2 Future Internet R&D Activities in Hungary 1. Participation in several FP6 and FP7 ICT projects (BME) and in the SmartAgriFood FI PPP project (Campden BRI) 2. Establishing Future Internet National Technology Platform (FI NTP) Future Internet Assembly (FIA) and Forum (FIF) in Budapest May FI NTP, as the Hungarian FI Forum Chapter prepares National FI Strategy Call for participating in Social Renewal Operational Programme (TÁMOP) with ICT, FI etc., proposals financed by EU Structural Funds 6. Consortium led by University of Debrecen wins in 2012 by the theme: Future Internet research from the theory to application (FIRST) 7. 10 The Future Internet National Research Program managed by Future Internet National Technology Platform, Future Internet Research Coordination Centre building upon: the membership and activity of the FI NTP (FI strategy, work-shops), the successful research projects financed by EU Structural Funds, the joining of organizations interested in FI is aiming at: fostering the Internet Technology and Science in Hungary, following, supporting and coordinating the research and innovation activity related to Future Internet in Hungary, enhancing the participation in EU R&D programmes, encouraging the cooperation within the academic sphere, between universities, promoting the cooperation between the academic sphere and the business sphere on precompetitive base. 10
