4 PANEL SELECTION GUIDE STOCK CONNECTRIX PANELS & CONFIGURATIONS STOCK CONNECTRIX POCKET PANELS (#MP-100, #PNL-100, #PNL-120, and #PNL-140 SERIES) Standard Pocket Panels are created from high strength aluminum alloy (6061-T6) that is.062 thick. Each standard pocket panel is finished with electro-static applied, oven-cured black semi-gloss powder coat. Engraving pocket panels is fast and easy using a separate dedicated CNC engraving machine. The finished panels show bright aluminum in the engraved characters and need not be back filled. ACE standard panels are flat, strong, and rigid. Because the panels are machined and not punched they stay flat and undistorted unlike punched panels which distort in the punching process. All ACE panels will mount separately or in combination in Mini, Half, Full, Double Wide, Super, and Super Double Wide Pockets. The machined CONNECTRIX style cutouts combine the popular mounting pattern of the Neutrik D and Switchcraft E series connectors with a generous rectangular cutout that mates with a growing array of adapter-mounted standard connectors. Using the CONNECTRIX system panels it is possible to mount any combination of modular jacks (RJ45, RJ11 etc.), BNC s, dual RCA s, mic jacks, speaker jacks, and numerous other standard connectors without a single custom punch. 5 STANDARD POCKET DETAILS & FEATURES STANDARD VERTICAL SLANT PANEL POCKET FEATURES STANDARD POCKET DESCRIPTION The Full, Half, Double Wide, and Mini Stage Pockets are all vertical slant panel flush stage pockets made of heavy duty steel. The pockets may be used to conceal audio, communications, control, data, electric AC power, switches, video, and voice connections etc. below the floor surface for easy access and to prevent connector damage. Standard Stage Pockets are available in various capacities and feature an interchangeable panel system which permits easy custom connector/panel configurations. Half Stage Pocket #123SLBK Installed *Half Pocket shown with optional #PNL-106 CONNECTRIX Panel loaded with (6) CONNECTRIX connectors (left) and (right) shown installed in-floor appearance DURABLE CONSTRUCTION Welded steel construction of Standard Stage Pocket Lids, Mounting Flanges, and Pocket Bodies resist bending under even the most severe stage loads. The Lid and Mounting Flange is made from 1/8 (nominally 11 ga. (.120 )) thick CRS steel while the Pocket Body is made from 16 ga. (.062 ) thick CRS steel. SPRING LOADED HINGE PINS Removable spring loaded hinge pins permit easy exchange of lids for Carpet Lid (#CL), Locking Lid (#LL), Standard Lid (#SL) and other custom application lids. Double Wide Stage Pocket #124SLCV CABLE WAY SLOTS Generous 3/8 x 4 /8 /16 Cable Way Slots permit easy cable exit from pocket(s), even for large gauge cables. A Cable Way Slot Closure closes the slot when not in use. EASY INSTALLATION Easy installation into square or rectangular cutout in stage floor. Open easy access from the top or back of the stage pocket allows simple connector/panel and device terminations. DECORATOR FINISHES Standard Stage Pockets are available with a scratch/wear resistant finish. Oven cured powder coat applied inside and outside the entire Standard Stage Pocket. Decorator neutral Antique Copper Vein and Textured Black finishes are standard. Solid Brass and Solid Stainless Steel Lids and Mounting Flanges with brushed finishes are also available by special order. The #PE (single gang box) and the #FP3E (three gang box) Electric Panels provide for one or three standard duplex outlets, respectively. These items are UL listed in conjunction with UL listed ACE pockets. When properly installed with isolating AC wiring conduit, combining low voltage connections in the same pocket should not be an issue. Consult your local building codes for any specific application. Each assembly is complete with single duplex or Stock Standard Electric Panels triple duplex switch box, black powder-coated steel mounting plate, and a narrow aluminum and/or steel black powder-coated cover plate with mounting screws. 16 BACK ACCESS COVERS & BRACKET KITS BACK ACCESS COVERS (BAC) BACK ACCESS COVERS (#BAC) The #22BAC, #23BAC and #24BAC are closures for the back access opening on the ACE Full Pockets, Half Pockets, and Double Wide Pockets, respectively. The BAC provides 1/2 and 3/4 combination conduit knock-outs for easy conduit terminations. Use the BAC with Half, Full, or Double Wide Pocket installations requiring wiring closure (larger ACE #BBX Series Back Boxes, #PE, and, #FP3E Electric Panels cannot be used with the BAC). The BAC is easy to install onto the Half, Full, or Double Wide Pocket body and permits many options in a typical installation sequence. The BAC is precision formed to slide onto the back access opening of the pocket body. During rough-in the BAC may be connected to the combination knock outs, 1/2 or 3/4, with flex conduit and temporarily left tacked to the floor joist approximately where the pocket is to be installed. All wire can then be pulled and low voltage terminations to various connectors completed and ready for final installation into the pocket. The box and cover have a clear zinc corrosion resistant finish. A 1/2 mounting flange is predrilled to mate with the pocket body flange. The pocket body assembly is 4.5 deep and the back box is 6 deep providing a 1.5 work clearance in the bottom of the back box (ideal for feed thru or distribution junction). ALUMINUM ALLOY SHEET Aluminum alloy sheet stock can be cut, black powder coated and engraved for almost any panel requirement. This alloy (6061-T6) is very ridged and flat and stocked in 1/16 and 1/8 thickness. Smaller panels are typically made from 1/16 aluminum. Larger panels (e.g. rack panels) are cut from 1/8 aluminum. Other thickness are available on a custom order basis. Currently the CONNECTRIX system pocket panels, rack panels, and wall panels are fabricated from this tough aluminum alloy. ACRYLIC SHEET Acrylic sheet stock is an excellent panel material. At 3/16 thick it is very flat and ridged, ideal for mounting large multi-pin connectors that require a heavy push/pull for engagement. It provides electrical isolation for connectors with grounded shells typical of many audio and video applications. CNC ROTARY PANEL ENGAVING & ROUTING MACHINES Ace Backstage Co., Inc. s CNC Rotary Panel Routing and Engraving machines produce custom cut panels from a number of different materials, including aluminum, acrylic, and plastic laminate sheets. The router (foreground) can machine custom panels from 1/16 and 1/8 thick aluminum. Panels are precision cut and engraved to your exact specifications from a variety of materials on precision CNC rotary cutting machines. Computer Assisted Drafting (CAD) systems feed data to the machines that define your panel cuts accurate ±.001. Panels and parts with identical material requirements are ganged together into a single production run. Aluminum, acrylic, and plastic laminate material panels are completely cut and engraved in a single set-up and production run for the fastest turn around time possible. The Aluminum panels, after cutting, are prepared for powder coating and thereafter sent to the engraving router. Lead times are generally much shorter for acrylic and plastic laminate because they are completed in a single fabrication event, and no further surface finishing is required. Aluminum requires additional time to powder coat and engrave. Cut, engraved, back filled and painted panel blanks are sent to the assembly bench and populated with the specified connectors, switches, devices, etc. The final completed panel is carefully inspected and checked twice before packaging for shipment. The up-down movements (pitch) is accomplished by pivoting the microphone up or down at the clip pivot. The rack mount ears are manufactured using 16 gauge steel. These rack mount ears will work on a variety of Mackie mixers, including the following model series: #1202-VLZ3, #1402-VLZ3, and #1642-VLZ3. MACKIE MIXER RACK MOUNT EARS INSTALL MACKIE Rack Mount Ear Kits attach to the mixer using (4) existing chassi screws found at the corners of the mixer. The rack mount ears when properly installed permit the mixer to mount into standard EIA rack rails. Follow the steps listed below for compete installation. The pan lip may be assembled at the front or rear and in the up or down position for rigid support where needed. This kit provides a positive solid attachment of the deck to standard EIA rack rails.
