2 Project Summary The Vernon Township School District seeks to enable savings on maintenance, cooling, space, and other operational costs by creating a consolidation plan of the existing LAN switching infrastructure across the entire school district This plan will focus primarily on removing existing distribution switches and consolidating into current access/distribution; consolidating access switches based upon port count and utilization; and adding additional redundancy where appropriate This process will also optimize management, traffic flow, bandwidth utilization, and monitoring of the network Additionally, as part of this plan, some aspects of the network will be upgraded. The anticipated necessary hardware includes 14 Cisco 9300 and 2 Cisco port PoE switches (or equivalent) with appropriate uplinks and redundant power
