a connection between the CPU and the next Ethernet node (switch, router,...). No statement can be made whether the connection to the AS is functioning. Blinks Link available Data exchange via Ethernet is present The LED "Link" indicates the telegrams being received and sent. Conclusions on, whether the CPU receives valid telegrams at its IP address are not possible. Off no link available No supply voltage at the CPU module is available or failure to establish connection to the next Ethernet participant. LED green "RUN" LED red "ERR" Module Status Description Blinks Blinks The CPU module boots. The firmware starts. The blinking stops after the booting procedure. If the LEDs are blinking constantly, there may be problems in the initialisation file or there is no firmware file available. Blinks Off no DataExchange The firmware has been started but there are no configuration data available yet. In order to start the CPU configuration has to be downloaded via the DTM. Blinks alternately DataExchange with AS is quit There are valid configuration data available. The CPU can switch to DataExchange with AS. On Off DataExchange with AS The CPU is in DataExchange with AS. There are no summary alarms of the module available. However, signal alarms may be available. They are indicated on the module resp. in the LCD indication. On Blinks DataExchange with AS The CPU is in DataExchange with AS. There is a summary alarm of the module. Configuration is not correct or a false module is connected. Blinks On Configuration or parameter fault Configuration fault can be eliminated only by download. Off On Hardware fault CPU The CPU module is defective and must be replaced. Off Off Off No supply voltage at the CPU module or defective CPU module.
