Preface PL-010A 1/1 This book is a manual for describing the method of operating this machine, and for operating safely and correctly. Be sure to read this manual before using this machine. And then use this machine after understanding this operation method enough. In the case of using it without following the detail of this manual, the serious accident, malfunction and the size error of product, etc might be occurred. Therefore pay attention to them. Warning This machine is manufactured considering safety enough. However, when using this machine incorrectly, serious accident, malfunction and the size error of product, etc might be occurred. As for the operator and the person in charge of handling of this machine, read this book well before operating or maintaining this machine. All persons who handle this machine should regularly read this book with keeping as a handbook. 1. Do not use this machine until understanding the description of this machine completely. 2. Keep this book at hand always. Moreover, read especially repeatedly for Warning, Caution, and Importance, and confirm the content. 3. When losing or damaging this book, order to KSK or the sales service shop of KSK soon. 4. When this machine is transferred, transfer it to the next owner with appending this book without fail. 5. Interpret the objects which are not written as meaning possible in this manual especially as impossible. 1

Guide of safety PL-020A 1/1 Many accidents are occurred due to operation, check, and maintenance, which are not observed a basic safety rule. Read all the prevention methods and notes in this book well without fail before handling this machine. Never handle this machine before the detail of this manual is surely acquired. To have safety understood correctly, the expressions to safety are united, and the safety symbols are also indicated with deciding them in this book. Those contents are as below. Warning It is used for message and indication label as for the part where might cause the serious injury or serious accident by malfunction and the size error of product unless it is avoided. Caution It is used for message and indication label as for the part where might cause the slight injury or damaged machine and the size error of product unless it is avoided. Moreover, it is also used in the case of paying attention to a dangerous performance. Importance It is used for a basic observation matter of legal control etc which should observe naturally. 2

Operation procedure PL-200C 2/2 Caution 1. Be sure to confirm whether the cable is correctly connected before turning on the power. The cable position for the cutting machine is important to operate the system correctly. The correct grounding among with the cutting machine and peripheral devices is necessary to correctly activate the system. Connect the AC power of cutting machine with the exclusive power. Avoid laying the electric cable in the complicated location. Warning 1. Take the interval more than 5 seconds after turning off the power and then turning on the power again. 4

PL-210B 1/1 Operation procedure 1. Zero return (Return to the original point) The specified objective axes are longitudinal, transverse and lifting axes. a) Hold down the [ZERO RETURN] switch for 1 second or more to light the lamp. b) Pressing either of switches for JOG direction keys once causes the lamp to blink and then the machine moves. c) The machine reaches the zero point with decelerating. d) In the case of performing above in other axes, operate from b). The specified objective axis is focal axis. a) Press the [FOCUS RETURN] switch once to light the lamp. b) Pressing either [UP] or [DOWN] switch that the zero return would like to be applied causes the lamp to blink and then the focal axis moves to the zero point. Warning 1. It is very dangerous because the machine is moved at high speed in the case of performing the zero return. Therefore be sure to confirm the around safety before operation. Moreover, confirm there is no obstacle on the movement direction by zero return. 5

Operation procedure PL-211B 1/2 1. Zero point setting Set the zero point setting speed and detection striker direction in the Zero point set status screen with pressing the transversal function keys Setting Status in turn beforehand. a) Select the TEST_ORG_SET_XY.MPF (Standard axis specification) or TEST_ORG_SET_YX.MPF (Shipbuilding axis specification) in KOIKE_CHECK folder in the work on the screen. b) Press the MEMORY switch. c) Press the START switch. Press Traverse Key for the Target is displayed on the screen. (Press the aimed JOG direction key.) d) Press the JOG direction key (specified direction) which the zero point setting would like to be applied to once. For example, in the case of selecting which transverse axes, X-Axis you selected. Press START key if good. is displayed on the screen. (X-axis is selected. Press the START switch if it is O.K.) Press the [UP] switch to set the zero point of lifting axis. In the case that the zero point set direction of Zero point set status screen and JOG direction key are different, this message is not displayed. Press the [ALARM] switch for alarm cancel to interrupt the work, confirm the Zero point set status screen and then restart the operation. e) Press the [START] switch. f) The machine moves to the detection striker direction at High speed. Machine Moving Now is displayed on the screen during the machine moving. In the case of stopping the movement, press the [STOP] switch to stop the machine and then press the [ALARM CANCEL] switch. g) When the limit switch for zero point setting is activated, the machine decelerates up to the Low speed of zero point set status. In the case of the lifting axis, when the limit switch is activated, the machine is stopped. h) The limit switch for zero point setting is detached from striker and then stopped. This place is the zero point. Press a START key if good. is displayed on the screen. i) Press the [START] switch. j) The zero point of specified direction is set here and then the program is ended. k) In the case of setting the zero point of other axes, perform the procedure from c). 6

Description of operation unit OL-1D0C 2/2 Caution Be careful not to misunderstand the below contents. When the re-piercing is enabled, use the piercing type as well as the last piercing type. The motions to re-pierce at the machine stop position and to return to the specified stop position are inserted because the position where the machine is actually stopped, and the stop specified position are different in time. Unless the material is placed under the torch, it causes the torch to collide because the height control motion is started from the tool retract position (B). 97

Description of operation unit OL-1E0B 1/2 Title: Skip Skip function at alarm Location: Transversal function key ( Setting Status ) Item: Screen display, Check box Function: Ticking it off causes the skip operation function to be enabled. In usual cutting, detecting the touch alarm (or burning alarm) causes the after cutting to be stopped and then the usual cutting is started again from the next piercing point after the dry run. Operation procedure: 1. Ticking the Skip function at alarm on the screen off causes the skip operation to be enabled. 2. Unchecking the checkbox on the screen causes the skip operation to be disabled. 3. The processes inside of NC in the case that the skip operation is selected and the touch alarm state is occurred are as below. a) Touch alarm state Alarm is not processed. b) Touch alarm is canceled. c) Beam lock d) Nozzle is raised. e) Program is kept in dry run operation as it is. f) Torch moves to the next piercing position. g) Beam lock and dry run are turned off. h) The motion is returned to the usual motion at the next piercing point. 4. When the touch alarm is continuously occurred a few times (*1), the automatic operation is stopped and then the buzzer sounds for 30 seconds. Moreover, in the case that the Auto power-off function is also selected, the motion of automatic power-off function is performed. 98

Description of operation unit OL-1E0B 2/2 5. Even once the touch alarm is occurred, this lamp blinks. However, the blink is not turned off even by the reset of program end. Moreover, even when the power is turned off in this state, the lamp remains blinking at the next power on. Therefore, even when the program is ended or the power is automatically turned off, it is possible to confirm that the touch alarm is occurred. When this state is released, set to the MDI mode and then hold down the ALARM for more than 1 second. 6. The program No. and block No. of skipped material are memorized into the inside parameter. The block No. memorizes the command order of piercing program (Example: SPF_LASER_ON). (Usually, the sequence No. at positioning is naturally memorized.) a) The confirmation screen of block No. can be referred to the Alarm part reference screen in schedule screen. b) Realizing the block No. of skipped material memorized in the inside parameter causes to specify the block No. easily at program restart. (Block search function) c) The skipped information is automatically cleared when the next program is newly executed. *1 The arbitrary numeric value from 1 to 10 can be input as the skip times at touch alarm (Parameter 1 screen). 99
