5 PROMO Vricon Digital Surface Model The Vricon Digital Surface Model (DSM) is produced from commercial satellite imagery with a unique automated technology. The Vricon DSM does not require ground control points and is delivered rapidly and with high precision over both urban and rural areas. It features 50 cm post-spacing and 3 m absolute accuracy in both the horizontal and the vertical planes. This highly accurate DSM dataset is available over Rio de Janeiro in support of the upcoming Summer Olympic Games and can be leveraged by geospatial analysts for various pre-event planning applications. Complete coverage The Vricon DSM build process digests and makes use of all available imagery. The extensive image archive of DigitalGlobe ensures complete coverage over Rio de Janeiro. High accuracy The absolute accuracy is 3 m in both the horizontal and the vertical planes, CE90 and LE90. This accuracy is achieved without ground control points.
