6 Handheld wireless credential reader The handheld reader verifies credentials by wirelessly communicating with a live database through the reader's base unit. The handheld unit can control a relay for functions such as opening doors or gates, or triggering possible duress notifications. Choose a single reader kit, 2-reader kit, or the gate-selection reader with a 2-Wiegand output base unit. See credential technologies, page 11. 7 DataBender converter CVX-1300 DataBender converters allow integration of new or nontraditional devices with existing or traditional devices. The Multi-Format DataBender enables dozens of field-selectable conversions. Custom DataBenders are also available. 8 READER Wiegand Splitters The Passive Wiegand Splitter connects 2 readers with one panel using the same Wiegand port. OPTW PANEL READER (Single Wiegand Port) CVX-OPTW It can connect 1 reader with 2 panels sharing the same data. READER OPTW PANEL CVX-OPTS PANEL It can also be used between devices with different voltage levels.
